As you said in your review video, Canobie Coaster would say: Three, the restraints. Arguably the most hated aspect of Skyrush are those restraints. That is why the coaster has earned the nickname "Thighcrush" over the years. Skyrush has lap bars but unlike most coasters where the lap bar has a broad surface that contours the thighs of riders, Skyrush's lap bars have a narrow bar that contacts the thighs of riders. So instead of spreading the force over a larger area, Skyrush's restraints concentrate the force in a localized area, which isn't helped by the fact the pullout of the first drop absolutely staples riders which can make the intense airtime that follows even more painful. Now do I personally find the restraints on Skyrush painful? No. Are they a bit uncomfortable? Absolutely. They are very tight, but I think the minimalistic restraints...
Canobie Coaster would say: While most coaster enthusiasts praised the ride's relentlessness from day one, many park goers found the coaster to be too intense. For that reason, it's not uncommon to find the queue line pretty empty even in a busy day. What makes Skyrush so intense in such a polarizing ride? There are three reasons. One, its compactness. Two, the forces. Three...
It depends on the anatomy of your legs. Some people like them, some people hate them, and theres no way of telling whether or not they will hurt. Personally they were definitely tighter than most restraints, but far from painful. It was a little harder to notice the airtime with the restraints though, since they constantly put pressure on your thighs.
Visiting from UK for the first time in September. What order should I hit the park in to get round everything? What are the wait times like on a weekday?
Hersheypark is mostly weekends in September, so make sure they're open. If you aren't able to use the preview plan or early entry, the key is to get back to Laff Trakk and Fahrenheit as soon as possible. If you want to ride the hypers early, get to the gate 30-60 minutes before open so you can be on one of the first trains of the day on Candymonium and then get over to Skyrush before heading towards Fahrenheit and Laff Trakk. By the afternoon, the front half should have lighter crowds.
Do you mean August 30? If you want to freely ride Candymonium, Fahrenheit, Comet, and LaffTrak freely throughout the day, the skip the line pass is worth it. If you're strategic, you can avoid it. I never get it at Hershey since the merge points for their older coasters are a decent ways back.
Honestly At Most These Restraints Remind Me Of Mack Lapbars They Start Pretty Loose Then Later During The Ride You Can Get Stapled
Several restraints do that. Macks are another example.

Accentuate the forces.
Can not wait to visit Pennsylvania.
It's a great state for parks.
@@CanobieCoaster the whole collection on paper seems to be #1. Unfortunately some parks are getting a little worn down and no blue streak for 2021.
The lapbars kill it for me cuz I'm a big boi. That being said, gotta love that Stengel Dive.
The lap bars seem to bother people regardless of body size.
@@CanobieCoaster Well that's one thing weight loss cant help with :/

Restraints
Some people have complaints about the restraints on the ride. Are they really that bad?
They're very tight. Some can tolerate it. Others can't. There's no one body type that seems to have and not have issues.

Um, didn't you already review this coaster?
I did, but I had some new footage from the recently reopened pathway underneath the ride. Plus I could rerelease the old footage in 60 FPS.
Wait you’ve done a skyrush review... plot twist?
Maybe a Skyrush re-review is coming out next...

This... it's just too beautiful! :')
Nice user name.

I agree the restraints are tight, but they don't cause me pain.

@@CanobieCoaster thank you for the tips. Looks like we are now going on Monday 30th. Is it worth the fast pass you reckon?

Personally, I'd give it maybe a 2 out of 10 at best. The restraints kill the ride. I can't get past them.
I don't hate them.

Don't bring loose articles onto coasters unless you want 1:47 to happen.
The airtime is no joke.
