First, Ethereal Can't live outside Hollow because they are Hollow Energy(Ether) itself. Second, become Ether means Death. Maybe only their will remain in their Ethereal body not their soul. Third, Hell nah... If we can't even go outside a Hollow and there is still much Hollow just like Hollow Zero, Dead End, Outer Ring, etc. but we just stuck in a hollow that it can shrinking anytime and disappear it's not good.
Section six is really Just one massive ticking time bomb. Two VERY volatile characters that would wipe out alot of people, a child, and a girl who sometimes goes blind
This quest is soooo sad, its crazy how much they expanded on his character with this character story, and how it covers darker topics too... ZZZ got an amazing story and this is an example!
something really heartbreaking is that his master stuck around as an ethereal to preserve the serum for harumasa, which inspired him to tell us that should he turn into an ethereal, we should kill him because he doesn't want to spend forever just wandering in the hollows. And in a quest in port elpis, we meet an npc named Nian who (long story short) took the name of his dead friend and started a rumor about the port to try and find out the truth of his friend's mysterious death (suffered in the hollow). Which was only hidden because the ship he was on didn't want to admit that they messed up. I bring this up because Nian wins the lawsuit and decides to move away from the port (he and the original nian born and raised there). But one of the people on the port tells us that right before we talked to Nian he mumbled to himself that he wished he could throw himself into the hollows. That if he too could turn into an ethereal, they both could spend forever in the hollow. That even if they couldn't recognize each other and they couldn't speak, at least they would still be passing by each other. And I just think that wow, this is the direct opposite of what Harumasa wanted. We see back and forth two different perspectives of grief. While Harumasa grieved over his master, he moves on with his life after finding out the truth that's been haunting him. While Nian who was seeking justice, still held a deep grief that plagued him. Basically stuck in the bargaining stage because he wanted so badly to trade his life to see Nian again. Ironically the fact that they’re not all sunshine and rainbows makes them realistic and comforting. Also the writing is so fire. I wish more people would sit and actually read those dialogues
Best agent story so far, not sure anyone else could top that in the future. Harumasa is my favorite character. He is a hero. He is the moment. He is a legend. Thank you Hoyo for creating him.

Yup! I think the interesting part is that in some scenes, his fangs are there and other times, not. It Could be his Illness because in his demo when you see his younger self, it doesn’t seem he has fangs at that time so I’m assuming he got them as he got older. Idk tho. I’ve played the story quest and it still doesn’t explain it but that’s my assumption.

god this story is so good, i could gush about it for a while, a really good look into the genuine thoughts and processing of hopelessness and even suicide, they got a lot correct here, more than any fuckin health class, and im very glad, he was the underdog, in a community like this, being a guy in a girl group is a hard uphill battle to fight to be noticed or even liked, and at least in my eyes, they knocked it out of the god damn park

Abt his backstory he basically had a permanent disease and they experimented on him to make a drug that can buff ppl and rn he had an evil colleague that wanted to do the same to sm kids but he took it for them so he collapsed (in the cutscene). Hope that kinda helps
I hope it's a situation where they can eventually synthesize a cure like the one he took to help him fully keep it in check. Kinda like how people with Chrons Disease get regular doses to keep their condition in check. It sounds like it's not something too far off, but Harumasa just needs to be careful in the meantime.
I'm crying- the animation is amazing but I wish the scene was paced slower to have more emotional impact and emphasis. I really feel like this scene was rushed x10 or something...

The fact that Harumasa’s master made sure to guard that case even as an Ethereal, gives me chills knowing that it was all in saving Harumasa.
