There is a few different performances of them doing this song and they are all great, but i would recommend road to zion performance. And i completely agree he has loads of talent.
I second this! The one you watched here is incredible but the "I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop" one is on another level!! It's found on The Big Push channel.
( it looks like this one is at nighttime probably at the end of the day after a few cocktails 😂😂) the one where he does the Road to Zion... And Dead Prez cover is more pleasing to the ear 😁😁 ( I'll bet the band likes that version better 😂) I loved your reaction tho...you were honest and I appreciate that as I'm sure many others do 😎
Ren... I've not been this excited for an artist in 50 years. Great reaction. I appreciate the class you show by sending people to the original videos. Peace.
Someone else has already mentioned the I shot the sheriff road to zion hip hop version of this song by the big push it will blow you away it's a must to react to
Great reaction. I just found your channel and subscribed. Ren plays multiple instruments, has amazing vocals, is an excellent storyteller, and is quite the philosopher and poet. Check out the trilogy "The Tale of Jenny/Screech/Violet." It is haunting and has an unforeseen conclusion; WATCH THEM IN THE STATED ORDER, as this is the flow of the storyline or just watch “The Tale of Jenny & Screech (Full),” which includes “Violet’s Tale at the end. It is another example of Ren’s genius and a master’s class in storytelling. Ren’s collaborations with Chinchilla (“Chalk Outlines,” “How to Be Me”) are beautiful and showcase his singing voice while addressing mental health. I would watch the official live music videos. "Chalk Outlines" is one of my favorite songs right now. Ren's personal reflections are threaded through many of his songs; "Insomnia," "Depression," “Diazepam," “Penitence,” “Dear God,” “Heretic,” “Dominos,” his "Freckled Angels" album, just to name a few, all deserve a listen. His song "Money Game" (Part I & II) is another recommendation. His performances with Sam Tompkins (“Blind Eyed,” “Earned it /Mans World / Falling,” “Walking on the Moon), Eden Nash (“Humble,” “Ocean”), Bibi (“Crutch,” “Ahiahiaoha”), Molly McKinna (“Penitence”), his former bandmate, Romain Axisa (“French Song”) are all great. Ren's performances as a member of the band "The Big Push" (which unfortunately broke up) are awesome and well worth checking out, both the busking (street performances) and their live recordings. Ren's covers of "I Shot the Sheriff," "Wade in the Water," "An Englishman in New York," the songs "Oh My Woman," “Swan Song,” and so many others are equally impressive and really give you a sample of his vocal ability.
The best version is the one where they’re busking of the street, he's got red suspenders on. It's a mash up so it’s much more musically diverse. Hope you check it out too. The acoustics are better too.❤
Great reaction, but as you've seen, if you go deeper into Ren's catalog he has several versions of several of his songs, and some of the Ren fans get kind of upset if you react to the "wrong" version first, so here's a list I made for a reactor who asked which ones the fans want to see first. Almost all the "wrong" versions are worth a reaction as well, but I understand why people like them in this order. It makes the viewing experience richer. Keep up the great work! 1. THE TALE OF JENNY AND SCREECH (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO) - These MUST be seen in order so the best way to do them is this version of all three which is 13 + minutes. It's best NOT to break these up into 3 video reactions. DO NOT DO THE LIVE VERSION FIRST. 2. CHALK OUTLINES (LIVE) - with the amazing Chinchilla. DO NOT DO THE LYRIC VIDEO FIRST. 3. HOW TO BE ME (LIVE) - with the amazing Chinchilla. DO NOT DO THE LYRIC VIDEO FIRST. 4. MONEY GAME PT. 2 (OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO) - DO NOT DO THE LIVE VERSION FIRST. 5. BLIND EYED FT. ANGRY CAR PARK ATTENDANT - with Sam Tompkins. There are several versions of BLIND EYED. This is the most fun and the only one that Ren made a toy from. 6. I SHOT THE SHERIFF/ROAD TO ZION/HIP-HOP - with the Big Push band. This one has 9+ million views. DO THIS ONE FIRST. 7. 1990S (OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO) - DO NOT DO THE LIVE VERSION FIRST. 8. DOMINOES (OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO) - DO NOT DO THE LIVE VERSION FIRST. 9. Do FRECKLED ANGELS before SUIC!DE and do SUIC!DE before FOR JOE. (*this list was compliled from when other reactors played “wrong” versions and got complaints. While I’ve never seen a complaint about doing these out of order, this would seem the logical way.) -Also, LET REN SONGS RUN UNTIL THE VERY END! Sometimes cool stuff happens after reactors stop even a couple seconds early. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Hope it helps.
Big love dude!! Thank you so much support on this one!! Really appreciate it!
If you're digging Ren's street music; check out 'Ren & Sam Tompkins - Earned it /Mans World / Falling'. You won't be disappointed.

Your reaction made me smile....real big smile.....amazing!
Highly recommended wade in the water - the big push cover. They are such a talented band. Anything the big push did was amazing really

The red suspender version with the mash-up with Zion and HipHop is Sooo Incredible. Everyone needs to see that one!
Great reaction!! Ren is a genius!!!
Agreed!!

Thank you so much I really appreciate you taking the time to watch my reaction and provide me with this great list of videos for Ren!
My pleasure. I've seen hundreds of Ren reactions and yours are dope.@@HatleyHour
Sorry, I did not know you know Bob Marley, Sorry again.
Eric Clapton's version of "I Shot The Sheriff" is one of the best covers out there. Please check it out.
Unfortunately you picked the wrong version of this. It's still good, but the one done on the street with the hip hop and rapping is much better.
Wrong version of I shot the sheriff. Theres a better version he did.
this is not even his best version of it
