I have noticed that the NIC runs hot (75 deg C) when at USB 3.x (1Gbps) and cool (40 deg C) when at USB 2.x (100Mbps). In addition, the fan does not appear to help cool the NIC in any way. As a temporary solution I have the dock sitting on a very large CPU heat sink and able to lower the temp of the NIC to less than 65 deg C using the external mod. I think that the air flow for the fan is not designed in a way that allows for any air to be pushed (or pulled) through the unit and that vent holes are needed to address. I am interested to know if this is a known issue that is being evaluated for some kind of tweak to the NIC idle TDP in a future firmware update please?

Can I use for USB A socket for charging, when can't connect it for my computer via USB-C? I connect only USB-C PD charger for the HUB. Thanks a lot!
