They're not ruining Mr Miyagi. Even if he did something bad in his twenties, even if he was wild back then, all that matters is the person he eventually became. No one is perfect and people change. It would be weird if Miyagi was this old, wise and kind man for all of his life.
15:20 - Kesuke was how Mr. Miyagi was introduced in The Next Karate Kid....🤔 So, we could be 1 step closer to the return of Julie Pierce!🤗 They're taking the long-form set-up in bringing her back if they do. 21:57 - Dude's Pop-Pop could be Julie's grandfather😮
I think the Miyagi stuff ties back to Julie Pierce grandfather. Miyagi mentioned that he was close with her grandfather in The Next Karate Kid movie. In the movie they explained that Julie's grandfather saved Miyagi's life during the war and in return Miyagi taught him Karate. Also in that movie Julie's family referred to him as "Keisuke Miyagi" not Nariyoshi Miyagi. So the guy who runs that boxing gym must be related to Julie
Here is what i think happened . The man Miyagi assaulted was a guard at the interment camp Miyagi's late pregnant wife was placed at. He was probably cruel and stole her necklace. His wife died in that camp. Miyagi attacked him to get necklace back and competed in the Sekai Taikai
I thought about that, I mean that the guy he jumped maybe stole his wife's necklace and must have known Mr. Miyagi and took revenge by reporting him to the police.
I think he would have laughed for a good 20 minutes straight, and another 3-5 minutes every time he ever thought about it again. Time for some Karate Kid heresy: I think Daniel over-venerates Miyagi. While he's admitted that Johnny's teaching have helped make the kids more well-rounded and better at karate, he still tends to go apeshit whenever he sees Johnny teaching them in a non-Miyagi way. He seems to value pushing Miyagi's style of teaching karate far more than he values actually advancing his students.
Also the guy who beat up a group of 16 year olds, made his first student clean his house and cars and then got drunk and started talking about how he killed germans during the war. I honestly think he would've gotten along great with Johnny 😂
Sam and Tory were walking on egg shells and didn't know how to act and react to each other. Once they had that talk, they both got closure because they apologized and took accountability for their roles in their feud. Once that was aired out, they became friends and could easily fight with intensity since they have trust in each other.
With regard to the Miyagi news clipping, the best fan theory that I have heard so far is that the man he attacked worked at the Japanese internment camp where his wife was kept and eventually died, and the man had taken a necklace off of her (possibly after being directly involved in her death) that Miyagi had given her, so he tracked the man down and attacked him to get it back, and then fled the country afterward. Thus making Miyagi's actions still not excusable, but somewhat understandable
@kristopherheenk2710 here is another fan theory . What if Miyagi was the one who started the way of the fist? What if he and Kim Sum Yun fought in the Sekai Taikai. Miyagi was ruthless in the tournamentwhilee still grieving the loos of his wife and son. This could be what led to Kim embracing the No Mercy philosophy.
@@Raytmoney - I've heard that they're going to use Miyagi's appearance in the Sekai Taikai as their way of backdoor retconning the Jaden Smith movies into the same universe, by having it have been in China (hence the coin Chozen found) and that being where Miyagi met Jackie Chan's character ...which in turn will lead to Ralph Macchio's already revealed appearance in the sequel movie.
I'm OK with Miyagi potentially having something shady in his past. Yes, he's one of the most inspirational fictional characters in history. But what's more inspirational? A perfect character who never does anything wrong, who always has all of the right answers, and always makes the right decisions? Or a character who sometimes makes mistakes, learns from those mistakes, and grows as a person because of them? I would argue the latter. I don't think Daniel was letting go of Mr. Miyagi's legacy. He wanted to keep it 50/50 in their styles of training with Johnny's offense and his defense. He was just willing to let go of the name, just to make peace between Johnny and Chozen and avoid any more friction so it won't affect the kids. As for Mr. Miyagi's secret, I think there is more to the story that will be later revealed. I agree about Sam and Tory.
I'm both excited and terrified about finding out about Mr. Miyagi past. I'm assuming that we are going to find out Mr Miyagi wasn't perfect so they can come full circle with how they started Johnny Lawrence in this series having a lot of similarities with Mr. Miyagi. That will probably help Johnny and Daniel become real friends for good.

The thing about Johnny is that he has always been an asshole. That doesn't mean he's a bad person. Even in the first movie he congratulated Daniel. He's such a tool trying to get Sam and Tory to fight, but his intention is sound. It makes him infuriating but kinda lovable.
I know it's hard learning about Mr miyagi past but you have to keep it real & reality most of us have sinned to some degree when we were were young so it's is realistic to think miyagi has a sordid past & understandable him not telling Daniel about it. Also good for his story & background. By the way most of these students are no longer kids. Been 2.5 years in cobra kai time meaning they are 18 now so all adults. Good reaction.
