With valentines coming I thought of making gift baskets, but thinking about it, this good be a really great business, there are holidays and birthdays all year round!!
I like that idea I often find really good things thrifted and even new but it’s definitely not replenish-able at least for the good price the thrift store sells it but it’s still fun

Hanna, Yes I Love making them too, I give them To dear friends & family members, but I really want to sell them & make money ! ! This was a good teaching video, true about, being able to get more of the same products to sell again. & That's inventory, we have to keep maybe, in our house Incase we get the same order. I have a one bedroom Apt. So I'll really have to be creative for space.

If you paid 8 & only made 8 in the end, Then Where is the Profit ? What were the extra costs ? I think that's why they say to double or triple the price. You have to give yourself an hourly rate, & cover ALL costs in the price, so you don't end up lacking. God Bless You & thanks for the video. I have more questions but I already posted a lot of stuff.
As long as the customers buy and think the end product is worth the $. Presentation is key and looking around besides dollar stores at other stores and catch clearance or sale items then there's a good chance of profit!
Thanks for the idea. You mentioned you anticipate spending $3-$5 in shipping--which carrier do you use? Shipping that size of a basket via either UPS or USPS looks to me like it'd cost $10ish. I'm curious.

Is cheaper to have your own site ? There's a lady named Felicia, Boss Birthing lady, She sells & makes Thousands of dollars. It was very addicting to watch her & others doing this, She uses a table out on the side of the road where cars can come in and out easily. She has great margins. But the Lord told me, I had to do it "His way" that's why I am scanning every basket selling that I can, Hoping to find "His" Way 💜🙏🕊️ Are you still doing this ? It's 2022 & now the Dollar Tree is 1.25. I think you could get more for your baskets for sure ! I'm not so technically savey at all so doing the online thing we be challenge for me. Do you sell them in other places ?
@B.Marie, Yes they have stepped up their game. A little better quality & much more things. I put some name brand things in the baskets & then some Dollar Tree 🌴 stuff, the back brush, Scrubbies, Pedicure products. I always check the liguid products before I buy them if I can. It can be a beautiful tube on the outside, but smell really cheap. So I try be careful with stuff like that even if get home & open it & it's not good, u can make an even exchange, I have done that many times . Best wishes of Success & Prosperity to You. 🕊️
Yeah there’s not enough margin here for it to be worth putting the effort into organizing and tidying the basket IMO. Goal should be work smart, not hard. However, let’s keep in mind some people love putting these things together and this is enjoyable for them. So, they would see it as getting paid to do something they love.

I was told to triple the price, you have to make a profit, as long as it doesn't go too high.
I use mugs and fill with toiletries and cosmetic products. Some are sample sizes and little trinkets are thrifted.

$7-$8 profit is not worth the expense of time & gas. Its frustrating when other basket makers price items low online.
