Special shutout to Cody's Lab for trying to demonstrate how to refine Uranium before the gum'ment decided that was a bad idea.
FBI OPEN UP
Guy needs more respect for going through a mental breakdown and then coming back super strong.
Also showing how to make gunpowder out of your own piss
He also made nitroglycerine, smacked it with a knife to set it off, blew off part of his finger, and then acted like it wasn't a big deal he had just lost a bit of his finger on camera. The madlad STILL uploaded it to RUclips.
@@xXRedTheDragonXx He also did a video where he ingested -the maximum- a tiny dose of cyanide. Wouldn't be me, I tell ya.
Styropyro is a genius tho, no joke, the smartest guy on youtube. He takes safety very seriously and is always very smart about how to do dangerous things safely. He plays it causally for entertainment, but I'd feel extremely safe in his lab of deadly lazers than being in a basic undergrad o-chem lab.
Besides Styropyro has mentioned another electronics RUclipsr "that actually scares me" and if there's someone that scares him I'm staying away. There was also that one Electroboom video where his Jacob's Ladder accidentally falls on him and would have potentially killed him if not for his hasty soldering.
@@jamesalexander5559 yeah….electro boom is lucky to be alive. He came out after the fact in a video where he addressed how absolutely stupid he was when handling that experiment. Like…at least he owned up to it 100%.
I'd say ruclips.net/user/StuffMadeHere is probably the smartest DIY youtuber Ive seen.
@@jamesalexander5559 was it photonic induction?
@@chiquilio I don't remember, I also don't remember which video he says it in. All I remember is it featured his Tesla Coil.
I love listening to Adam Savage talk about the mythbusters days. In the "Am I missing an eyebrow?" episode they were testing if a cell phone could set off a fire at a gas station. They were testing fuel air mixtures in a taped together plexiglass box when it blew apart. Burned all his hair off. The cement truck was one of their famous scale ups. The original test was if a stick of dynamite could clear all the cement from a cement truck...it couldnt scratch it. So they scaled up, and detonated it with something like 500 pounds of high explosives, basically what we used to sink battleships with. He said the main reason they got to do all those explosions was because all the local bomb squads were super into it. The bomb squads apparently dont often get to practice their craft. They also thrive on seeing new explosives or ways bombs behave because the stuff they have to deal with is super unpredictable so every unique thing they see in practice helps their real job. So every time the mythbusters showed up with a new explosion to test or set off or a new object to destroy they jumped at the opportunity to help.
Shiey is really high up on the list imo.
I love his videos, but that man does some INSANE stuff. Scaling and descending buildings legally and illegally with no real equipment, train surfing all over Europe, Sleeping in the wilderness with little to no protection, and just treating life like it's Breath of the Wild in general.
Great videos but I'm always assuming he's been arrested, injured, or killed when he doesn't upload for months on end.
Holy shit, absolutely this. I love Shiey’s videos, but you couldn’t pay me to do any of the shit he does. He’s been caught by guards at military facilities more than a handful of times, jumped off tons of moving trains, climbed to the top of a giant quarry excavator submerged in a lake, lived in Chernobyl for a few days while dodging police, ect. He even had a vid where police were waiting for him at a train station he was arriving at while surfing, and he proceeded to run through the town, up a wooded mountain, and eventually escaped.
His videos are always so chill, perfect to put one up after a hard day's work. But a moment of thinking about it got me horrified.
yeah n check out dyingllama
His music is pretty good as well!
@@omgdontstealvids123 And the most bonkers thing about it is that he absolutely would not have it any other way. Guy is out to live fast and loud. He's a lot better than many of the crazy explorer guys though because he absolutely refuses to break anything to do what he does, he removes anything that would reveal the places he's been or the people he's with, and he doesn't glamorize the danger. He does it because he wants to do it, not to be seen doing it. He's also got some normal stuff where he just goes hiking and biking in slightly remote places.
10:10 I think Connor's talking about Kentucky ballistics .50 caliber explosion, but I think he's also remembering whistling diesels ricochet that hit him in the face.
yeah he is, but hes mixing up the details since its been a while from when that happened... to be fair, scot did also have part of the gun slam into his face and break his orbital and nose...
For any curious readers, this is probably the video referenced: ruclips.net/video/1449kJKxlMQ/видео.html

I think ElectroBoom's failed Jacob Ladder was the most dangerous one ive seen. One more mistake and that spelt death...
