He has been singing on the streets (busking) with a guitar in his hands most of his life. So this is very Ren-ish. The "all hip hop and rapping" (sick boi) album was Ren's goal to challenge himself to see if he could do it. The majority of his music is just what you heard, he likes to throw little rap sections in there as well. He sings duets with collabs and of course sung with his bands as well. I'm guessing you haven't heard much of his busking videos, that is mainly all singing.

Ren isn't just a rapper. In fact he sings more than he raps and he does EVERY genre and does them all brilliantly! He's had more rap/hip-hop tracks over the last year because he was making a rap/hip-hop album. :)
True, he raps like a rap god, scats and beatboxes brilliantly but he also has incredible vocals, capable of multiple voices, styles and tones. He plays about a dozen instruments well. Half of them RIDICULOUSLY well! All self-taught! He's a top-notch producer, always setting up the audio and recording himself and laying down his own music/beats/audio. His performance skills are first class too. He oozes charisma and his stage presence is palpable! He directs most of his own videos, many of which, like this one, are recorded live, in a single take! His songwriting skills are world-class! Especially his lyricism. He's a poet really and a bloody good poet at that!
Ren's a unique artist. A musical genius! A once in a generation talent! If not for his illnesses, making him unable to tour or promote and knocking him out completely on occasion and being in constant pain, he's be a global megastar by now. Signing to a label would raise his profile massively but he's determinedly independent and became the first fully independent artist to have a number 1 UK album, despite all the above, knocking Drake off the top spot, going top 10 in several other countries and topping the US hip-hop album chart! Ren has no label, no financial backing, no PR machine and no management. Every label under the Sun has tried to sign Ren. He's turned them all down! With Ren, it really is all about the music! :)

If you don't think this is "very Ren-ish" it's just because you don't know him properly yet :) To me personally this has Ren written all over the place; a retake of other songs with his own unique twist and flair, several songs melded together in a seamless way, a dash of "naughty bars" and a heavenly vocal performance!

You ladies ain't been on the Ren Train hardly at all if you only think he is a rapper. Ren is one of the most diverse artists of the day. You need to, or should, dive into his catalogue, along with his band "The Big Push" and collabs with Chinchilla. He is way more than a rapper. What you may not realise is that this retake was created by Ren and his small team in just ten days from a germ of an idea in Ren's brain - to filming in a Brighton bar and created over the Xmas break. Not only that, in a BTS scene released by Ren there is a shot of him rehearsing these lyrics whilst sitting on a couch with a drip in his arm, as he is undergoing almost daily treatment in an attempt to restore his damaged immune system. He and his team are legendary.

I was going to say the same thing. Even though the song sounds old, it's a modern song in the MoTown spirit. I really want them to watch the original Jungle video and comment on the choreography that was so good. Over here in the U.S. this song never made it across so most have never heard or seen the great artist/band Jungle, or what they've done. Leave it to Ren to make me aware of them, now I can't get enough.

“Back on 74” is a song by the modern UK electronic funk group named Jungle & it was released about 6 months ago, went viral on tic tok & was just performed at the last Grammy Awards. The rap in between was an Original by Ren & “Message in a Bottle” is of course a song by The Police/Sting.✌.

It's OK if it wasn't your vibe ladies; it really is. Just be honest. It was easy to tell you weren't that into it. You have to remember that Ren is always gonna hit you with something different than before. I dug it myself.

This is Ren's newest song and Ren is showing that he is more than just a rapper with it. It has a little of his street busking vibe to it and the most powerful and truthful line in it was the "power makes money and money makes war" line. I thought y'all might like it because it was Ren, it was his new song, and it was different for Ren. I think I might have been wrong. 🤔😂😂 Puff puff pass 🙌✌️

I got a different impression the lady to my right as I watched, was grooving to it . The other two ladies looked like they were confused. I thought this was going to be something else. What is this? Is what they seemed to be thinking to me.
When the song finished they were saying unenthusiastically; yea I liked it but they seemed rather underwhelmed.