Keisuke Miyagi was in "The Next Karate Kid" at the military ceremony and wore the medal of honor from the first movie (it was assumed that is was the same man). That breaks the lore. And because the writers got the birthdate of Miyagi on the gravestone wrong (they admitted that fact) so the chest is both fixing what's wrong, but it also makes it strange. Miyagi's brother? who knows... Have I told you how much I enjoy your reactions?😀 "Kwon" is American, saying that, the "new" Cobra Kai, are all professional martial artists and stunts.
Johnny's gonna find out the hard way that girls aren't as easy as he thinks. I pretty much idolize the guy as a sensei, but he's totally wrong about that. I like how Sam and Tory trust Miguel and Robby enough to know that they wouldn't talk like that, and immediately knew it was Johnny texting them. 🤣 I think there's a lot of context to the Mr. Miyagi story that we don't know yet, and we will probably find out about it in Parts 2 & 3. Kwon's got ability that is going to dominate every opponent he faces.
I like the theory that Miyagi's path actually follows Johnny and not Daniel. He had it hard when he was young and wasn't respectful and had a hard journey to get where he was, much like Johnny. Daniel is the person who is trying so hard to live up to Miyagi, but the guy who actually followed Miyagi's path was the guy next to him, Johnny. Johnny is the one that struggled with money and lived a simple life where Daniel flourished, and Miyagi also lived a simple life. I would find that an interesting revelation and conclusion to the show is for Daniel to finally realize that, and see Miyagi as he truly is, not the way he put him up on the pedestal, and that Johnny is the ultimate successor to Miyagi.
Yes and no. Daniels life wasn’t a walk in the park either, his father died when he was young, raised by his single mother, had to move to an unknown city, was bullied and found it hard to fit in. Though he was short tempered, made rash decisions Then he met Miyagi and he found purpose and balance. Johnny and Daniel are actually very similar. Johnnys real father also died or walked out of his life at a young age, he was a scrawny kid living with his nasty step dad that never loved him. He found purpose in cobra Kai not knowing it’s dark influence and darker roots. So I agree to disagree because Johnny and Daniel have actually a lot of parallels. With Miyagi I agree, I bet he was a bit rebellious as a teenager and or young adult, did some things he’s not proud of, nobody’s perfect after all and he changed his life around with his fathers karate. Daniel will learn more about his past and he will have to work it out and come to a place of acceptance and understanding with it. I bet him and Johnny will talk it out as well, but they still may go their separate ways. I don’t think Johnny will ever fully fit in with Miyagi-do but he will ultimately respect it, besides he has his own dojo/karate in eagle fang which is more his style. It wouldn’t make sense for him to take over Miyagi-do. That’s Daniels legacy, his life and it should stay that way.
This guy Kwon is a total bastard. He's played by real martial artist named Brandon H. Lee. That makes 3 Brandon Lees I'm aware of -- THE CROW, Tommy Lee's son, now this guy. Crazy, eh?? Anyways, he flips around and quick like ninja. We'll see how the Miyagi-Fangs stand against him but... idk... I predict him doing some serious damage on them.
Realistically, the whole dojo was NEVER going, not unless the tournament is inside the US border. International travel is not cheap and even Johnny and Chozen don't have a lot of spare cash. It was always going to be a select team.
Here's My theory on Mr Miyagi past is that I don't believe he committed robbery but I do believe he did assaulted someone and I'm guessing he assaulted the person who was attempting to commit a robbery and the police probably mistaken Miyagi for the robber. But if it is true and he did commit both of those crimes in a way it kinda makes sense because he lost his wife and unborn son while he was in the army. So if Mr Miyagi did commit those crimes it was because he was in a dark place after the lost of his wife and son. My other theory is Mr Miyagi became the man that Daniel knew , loved & respected while he fled to another country and I'm guessing he ended up in China judging by the Chinese coin that was in Miyagi box & while he was in China he completed his lesson on his family karate considering that Miyagi do karate came from China. Not only did Miyagi completed his training in China but being in China also helped Miyagi to find himself and to become the man that Daniel & his family knew and loved. Thats my theory
I think Daniel at least knows about Julie. If the Sekai Tekai is his karate swan song, Chozen is apparently headed back to Okinawa, and then there's something Johnny says later in episode 5 (that I won't say just in case you're not there yet)...what if Daniel leaves Miyagi-Do to Julie?