No joke, he was so lucky his connections came undone. Or he would've been toast
@@herowesley1804 I haven’t seen the video but isn’t he an expert or something? Pretending to mess up or accidentally hurting himself is his gig right?
@@hx5525 usually yes but that one was a genuine mistake
@@hx5525 He is, but the Jacobs Ladder tipped over and fell on him, wasn't planned
Most of his projects man, I dont know how he does it. Even his bones are still intact which is surprising how much he hits his hands on random things
I watch a bit of today's gun channels, and they are for the most part really tame. The guy who blew is face of happened to be an absolutely insanely unlikely event, and he was unable to even replicate the event without basically rigging the gun to explode. The ammo that he had bought had been tampered with to the point it practically became a bomb.
For actual insanely dangerous channels, where I fully expect the owners to just disappear and stop uploading one day, there's the freedom of movement ones. Like Shiey's "illegal freedom", where he spends the time jumping onto moving trains, climbing tall buildings and structures (Some of it very old, and very rusty), hiking into Chernobyl, exploring abandoned and dilapidated buildings, etc. All illegal, and all watchable on RUclips. It's very enjoyable to watch, but at the same time I completely expect this dude to never make it past the age of 30
Alexander Kupnyii is the best example of a channel whose owner did some of the most insane stuff aka sneaking into the Chernobyl reactor plant and then literally going upto the Elephant's foot literally decades ago so when the radiation was much more intense and the dude is still fine and uploads videos regularly
In fact some of the best documented videos from inside the destroyed plant as well as Elephant's foot comes from Alexander Kupnyii and his friend's adventure into the reactor. However it was only possible as he's actually quite an expert in his field
A note - Kentucky Ballistics wasn't using tampered with ammo. He bought ammunition known for being extremely dodgy, and then put it into a firearm that simply was not intended to shoot it. With that kind of decision making process, this was almost an inevitable event.
@@capthowitzer it was almost certainly tampered. He has videos later where he goes through the rest of the ammo, and tries to kill another one of the same rifle in the same way. It doesn't even come remotely close.. until he tampers with it himself. There's no way a regular slap round should be able to do what happened to him
@@Excludos It wasn't a regular SLAP round. It was a reloaded SLAP round. And most everybody knows that when you buy SLAP ammunition, odds are it's reloaded and probably not reloaded well, or its counterfeit. These rounds have a really bad reputation for wildly varying in the loadings used, and also a reputation for extremely hot loads that are known to blow up guns. And SLAP ammunition was never intended to be fired from a rifle like that in the first place - this whole situation was a result of his irresponsibility, not just 'bad luck.'
@@capthowitzer Never used the words "bad luck", that's your strawman right there. What you're describing is also exactly the definition of the word "tampered", so I'm not sure why you're trying to disagree by saying the same thing in a slightly different way
The most dangerous was a channel called JogWheel and they had a series I watched wayyyyy back in the day, over 10 years ago, called "Is it A Good Idea to Microwave This?" The videos are still up.
That series is great
holy shit that brings back memories
tbis is the first mention I’ve seen of this in years. truly the OG dumb shit channel. miss it
HI IM YOUR HOST JORY CARON AND HERE WE HIDE BEHIND THIS ALUMINUM SHIELD BECAUSE NOBODY LIKES ROASTED NUTS
Nobody likes roasted nuts.
"FPS Russia" Couldn't exist exactly today, but there's still plenty of gun content on RUclips. The Kentuky Ballistics incident which I believe you were trying to talk about, where a Serbu .50 cal (single shot .50 cal rife) was loaded with a custom load slap round that was over pressured and blew the back out of the gun essentially into the Guy. Not very graphic and he survived but it's incredibly scary. As well as people like Garand Thumb and Demolition Ranch still doing the normal gun porn content with a bit of tip toeing around the gun terminology to not get too ruined by demonetization
I think there's two kinds of dangerous channels. There's the ones they talked about, the guys clearly doing dangerous stuff that endagers themselves and maybe others around them, where everyone agrees they're dangerous and/or stupid. And then there's the channels pretending to be safe and getting people to reproduce hacks and challenges and stuff which actually can kill people, often children.
