A powerful moment. Dick was the first child Bruce let into his life. After losing his parents he was given a family again. And to lose that is devastating. I also like what Selina does here. Treating Bruce with tenderness and kindness. And giving him a shoulder.

No it's not for so long bruce tried to help Damian and genuinely expressed his love but Damian kept pushing Bruce away and insulting him. Even after this incident Damian keeps provoking the issue to get a reaction out of him until Bruce finally reached his limit in the injustice storyline when Damian ends zazz. Bruce states he wants to try and help plus admits he does have questionable methods but as a human being no one should play god or decide to be judge, jury, and executioner to other human beings and species in general because that makes it no better to justify that mentality. So again Damian has done this repeatedly even with Bruce desperately trying to reconcile with his son plus in the videogames Bruce calls out Damian that he treated everyone as equally as possible showing how Damian is creating this problem for himself and not wanting accountability by instigating similar situations.
This is why Selina is perfect for Bruce. She knows when to be supportive for him, when she needs to talk him down or out of something, and when to be a friend. Even as Catwoman, she knows how to fight alongside him and still just be there for support through anything
This was such an emotional moment, especially with Catwomen and batman, cause we all have felt like Bruce in one point in our life.. helpless and angry at ourself. They did an great job with that scene.
It's explained in this scene in the comic that all the villains immediately stop and return to their cells voluntarily upon seeing Batman pick up and carry Nightwing.

Also, Dick had to die or Injustice would never have happened.
