The Mankiala Stupa is a 2nd-century Buddhist stupa near the village of Tope Mankiala, in Pakistan's Punjab province. The stupa was built to commemorate the spot, where according to the Jataka tales, an incarnation of the Buddha called Prince Sattva sacrificed himself to feed seven hungry tiger cubs.
stupa is located in the village of Tope Mankiala, near the place name of Sagri and 2nd near village of Sahib Dhamyal. It is 36 km southeast of Islamabad, and near the city of Rawalpindi. It is visible from the nearby historic Rawat Fort.
The stupa was built to commemorate the spot, where according to the Jataka tales, the Golden Light Sutra and popular belief, Prince Sattva, an earlier incarnation of the Buddha, sacrificed some of his body parts or his entire body to feed seven hungry tiger cubs.
The stupa is said to have been built during the reign of Kanishka between 128 and 151 CE. An alternate theory suggest that the stupa is one of 84 such buildings, built during the reign of Mauryan emperor Ashoka to house the ashes of the Buddha.
The stupa was discovered by Mountstuart Elphinstone, the first British emissary to Afghanistan, in 1808 - a detailed account of which is in his memoir 'Kingdom of Caubul' (1815). The stupa contains an engraving which indicates that the stupa was restored in 1891.
Mankiala stupa's relic deposits were discovered by Jean-Baptiste Ventura in 1830. The relics were then removed from the site during the British Raj, and are now housed in the British Museum.

Gilani Saheb, your vlogs are really most interesting. Enjoyed your video on Buddha's stupa. However, I very humbly request to allow me, an ordinary but ardent student of history, to add a few missing bits and pieces to the historical account of Buddha's life and background you have presented so interestingly. Buddha, was the son of the Raja of the Himalayan kingdom Nepal. He was born in BC 563 and his name was suggested by the wise royal jyotshi Acharya Vivabhadra ( astrologer and senior most advisor of the king) according to the astrological indications for him. His parents accordingly named him 'Sid dhar tha' ( derived from 'Sidh Artha' , which in Pali language meant "with wisdom and knowledge of truth" ). His birth place was Kapilvastu, the then capital of Nepal. The title of "Buddha" was given to him by his followers, called " teerthankaras" to mean ' the one who has 'buddhi ( knowledge and wisdom of divinity) and has gained insight into the truth of the supreme Creator's design for the universe and it's mysteries).
He was married at the age of 15 to Princess Yashodhra and at 17 he had a son Rahul. An interesting legend says that a visiting 'sant' ( a holy sadhu ) had on seeing the two year old Siddhartha Gautam, had prophesied that the child would grow up to become a great warrior king and spread his kingdom to the coast of the mahasagar in the south, but only if he did not see 4 signs. They were:: a hungry beggar, a sick man, an old person bent with age and a dead man being carried to his funeral pyre. In either case, he had said that his name would be revered and worshipped for all times to come. Unfortunately, by the age of 21, he witnessed all the four signs despite the king's best efforts, and he left the palace in search of the true meaning of life, the world, etc, and eventually became Buddha.
The Stupas were built far and wide across his realm by Ashoka the Great who converted to Buddhism at the end of the great battle of Kalinga. The Stupas were built to preserve manuscripts of Buddha's teachings and his relics that were available. Thank you. Hope this will interest you.

Rawat is famous Bus Stop situated on Lahore Rawalpindi road. Rawat has its Historical significance because that were been created by “Sheir Shah Suri” and “Ibrahim Lodhi” because of “Gernaili Serek” which were called as “GT Road” and there is A small “Inning Fort” which were build for “Inn purpose” either by “Ibrahim Lodhi” Or by “Shair Shah Suri” but we are confident to say that certainly that was “Ibrahim Lodhi” because “Sheir Shah” suri don’t has resources to create such a long traveling road from Kabel to “Dehli”. Mankiala is not "Stupa" it is Manoment of "Russian" Tomb Structure. There are different types of "Tomb Roofs" but that round type "Tomb structure" were been found by "Russians".
