- What's better than warm, slow summer days? WRONG. A cold Dr. Pepper. You thought I was going to say nothing, didn't you? But in all fairness, few things are better than a summer day filled with gardening, Canning, baking bread, and little boys playing outside. Lucky for you, I've packed all that and more into today's video! I hope you enjoy watching this video as much as I enjoyed creating it.

The Bread Recipe👇

Chocolate Marshmallow Bars
3/4 Cup Butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/3 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3 Tablespoons Cocoa
4 cups mini marshmallows
Cream Butter and Sugar. Add Eggs & Vanilla. Beat until fluffy. in a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt & cocoa. Add to wet ingredients. pour into a greased jelly roll, or a 9x13 & 9x9, (which is what i do) Bake at 350 for 15-18 mins. Sprinkle marshmallows on top, return to oven for 2 to 3 mins. Using a knife dipped in water, spread the marshmallows evenly. Allow to cool.
TOPPING:
8 oz Chocolate Chips (1 and 1/3 cup)
3 Tablespoons Butter
1 cup peanut butter
add to a sauce-pan and melt over medium heat. once melted, add
2 cups crisp rice cereal. spread on cooled marshmallows. Allow to cool before serving, otherwise the chocolate mixture with be very messy. ENJOY

Made my day between the pans falling, the silverware falling and Levi spitting up it brought me back to the days when my children were little. I’m a grandma now and love it but watching you going through a typical “real “ day was so much like mine used to be. I also love that you don’t use voiceover very much. Feels like I’m visiting and not just watching a video. This video is definitely a treasure.

I enjoy a mixture of short and long. Depends on how busy my day is going because I definately watch rather than listen. Example how sweet was the scene of the little one scooting a long step to sit next to his brother.

As a working mom, 15-20 mins is easier for me because I listen to it on the way to school (I'm a teacher).

I worked at a nursery where the owner would grow and establish Peones, he would take a well-established plant and uproot then saw it in half roots and all. after a season each established plant would become 2. as long as it was done at the correct time they would flower as normal, but the overall size would not get huge. instead of growing vegetation they would spend the season mostly regrowing roots. it was quite amazing to see especially with a flower that really does take a bit to get established.

For me personally I think the 20-30 min videos are perfect. I tend to watch them while I am working or doing housework. Your videos are so sweet and inspirational. I'd watch them at any length. 🥰
Love the long format. I'm a not-as-busy grandma. 😊 Feed those buggy leaves to the chickens! Extra eggs, no bugs, win-win! Enjoy these busy days with your precious boys. Before you know it they will be reaching things on tall shelves and opening jars for you.

I vote for 15 to 20 minute videos, because that’s like the perfect length for me to get through while sitting to feed the baby. That said, the longer videos still get watched somehow 😊
And I just have to say, the video of Miles so carefully scooting the whole way across the step to sit next to his brother was so adorably funny! I just laughed and laughed, and my baby stopped feeding to look at me, like “whaaaat????”😂
We always plant marigolds with our vegetables and it has worked well with repelling bugs plus the chickens can eat the flowers!!

Trying to remember the first video I seen of yours I know I've seen a lot the one that stands out to most to me you're at the clothesline and you and your husband was telling everyone he was expecting your first child now I know there was some before that but that's what I remember I think I think with three young children you need to decide how long you want to make these you know where I'll be here to watch them no matter what they are blessings to you and yours

The length of video that you have been doing is fine. But you decide because you are the one to film it and edit it. And also you are the one choosing the content. Any length of video you do I will watch and enjoy. Let the Lord lead you in deciding. Spend some time praying about it.

I definitely love long videos but I also know how much work goes into filming them and editing so I’m good with whatever you can do!! You’re a busy mommy and wife so do whatever is easiest for you and I’ll watch regardless of the length.

I do recall potato beatles but my grandfather used a white powder like chemical ... I hope someone helps you out with how to deter them naturally ... I always Love a good 20-30 minute video. So many times a lot of the videos I watch are 40 -60 minutes and I have to skip by them because I don't have time! I ALWAYS rim my garden with marigolds specially if it is not a raised bed. The rabbits dont cross them and they are 90% good at keeping the deer away.

I had potato bugs last year too, and I’d planted marigolds (coincidentally) across the plot and the bugs were still bad, BUT thank you for the tip because I’m now going to plant them much closer to my potatoes this year and see if that helps haha

My husband is the gardener. But the more flowers we have in the garden (including lots of marigolds), the less the bugs like our veggies. We do get some loss due to insects, but we don’t spray at all.

I plant marigolds on the bottom tier of my Greenstalks. It seems to help keep pests away.
