Guys, I had a break through. This may be something called “Prickly Heat”. Try putting on some hydrocortisone cream for a couple days and see what happens. It seems to be working for me. If it seems to help, ask your doctor to prescribe some stronger cream.

I read through the comments section and felt a lot of empathy. I would like to thank you all for sharing your stories. I was diagnosed today with cholinergic urticaria, the one caused due to changes in room temperature or elevated emotions. I know its going to ruin my life just like it did yours. Let's try our best to face it and do the things we can do and want to do, otherwise life won't be worth it. I wish you all well from the bottom of my heart and always remember that you are stronger than your petty allergy!

I’ve had this for years and found the cure for me. It’s working out and breaking a good sweat first thing in the morning. For the first 5-10 minutes of my workout I feel the burn and get redness but it’s worth it to go the rest of the day as normal. I’ve had periods when I’ve been to the gym consistently with no days off and didn’t suffer any flare at all. I must’ve wiped out the histamines / triggers or something. Hope this helps.

I have dermatographism. It started in May slowly and no one knew what it was. From May to September I was constantly trying new medications, being given injections almost every night because I couldn't sleep. The itchiness never stopped. The most sleep I could get was 3h per night. I have never felt worse and more depressed than that summer. Now I'm trying to get used to it, some medicine is helping but nothing lasts for long. It's calmed down since the summer but it still makes me miserable. Plus doctors telling me there's really nothing I can do, they tell me to not stress. This disease is slowly ruining me and no one really understands it unless they have it.

Same, I keep reminding myself I'll break out into systemic hives if I scratch anything.
Zyrtec helps me manage, but it's not bullet proof.
5 months of desensitization aka allergy shots - immunotherapy, treatments are the only thing that truly made a difference. Now it's a manageable condition, but I have my back up prednisone and epipens for emergencies.

I faithfully take a Zyrtec daily, but I initially took an allergy test to find what triggers me the most because I have severe allergies on top of this drama as well as eczema. I find that too much bread dairy and sugar really exacerbate this issue. Also when my immunity is down it's more of a struggle as well... Whatever y'all do STAY HYDRATED and away from too much soda.

It seems to just get worse every year, causing eczema from itching so much now it's so painful can't ever touch my face without flaring up. Can't even wear make up anymore. What % of the population have life threatening dermatagraphia? I go into full blown anaphylaxis if mine is left untreated/unchecked.
I was attacked by a swarm of mosquitoes, even while wearing repellent, and unknown to me at the time I had dermatagraphia. Naturally, I scratched all over and within 45 minutes I was in the ER.
2 Epi-Pens, a benadryl drip, prednisone, along with other medications I can't remember, saved my life!
Now my dermatagraphia is worse than ever. I need zyrtec everyday or I start to flare up into eventual anaphylaxis. Fun times, but I suspect I'm something like 1% of the 1-3% of people who have this as a life threatening condition. Just curious, thanks!

Thanks that I found this video, I think i have Dermatographism, I've had it before in my teenage years, it was fun before because i can write at my skin, ang my friends were so amazed too, but it wasn't worst, it's itching but it's bearable... Then suddenly it goes away and I became totally normal... Then now that I'm in my late 20's it came back and it's the worst! 😭 It never let's me sleep peacefully at night, just a simple scratch in my skin can become huge because it's so itchy and burning that i can't help but to scratch again, then it's forever... 😭😭😭 It's so stressful... Then i accidentally eat seafood which is I'm allergic to, i had to take antihistamine, then i realized that my skin writing became mild at that moment, and I thought that maybe it's skin allergy or something so I've been taking antihistamines at least once or twice a day now, not unless i forgot and I'll definitely suffer the entire day... Now I watched this, and became a little educated about my condition, at least now I know that I'm not the only one having this... Some people are saying that maybe i have a dirty blood that's why i have this... 😅😭

Hope this helps guys!

Thank you for sharing. I had this when I was 7 years old. Im now 27 and it has started again. Last week I got a cold, and was given a medication called Gelodurat to help with my sinusitis. In combination to this I was extremely stressed out at work last week. I am now itchy all over my body, when I sleep, when I shower.. whenever I do anything. It's horrible.
Antihistamines don't seem to be helping.
Gelodurat can cause urticaria. I read this in the SmPc after I tried to work out what I had taken during the week i was sick.
It's now been 10 days where I am extremely itchy and so fed up it's causing me so much grief.

