The ref seemingly never signals points for your knee on belly any of the times you went to it and also doesn't seem to award sweep points. Just another good reason to always look for the finish I guess.

Another factor you didn't have was the solid stand-up wrestling hand fights/clinches and clamps. As you already know, good grapplers are hard to grapple even standing up. When I grapple with a blue belt, I make hell come alive with a nightmarish stand-up grappling they'll never forget. I've got that from my few years of free and greco roman wrestling.
