    I hate to be the one to point it out, but there are no slaves in the U.S. So, if we want to know "What To The Slave is the Fourth of July," we need a medium to perform a seance and ask deceased people who were slaves 150 years ago.

      I believe if you read the title you will see that what they are reading are the words of Fredrick Douglas, a former slave

      You clearly have no idea who Frederick Douglass was. A simple google search would have saved you from embarrassing yourself by making such a stupid comment.

      However you define slavery, it's alive and well within and outside the United States. Humans are still trafficked, bought, and sold and systems to profit off this are thriving. What you should hate is that fact not your willingness or eagerness to avert your eyes.
