I was looking into getting one of these and here I am. I'm new to this style of music and @2:37 that was the most beautiful sounds I have heard played on a ukulele. You have made me want to look further into this style of music. So I really thank you for that.
Although I am approaching 2 years of playing, I definitely consider myself a novice ((as of the date of this entry)). I haven’t had professional instruction, and as an “old-school type,” I’m only partially on-board with “online learning.” Anyway, I love tenor ukuleles! They are my favourite of all of the sizes, although I do play all sizes ((Sopranino to Baritone, but all are tuned GCEA)). I have electric and acoustic, as well as 1 custom steel-string wooden electric cigar box tenor and one 8-string tenor. I have both wood and carbon fibre. I have ukes from $20-$400, plus two diy builds and like them all. At the moment, my 8-string is my favoured-one, but money doesn’t define my love of the instrument. The instrument defines my love of the instrument. My stature: I am 5’8.5” and medium-to-larger boned; I was slim/average but have become “thicker” over the last year. That said, I have 2 Enya Nova U Concert and 1 Lava U Tenor Electric/Acoustic, ukuleles, but I don’t have an Enya wooden Uke. This would be a lovely ukulele; however, I am eager to try their ROUND uke!
I just got the concert size last week, put low G strings on it, and it sounds beautiful! I feel I get the deep tenor sound in a concert size, which is better for my hands. Love it!
The mahogany is really pretty on that instrument. It seems like a lighter shade than what I'm used to seeing on a mahogany ukulele. My Lanikai tenor is definitely a darker shade than that. It's actually pretty cool to see a lighter shade of mahogany. It seems to have a well balanced sound, at least to me. But then, I like florocarbon strings...I like both the feel and the sound of them.
Thanks for the still pics at the beginning with your narration, great views of this Enya. Like Enya's way of showing the uke's label, seen thru the sound hole. Like the understated elegance with the headstocks design and decoration. Sounds great to, thanks for the string thoughts. Your scale of gig bag density protection is a great description. How you focus on the essentials of a uke really helps when purchasing one (or two:) uke's unseen, online 💕🎸💡💕

Could put a low G on the Tenor too. I like the agate tuner buttons as it's a pretty stone!
