They are allowed to include a charger because they use proprietary charging. However, the EU and OEMs have agreed to remove PD chargers because they are widely available. Hi Chris. Nice review, and to see Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland looking great in your video. I'm guessing you have the Samsung S25 Ultra already (wink wink) and been testing it while in New Zealand. Looking forward to your review next week 😜😊.
Ah I would have hoped to have it but it seems Samsung didn't like my Z Fold 6 videos so I don't have it and no trip to unpacked this year. I might buy it however if the release date is close enough to the embargo date. But if there is a big difference I won't get many views so probably skip it or buy one only for camera comparisons.
Please can you share your experience with the proximity sensor in this device, I think it's a virtual type not an infrared one (not sure about it) because I am wondering to buy one but I have my concerns about virtual proximity sensor I have a bad experience with it since my Poco F3 contains one of these virtual proximity sensor, thanks for the feedback
Hi tech i already order this phone after watching your video..i choose pro version high spec ram and storage...sadly i m not found your link to buy this phone..already buy with my local seller in online market...thanks tech for your video..i appreciate your video❤
Most people used to said Redmi and Dimensity is the worst tag team. May I know how do you feel on this x7 Pro? How about the x7 pro compare to F6? Similar priced.
No ads or bloatware would mean a higher price. Price generally reflects demand more than ads/bloat. This is done everywhere; for example, you pay less to sit through ads on Netflix. It is a commercial, well-established business model. They should offer a code for $50 that you can use to de-clutter the phone if it is unacceptable. But I feel that at these ridiculously low prices and the understanding that businesses have to make some money to survive, it is a reasonable compromise.
They are both incredible smartphones! But in my opinion, it is not worth switching from the X6 generation to the X7 generation. We have had good improvements in terms of IP68, better battery and screen protection. On the other hand, other improvements were very moderate, especially for those who own an X6 pro 12/512. Those who are migrating from an X5 or even an F5, they will feel a good difference between the devices.
Isn't it weird that the X7 supports esim while the X7 Pro doesn't? Also, the curved screen on the X7 is more expensive to manufacture. I recently got the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus with such a curved screen. I got it because it was one of the cheapest phones that supported esim, and I did have reservation about the screen. However, it appears to be more convenient than a regular flat screen. I have much more control over the screen edges with my fingers, and the protective case doesn't interfere around them. Took me very little time to get used to this screen and it is now my preference.
Seems like the X7 Pro has added only one hour in the battery benchmark compared to Poco X6 Pro. Either HyperOS2 has not improved its battery life or the chip is not efficent.
Honestly, I don’t know why reviewers complain about optical fingerprints sensors, on Xiaomi phones they are really fast. They are faster than some of the ultrasonic ones of the old Samsung phones.
Honestly im a bit disappointed with the Pro version I mean, the specs and back design are great, but i feel like the base model looked much more "refined" because of the curved edges of the screen on the base model vs flat screen on the pro version Also, besides the battery, my poco x3 pro still kicks ass to this day, now with 4 years of use so i dont think there was enought additions to make me consider upgadring just yet. The Amoled screen looks great tho
Curved displays are now associated with mid-range as Samsun, Apple, and Google all move to flat displays and Chinese OEMs using quad-core curved displays. So, no surprise, the Pro model is flat, and the cheaper Poco has curved.
I'm still using my X3 NFC (3.5 years later - purchased for £139) and it's going strong. Would love a spec upgrade but I only use my device for basic applications and streaming. I was even considering cmf nothing 1 as a cheap upgrade (£169).
Curved screens aren't really 'outdated', it's just a question of market demand, curved screens just aren't as popular in Western markets, though still seem to be quite popular in Asia. I actually prefer the feel of a curved screen, but I do recognise they are more sensative to damage if dropped (which could also be a reason manufacturers don't use them as much anymore, imagine it will reduce repair claims).
someone can explain to me how every single phone reviewer has been able to recieve both phones, meanwhile here in the USA, the only location that is currently selling them is Aliexpress and you can only order the x7 and not the Pro version. WTF?