I kinda think Julie already has Miyagi-Do up and running in Boston and when she see them in the world stage sends Daniel a cease and desist. Then we get Julie and Daniel talking about Mr Miyagi and carrying on his legacy
@@funnylilgalreactsapparently the creators confirmed that Daniel and Julie do know each other from Miyagi’s funeral so now the only thing is how they bring her in if they luckily do
Kinda late at this but my.belief is kim is myagis brother or something his fighting style a episode earlier matches mr miyagis from.karate.kid 4 and hus philosophy is somewhat similar too my belief is mr.miyagi back the was different and framed kim so he had to leabe to go to okinawa and as honor was a big thing he prob had to leave that to korea and chsnge his name
This isn't spoilers (theory) so my belief is they fought in the sekai takai where kim.showed mercy and lost while miyagi didn't so kim went back with no honor and had to leave okinawa to korea and changed his name and started cobra kai making the title even better as if cobra kai dies it still will live like a snake shattering its skin 2 sides of the same coin cobra kai is miyagi do
is not a church it's a basilica, and it's ugly ?depends on the person, I think is nice, it has great symbolism since is supposed to be an ode to nature and gods creation since the inside of the basilica is supposed to look as a forest, since columns have the shape of trees and at it's time it was very futuristic so much so, that people called Gaudi crazy, and that is one of the reasons it's not finished, because it's architecture is so bizarre and modern, that modern architects have a hard time making it like Gaudí wanted, and you have a old structure that looks old with a new one, so it doesn't match. Gaudí was a strange guy he got so obsessed with the basilica he stop wearing nice clothes going to the Opera etc, so when he was runned over by a trolley car no one recognized him and lthough he was a beggar and no one helped him, until the police saw him, he died three days later anyway as you can see I'm from Barcelona 😂 I don't really think the sagrada familia is pretty but I like all the symbolism behind it, and all the crazy shapes he managed to build so long ago, it was too modern for his time let's hope they finish it soon.
I'm still on the pre-reaction talk of this video, and a thought popped in my head...i'm concerned with how this episode will affect you. bout to find out.
I think that Miyagi did some bad acts and why he hid it in the box instead destroying evidence is becasue he wants Daniel to find it that might be another leson that Miyagi wants to teach Daniel
Johnny hasn’t been this irritating since season 4. However, I did like that Tory finally owned up to her sins. Sam isn’t perfect either, but at least she never really wanted to kill anyone. In my headcanon, Tory ratted out Johnny to his son. Assuming that happened, I would’ve loved to have seen Robby give him an earful.

@@funnylilgalreactsapparently the creators confirmed that Daniel and Julie do know each other from Miyagi’s funeral so now the only thing is how they bring her in if they luckily do
@@funnylilgalreacts ooo that's interesting
@@funnylilgalreacts "Cease and desist"
So... a Miyagi-Don't?
Kinda late at this but my.belief is kim is myagis brother or something his fighting style a episode earlier matches mr miyagis from.karate.kid 4 and hus philosophy is somewhat similar too my belief is mr.miyagi back the was different and framed kim so he had to leabe to go to okinawa and as honor was a big thing he prob had to leave that to korea and chsnge his name
This isn't spoilers (theory) so my belief is they fought in the sekai takai where kim.showed mercy and lost while miyagi didn't so kim went back with no honor and had to leave okinawa to korea and changed his name and started cobra kai making the title even better as if cobra kai dies it still will live like a snake shattering its skin 2 sides of the same coin cobra kai is miyagi do
I can't find the reactions to the earlier seasons I don't remember seeing them at all TBH?
I just checked again season 4 is the earliest I could find.
I don't think she was reacting to things before then? I myself found her channel through Cobra Kai season 4 reactions, I think.
Imagine spending 300 years building a church just for it to turn out hideous 😂
RIGHT?!
is not a church it's a basilica, and it's ugly ?depends on the person, I think is nice, it has great symbolism since is supposed to be an ode to nature and gods creation since the inside of the basilica is supposed to look as a forest, since columns have the shape of trees and at it's time it was very futuristic so much so, that people called Gaudi crazy, and that is one of the reasons it's not finished, because it's architecture is so bizarre and modern, that modern architects have a hard time making it like Gaudí wanted, and you have a old structure that looks old with a new one, so it doesn't match.
Gaudí was a strange guy he got so obsessed with the basilica he stop wearing nice clothes going to the Opera etc, so when he was runned over by a trolley car no one recognized him and lthough he was a beggar and no one helped him, until the police saw him, he died three days later
anyway as you can see I'm from Barcelona 😂
I don't really think the sagrada familia is pretty but I like all the symbolism behind it, and all the crazy shapes he managed to build so long ago, it was too modern for his time
let's hope they finish it soon.
I'm sure the Miyagi thing is going to end up being something good that doesn't disparage how we know and love him. Most likely a mistake.
The grandfather is Kim Jong-un and the granddaughter is Kim Dae-un
Kim Da Eun and Kim Sun Yung. Kim Jong Un is the leader of North Korea
Kim Sun Yung is the grandfather
25:34 Task failed successfully.
I was also in Barcelona recently. really wanted to meet you and admire you because I like you and your channel. much love to you :)
Kreese can definitely beat kwon easily dude destroyed 5 armed prisoners last season
There's got to be more to the Miyagi story.

I think the extra “Johnnyness” is him being rattled about having a daughter, but doesn’t know how to express it.
You must be one with the straw, focus grasshopper.
Better to have the tampons and not need them
It's kinda sad that your half Japanese and have a hard time saying sekai taikai
Quarter Japanese
I have female coworker who's like that just really lazy like the easy way out
That is..not what I said.
