    I've never commented before but you are the reason I started playing trap decks in general. Your in depth analysis of every trap has made me realize how to really play trap decks and not shotgun traps like I use to. Even though eldlich isn't as great with bystials around, I still play that and labrynth. Keep up the great work man!

    Really cool to hear about your experience at the event, really sucks to hear about the endurance side and the lack of sleep.
    Two pieces of advice from when I was on a swim team, the first is that when it comes to hydration you need to be hyper hydrating for like the entire week before the event, just the day before or on that day isn’t enough.
    The other piece of advice is with something called “tapering.” We would exercise a ton throughout the season, but for State the week before the event we would practice half or even a quarter as much, so that the day of the event we would have a ton of extra energy. I’m not exactly sure how that would translate to yu gi oh tournament prep but I’m just suggesting things.

    I'm going to YCS philly next month, but I wish I went to the 250th in L.A. because I think the new superheavy cards are gonna really impact the format and make it harder for Labrynth to compete. I really like this current format and how everything is viable. Just wanted to point out that the nature of this format is probably why you & your friends experienced so much variance. There truly will be some big events in different formats that feel like you're playing against the same deck over and over.

    2:21:13 As a Floo player, I understand this play. Floo's win condition against back row deck is UW, so unless you have some kind of dodge (Advent, book), you want to keep UW in hand and make the back row player wasting their face down card on the small bird, their goal is to have 1 small bird then safely use UW (especially when you open map, you want to keep UW in hand for the normal summon, as I have said, I am a Floo master so I know the mindset of Floo player). Also, remember, he doesn't need to have Toccan in hand to do the play, if you torrential him at Eglen, he just need to summon one of the bird he got back from the banish zone and use UW to tribute summon Empen, so the right play is using solemn strike to cut him off of Empen.

    2:17:29 So if the opponent open map + stri, your right play should be solemn strike the robina on field effect. Why? You can be sure that they don't have eglen in hand cause they definitely want to map reveal eglen, so unlike some situation when you w8 to negate exactly eglen, in this scenario, solemn robina would be the best play. More over, if you w8 them robina search eglen then solemn eglen, they might hard draw Empen and tribute both robina stri. But well, you need to fully master Floo to understand this situation ( I am ranked 1 on YGO Omega with Floo). Your opponent was lucky to out your board but it was due to your missplay. In the end, we learn the hard way and just need to make sure we don't make the same mistake again

    Hey dude I have couple of questions as lab player
    1 what do u think about the furniture build? It seems a lot better in the grind and less bricky. Also very spicy
    2 what about playing temple of the king?
    Thanks

    • @MattDawgGaming
      @MattDawgGaming Год назад

      Oh my sweet summer child
      He doesn’t like either of them. He has a whole video specifically about why he doesn’t like the furniture, basically the idea of neging now to maybe get returns in the future is not good, it’s way stronger to set 4 pass because you instantly have your entire board online at max power, and they can all be used at the same speed (during opponent’s turn) giving your whole board more synergy. The game is too fast to hope you can survive into the grind game. He has said there is sometimes a case for siding in the clock when going first, but that’s it.
      It’s similar to temple of the kings. Basically you cost yourself one of your spell/trap zones in order to get a single trap online a turn early, which is not good because you want all your traps online at the same so they can all synergize with each other. In order to break a board you can’t just activate one trap on your turn and a few more on your opponent’s turn, you need them all hitting at the same time. He would rather have his fifth trap be a high impact card like torrential tribute, dogmatica punishment, or something. He even has the field spell in the side deck at one as a going first option because it’s too low impact compared to what you need out of your main deck.

    I still dont agree with 2 welcome. I think its stupid as this one is better going second too. The opponent has a board and you just set 5
    Now its opp turn. If you welcome they are forced to neg cause otherwise u get lovely and they cant respond. Big welcome doesnt interact in any ways with the opp by itself. So both are very important.
    Also the reason i dont like 3 lord is cause it adds on to the monster count which is fine for u cause u dont play arianna but it also isnt good going second vs certain decks. Btw i love the strikes. I just tested it a couple games it was fucking good.

    • @g07h4xf00
      @g07h4xf00  Год назад

      Have you tried playing 2 welcome (assuming you have 2 trap trick)? I've seriously never missed the third copy. I already put Arianna back in so I'm running 1 Ari. In this very same video I have Arianna since the 2 main deck sphere modes flopped (even though it was really good in playtesting). I often side Lord out when I'm going second unless it's against a deck that will likely set up a quick effect pop on my turn like swordsoul blackout. I actually mention siding out lord for going second in this video as well.

    • @deruneldembal5048

      @@g07h4xf00 2 traptrick is something i find terrible going second (depending on how they play) The card is crazy good but what i was saying about welcome doesnt apply here. They play i do with welcome is to bait the negate or if they dont do it i just win, and with trsptrick they let it resolve and then just neg what i do afterwards. Traptrick is just subpar going second unless your other backrow lets you reliably use it as the last one. You probably know these scenarios where you are forced to use traptrick at a point and that feels bad af.

    the video would have been better if you didn't take 30+ minutes to ramble on about things that aren't important every section. you having a positive record against someone that topped the event doesn't matter unless you did better than them. when talking about the Drytron player it just sounds like you're complaining they made it and you didn't even if you're trying to "prove" your locals is a good place to test and didnt need to be that long of a topic. this didn't need to be a 3 hour video where 20 minutes is the profile plus talking about first ycs experience and the rest is just you rambling like an old man talking about his youth.

      The only reason I mentioned the other players from my locals is to make the point that my locals has a competitive environment for practicing and playtesting (so it's not like they're a bunch of scrubs). Also to make the point that I could have performed as good or better than them if I prepared better. It's a lesson for me to learn for the next big event.
      I can talk about whatever I want for as long as I want because it's my video. If you don't like it, feel free to fuck right off.
