The lessons from Stoic philosophy have truly helped me stay calm when facing life's challenges. Focusing on what I can control and letting go of what I cannot change is something I learned from this video. Thank you for sharing such meaningful content! 🌟

This video really made me think about the balance between being attentive and coming off as creepy by remembering too many details. I think it’s about finding that middle ground where you show you care without making it seem like you're keeping a dossier on someone. It's a tough balance to strike! Anyone else find themselves overthinking this during conversations?

The idea of embracing discomfort has helped me grow so much. 🔥

Staring without blinking might seem like a small thing, but it's fascinating how much it can impact social interactions. After watching this, I'm more conscious about how my eye contact might be perceived. It's all about striking that balance between attentive and unsettling. Anyone else find themselves consciously trying to blink more during conversations now?

Starting without blinking is genuinely appalling and petrified, when you take a cursory glance at someone it really make them wonder what is going on

Laughing at the wrong time can be so awkward! This video highlighted how nervous laughter or misplaced giggles can send the wrong signals. I've definitely had moments where I laughed out of nervousness and it was misunderstood. It's all about emotional intelligence, isn't it? How do you all manage to keep a check on this in serious situations?"

😂😂😂😂great video. For No. 2 . I’m vary analytical. I’m a boomer and as teenagers growing up life in the movie American Graffiti we cruised around in cars. So we would remember the exact car you drove down to minute detail 🤪🤪😂😂😂👍. So this habit spilled over into all aspects of my life. I’m bad at remembering names but if I see you standing next to your car , that’s all I need. I’ll remember the make, model, color, tires and that dent in the left rear quarter panel 😂😂 . Thats how we rolled back then with the multiple high schools in my town and everyone would cruise gut downtown any night of the week just like in American Graffiti. Who the bad guys where and all the good looking girls where and from what high school 😂😂😂👍. Those were fun times indeed. 12 to 1 compression pistons, high lift cams and 105 octane leaded premium gasoline at the pump for .27 cents a gallon. No cellphones , no internet etc. You had to get out drive around to meet people. They tried to shut us down for years. It took the state legislature to from a metro government agency to buy out the local privately, bankrupt bus company to from a transit district, federal government matching funding and city funding and tear up 15 city blocks to put in a transit mall to shut us down. Fun times they were 😃👍.

Touching can be such a nuanced form of communication! I find it interesting that what's affectionate to some can be totally invasive to others. This segment on touching too often was a real eye-opener. It's important to gauge the comfort level of others before reaching out. Curious to know, do others also struggle with this in social settings?

@@StoicRiseUp so right. I get kinda a feeling of anxiety of people touching me because I’m thinking what are they up to-2😂. Handshakes no problem but touching a different thing all together. Especially if the person is unknown to me.

@@MrMopar413 hank you for sharing your thoughts! It’s completely understandable to feel that way, especially when it comes to personal boundaries. Stoicism teaches us to focus on what we can control-like how we respond to situations-while accepting that we can’t control others’ actions. Trusting your instincts and setting boundaries is key to maintaining your peace of mind. Handshakes are more formal, but unsolicited touching can definitely feel intrusive, especially with people you don’t know well. Always listen to your intuition and prioritize your comfort!

Just listen more to these type of videos. They really help. Plus, sometimes we are naive, and gullible. Makes us more susceptible to crazy behavior. I pray often, even about my behavior. I’m not a social person, and don’t want to be. So things are awkward to begin with for me.
