Hi Mark, I just picked up the whites tdi beach hunter. It's the first PI detector I've ever owned. I hunt the beach very rarely, perhaps 12 times a year. My CTX does okay but I get quite a bit of interference no matter what I do or how often I mess with it. Bottom line your videos are helpful. Thanks for the info. Big Mex wishes you luck and success with your detecting experience.
Very Informative Video for me, Thank You. I've been digging nail after nail after fence wire. This is exactly what I needed to help eliminate those annoying little hard to find fence wires and nails.
Thanks for the really good video. You are correct about the power of a PI in the right hands. I am guessing that you are being a little modest when you say that your not an expert as you obviously know what your doing.
The TDI SL is claimed to have a rock steady threshold, which is why am interested in it, but your video seems to demonstrate the opposite with a lot of warbling from the machine. What are you thoughts on this? Thanks.
Generally speaking if you set the machine on the ground it can pickup EMI more easily. When I'm sweeping the coil very little wobble is heard. I did have the gain a little high that day. I usually set gain to 6 and never above 7 when I hunt.
Uni, not sure how you are hearing warbling unless it is the target signals - she is running smooth as butter to my ears and i have a TDI SL too and she runs steady as can be - do you have a PI since many other units are choppy [ including the Whites Dual Field ] but try not to be too concerned as it will still pick up the targets as a distinct signal from the Threshold Hum
Reduce Gain to achieve a stable threshold. Setting the Gain on a high setting does not give more depth, just amplifies or increases the target response to be louder for operator to hear at the cost of increasing EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) or enhancing detection of hot-rock (mineral rocks) or pocket of mineralised ground.
i didn't buy my TDI SL to dig junk and coins ; i suppose it can be helpful to recognize these tones but i dig almost everything as i use it for Gold Nuggets and this would have been a great vid if you had included that tone

Thanks for the very informative video. Nice to see honesty in what you have actually discovered yourself and what others have given you.

great video. the tdi defiantly is unique and has its place. thanks for taking the time to make the video. much appreciated
ANY WAY YOU COULD DO A VIDEO WITH ONE OF THE RAZORBACK COILS?
MAYBE ONE OF THEIR MONO COILS?

What is the maximum depth of the whites tdi for Gold nuggets?
@@ryanmathias8892 depends on size of nugget