Started intermittent fasting 6 months ago. IF is amazing if you haven't committed to it yet. But.... Hives appeared 2 weeks after starting. Figured it would go away since my body was detoxing from 5 years of junk food. Here we are with hives almost everyday! From what I've been reading for months it's related to the gut health. I'm not a doctor, but it seems to disappear for those who do a strick diet change. Especially and most recently those who stick with a carnivore diet for NO LESS than 10-12 weeks. Helps reset your gut. I'm definitely going to try it starting next week. I Love my veggies but finding out most of my favs are high in histamine such as spinach and avocados. Yea it sucks!
I've only started this week keeping a food log. I'm also scheduled to see a natural path doc next month.
    This will be interesting.

I’ve been suffering from this as well for many years and finally started to try and find out the root cause and cure bc no medical professional can offer any advice beyond taking an allergy pill everyday.
It seems to stem from an abundance of histamine in the body. That’s why an allergy pill will help but for me it was not enough.
Histamine is produced in the body during an allergic reaction and there are many foods that naturally contain histamine.
There are two primary enzymes in the body to break down histamine. One is DAO and the other HNMT. I found taking a soil based prebiotic and probiotic has helped my gut health which allowed my body to produce more of there enzymes necessary to break down the histamine in my body.
This has seemed to cure my dermatographia

Mainly because the material of a gown is thick, rough and full of sequins. Am I worrying too much or is my concern legit?

I’ve had this for years and found the cure for me. It’s working out and breaking a good sweat first thing in the morning. For the first 5-10 minutes of my workout I feel the burn and get redness but it’s worth it to go the rest of the day as normal. I’ve had periods when I’ve been to the gym consistently with no days off and didn’t suffer any flare at all. I must’ve wiped out the histamines / triggers or something. Hope this helps.

First of all, my face every now and then has been getting red for no apparent reason, this redness has never happened to me before. When I exercise its a fact that little bumps like pimples appear on my cheeks, its feels like they where always there but suddenly activate and it makes me look like i never got my acne under control. This bumps also appear when I apply make up, its a fact that the next minute I'm gonna have pimples thru the night and even a day o 2 later.
    Any advice?

Yep, watching my hives fade day after day until they completely vanished was such a relief, I went with what I pointed out and within the first 10 days or so the urticaria was barely visible! I simply go'ogled the latest updates by Shane Zormander and after 20 days my skin has never been healthier!

He is one of those marketers who can't patent the cure or sell it in a bottle, so it is protected by selling it only as a book, the advertising not revealing the nature of the cause. He is correct that the problem has to be overactive immunity or autoimmune. Unfortunately lifestyle change directed at one problem ignores the needs to handle other chronic problems at the same time. As people get older and problems accumulate, the solutions pile on themselves. Am I on the urticaria lifestyle this week, the diabetic regime, or the cardiovascular diet?

I've had it for a couple years and when they're itchy, it really sucks and sometimes I can't sleep. It also makes me really self-conscious about taking off my clothes because my chest and back always seem to be covered in hives when I do. Although I do sometimes use it as a party trick with my friends and they find it pretty funny when I write stuff on my skin and it pops up 2 minutes later

I guess hype comes with all these treatments and cures. Some work, some don’t they all have the same hype. How to know what gets rid of hives in weeks? DYOR, or maybe start with something like what I found after gooling Shane Zormander’s hive cure, or even Wikipedia.

Same. Hit 2 weeks after my Moderna booster. Not much data on this yet, but plenty of anecdotes online. I read a post from an allergist who says she's seen an uptick in cases correlated to the shot (they can't confirm the cause), and fortunately most seem to resolve on their own in about 3 months. I'll be seeing an allergist soon myself to try to figure this out.

I’ve had it for 15 years!😔 I even get it on my private part’s, after my monthly. I need to put ice 🧊🥺 after sex I apply ice or cold shower! If I drive my hands irritated or mop even rake! I love to shovel snow I can feel better with snow on my hands I learned to prefer pain over itching! I also learned that in my desperate situation to run to Allegra it calmed it but would actually make it worse would come back stronger! I put to the test, yup! So, stop relying on meds! Cream did nothing. Dr. Don’t really know just prescription after prescription. My only remedy to stay home on Social Security 😣 handycap sign at age 45!
We can’t walk too much sit too long stand too long even sit on the toilet too long! 😔 sleep too long on one side 😔 was even offered chemo for 30 days but I’ll just stay home not trying to wear shoes that bother! But hey guys! I can tell you one thing best Summer slides adidas adilete I walked universal studios 🙌🏼 no problem 😉🥰 I got home bought all colors!

I’ve had uticaria for 15 years, driving me bonkers. I’m from an Afro Caribbean background - milk allergy is common so I believe - I think this may be my problem but I also react to heat, cold, touch, pressure on the skin, physical contact. It’s really annoying. Even if I just lie down in my bed I get it all on my back and my legs. I’ve found the only cure is a low dairy diet and a cetirizine a day. Just get the hives/weals but not itchy which makes me happier . Hope that helps :)
