God I can't imagine the time sink for putting up the sample list like you've done, but I adore the style, makes those moments of "OH MY GOD WHAT AM I HEARING" way easier since you can check the sample list to see what's popping in when
Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh how funny are you Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I love the song sample titles on the vid. Makes it easier to individually hear each it from this wonderful mashup and it shows the effort of making the mashup.
MAN i was commuting on my way to school when this banger dropped (didnt actually listen to this at first, notifs just told me otw), bit confused and disappointed that classes today are just online even when announcements said today would have face-to-face classes, but when i listened to this banger like few hours after coming back home and stuff, *THIS LITERALLY STARTED AND MADE MY DAY NO CAP.* Spectacular work as always, Dayman.
I didn't expect such a nostalgic feeling today, but you've nailed that at the very least. I thoroughly enjoyed this one, and even if it's not your usual style, keep doin what you're doin, whatever it is it's working
The way you combined all the music was amazing. Hearing them fade in and out was so fun. I wish The Anthem was in the song more, but I can't complain too much!
A true STATE OF THE DAYMAN ART MASHUP!!! THIS IS what is defined as being THE STATE OF THE DAYMAN ART MASHUP! Having fun while creating something amazing.
As someone who's always found "only source material YTPMVs" really impressive, I adore how creative this is. I mean yeah it sounds good but its also really interesting
I would really love your insight on if you think it's possible to make a hit song with a western pop melody on top of jpop chord structure and arrangment.
I think it's definitely possible. This may sound jaded but, when it comes to pop music most people are hearing it through speakers on their phone or the radio, so they're mostly paying attention to the catchy vocals and punchy production. Even with a kind of stereotypical jpop chord structure / style, I think it can totally be done. Over the years, western pop and eastern pop have definitely taken influence from each other, imo. Though I love the style of Japanese production, especially when mixing guitars and bass, they use techniques outside the box and get beautiful sound. Even Jrock from the 2000's sounds so clean to this day, it sounds modern, like Asian Kung-Fu Generation and Ogre You A-hole.
@@DaymanOurSavior jpop melodies usually have a lot of notes in a row and the words used in the lyrics are usually many syllables versus western pop for some reason sounding more natural with less syllables per measure. I really want to find a way to combine the jpop melody style with English words without making it sound unnatural to an English speaker.
I love the interplay between the "Oh oh oh"s of the Kesha and the Plain White Ts tracks, this whole piece is so clever

I'm glad! That really didn't take too long, and I'll probably do it for future songs too.
Dayum 'Hot Milk' really works as a percussive element!
Also, holy crap been a while since I've heard We Are Young, I nearly forgot about it👀👀👀
A bit of snails house always livens up the party, it was fun to chop it up and the chords on it are so funky :)

It's always nice to hear "My Own Worst Enemy" in a mashup
To even put each song on video when it comes into play... A lot of effort went into this and we appreciate it! Banger as usual.
The way you combined all the music was amazing. Hearing them fade in and out was so fun.
I wish The Anthem was in the song more, but I can't complain too much!
Definitely down with this style. Really like the titles fading in and out, that’s a nice touch.
Don’t think it’s the best vocal wise, but still solid.
I'm gonna admit, I haven't had my eye on this channel in a few years. Damn, what a banger to come back to on.