If you noticed Will get a little uncomfortable when talking about the IDAT video, it's because the gun guy they were collaborating with, Brandon Herrera, had provided them with his range, his guns, his ammo, and his high level of specialized skills to make the whole thing safe and legal (as they would likely have accidentally made an illegal machine gun without his express guidance), and then IDAT used the video to shit all over him and his views
I don't think Will necessarily had anything to do with it, but he definitely at least knows about it, which is why he may have seemed uncomfortable.
The Mythbusters cannonball incident was one of their later episodes, using a homemade cannon. They missed both the water barrel targets, and bounced off and over a hillside used as a berm, sending it completely through one house, bouncing off the roof of another, and smashed into a vehicle which finally stopped it. Nobody was hurt, they settled with the property owners, and started doing their tests a bit further away from the city. They weren't expecting it to travel a whole half a mile or so beyond their barriers.
The cement truck incident was about a myth that you can use dynamite to clear dried cement out of the back of a cement truck, instead of spending weeks with a jackhammer. Due to a mishap, the truck ended up nearly full of dried concrete instead of a thinner layer, and Adam petitioned the producers to try and save the stunt purely for the boom factor, turning the cement truck into one of the world's largest to date pipe bombs.....which some stars from the show have admitted was really more about the boom than the myth.....
From what I recall, the blowing up of the cement truck was because there was a myth that you could get the cement that had hardened inside of it out by using explosives.
The guy who lend the guns for the robot dog video is called Brandon Herrera.
He's a massive Kalashnikov nerd and is building his own AK chambered in .50 BMG.
(Yes, he has a license to do that)
Also I feel like Osman tried really hard not to mention his name which is understandable given how him and I Did A Thing treated Brandon.
What happened between them and him?
@@____-pb1lg apparently they relied on Herrera for the guns and for his range, then disrespected him and didn't give him any shout outs and put a bunch of anti-2A shit in the videos without telling him.
That's the level of honesty and respect you get when dealing with a communist I guess
I always think of ElectroBOOM but he looks like has everything in control so idk.
Nah he doesn’t play with THAT crazy stuff. And he knows what he’s doing and plays it up for the camera.
Shiey. It's a miracle every time he uploads to know he's not dead or in jail lol
12:46 oh Garnt and Connor are in sync!!
Gun fact: The mini gun/Gatling gun is not by definition a machine gun it’s just 6 bolt action rifles put together so you don’t actually need machine gun license to buy it but you do need a lot of money to use it ammo alone it costs $80 a second because of how fast it fires
Yup it’s 6 individual triggers, “hammers” and barrels, still expensive as fuck though
Also, bulky as hell by the very nature of basically being 6 guns strapped together.
Wait, are you talking about a minigun or a Gatling gun? Cos those are both very different from each other.
@@johnb3587 miniguns are electrically fired via solenoids, which still makes them machine guns because each firing cycle doesn't rely on an individual pull of the trigger.
@@shockwavecity you never know, with the us tho the gun laws are retarded

There's an amazing very old video of a guy trying out a "parachute" design by jumping off of the Eiffel Tower, it didn''t work. You see him jump, fall, and a little puff of dust when he hits the ground.
Gotta be honest watching MrGreen's (formerly know as NileGreen's) sodium video genuinely made me fear for his safety not because of the chemistry but because of the way he used power tools
Talking about Kentucky Ballistics with the 50. Cal
wow they're talkin abt kentucky ballistic
Didn't expect Osman to start talking about Bald and Bankrupt. Definitely one of the best people on RUclips
He's pretty shitty behind the scenes. Upsetting to find out, but yeah. Used to be a huge fan and watched a lot of his content, but after the proof of his sex tourism came out, I can't support him anymore.
I am instantly reminded of the channel woth the guys who sneak into chernobyl and go swimming in irradiated water near the power plant
Edit: Oh lmao it's the same guys he talked about. Glad to see we've seen that same shit
I watched Kreosan make home scuba diving equipment out of fish bowls and duct tape and dove in the flooded parts of the basement. That's probably the most insane thing I've ever seen in my life. They act like it's no big deal even though the entire city was evacuated, and nobody can live there again for 20,000 years and they dove in that water in home made gear lol.
12:55 why does he look so sad

@@MrCommanderPyro deletion of good content for no practical reason whatsoever.
anyone who paid proper attention in chemistry can likely infer the process for production of nitroglycerin.
The Ford Pinto issue was basically what you said BUT the main issue was the location of the fuel tank combined with poor structural integrity... So. Get rear ended. It was likely your vehicle would catch fire AND you would be stuck inside, and unable to open the doors.
