    • @ollierobertson-kurd
      @ollierobertson-kurd  5 месяцев назад +1

      younger people are recommended to do shorter distances. Firstly, it teaches you good form which is important to know early as it sets you up well. Secondly, longer distances put great strain on the body which isn't great for someone who is still developing. The biological peak for longer distances is much later. I think it's 35 for the marathon and for ultras, could be even older

      The steps are longer when you increase the speed, not the opposite
      I mean, look at the length, he increases it when he goes faster, a common rookie mistake is to try to increase the length of your strides to go faster, so you end up running like 140 strides per minute when you should aim for around 180 (I committed this mistake myself😂)
      No I always try to go around 180, still I only can maintain 2:10 pace for 200m haha

    • @ollierobertson-kurd
      @ollierobertson-kurd  10 месяцев назад

      Speed is your stride length x cadence. When im sprinting my cadence is like 200 and my strides are pretty long. My stride length jogging is like under 160😬

    The FitnessGram™ Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly, but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal. [beep] A single lap should be completed each time you hear this sound. [ding] Remember to run in a straight line, and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark, get ready, start.
