The 6 week program is what got me into weightlifting in highschool. This 8 week program might be what gets me back into the gym in general after the pandemic brought an end to that journey. Love to see it!
Lmao Candito has literally been providing free resources and programs for over a decade. He can charge $10-$20 for a well thought-out program based on his experience.
i would even pay $50 for this program. Candito has been putting out great free programs and informative content for years. If you don't like it don't buy it. Lots of people here are actually looking forward to getting the programs. What's wrong with sales btw. People need to make a living too
Ran my first 6 week program 10 years ago, and ended up cycling it many times after that pushing my maxes considerably each time. Volume in the first couple of weeks is challenging but it's a great program; that and the linear program is the best concert of routines possible imo. Even bought a t-shirt that I quickly outgrew... you're running quite the business model. Life took over the last several years but I'm really eager to get my numbers back up. You've always been one of the good ones Jonnie
I'll run your 6w + Adv. Bench first, let you figure out the remaining weeks of this program. The price point is good, but i can't afford rn (i'm from Brazil), but i hope that i'll be able to do so in the future. Specially because of the homegym equipment that you've cited there, which is why i LOVED the 6w Program. The fact that i could run the program with equipment that i had in my garage was simply amazing.
This seems like a really good value with the options and it feels like a candito eras tour where we can pick a style of training from different parts of Jonnie's IPF career. I'm honesltly really impressed and hyped to see channels running and reviewing these. When my injury heals imma give you 20 sir.
Just make a sheet man. This is silly. Hard to navigate at the gym, hard to see what you have ahead at a glance, hard to have my lifting partners doing the same thing as me. Driving me to find it elsewhere when I have no issues paying for it.
I hit lifetime PRs* on my three lifts (S:200kg/B:145kg/D:222kg) running the 6-week intermediate program 2 times and can't wait to see where this 8-week program will lead me.
I'm currently doing the 9 Weeks Squat program.... I'm feeling demolished and great at the same time, but I managed to squat 345 for 3 sets of three reps last week. And I squatted 315 for a single for the first time in my life on the last week of November of 2022.
Currently running the intro phase and on w4, and so far I've been enjoying it. The only thing I couldn't adhere to were the scheduled training days due to my work schedule. I'm excited to see where it goes since Candito's 6 week program was one of the first I've truly adhered to back when I started powerlifting years ago. I will say I'm not quite sure what is meant in the video about a 4 hr q&a since all I've noticed this far is a general "how are you feeling/ feedback" portion.
Tbh I couldn't get myself to subscribe to a monthly thing because Candito has a track record of disappearing and not following through after announcing plans
Candito 6 week got me up and over 2/3/4 plate B/S/D, so I'm super interested. Been focusing on hypertrophy more than strength recently but may need to check this out!
Looking forward to the program! I’ll have to hold off til later this year for dedicating time to the lifts But I don’t mind paying the $20. I’ve always progressed on your programs before and I have no doubt this will be well worth the money!
I’ve been lifting for 12 years and I honestly understood so little of what you’re talking about. Like I trust your expertise but I wish I could follow as to the reason the program is set up the way it is. Why 8 weeks then 5 weeks?
I have an injured foot and thought about how you like to train with an injury for recovery and was like damn, candito has been absent for a long time. This was like right as you released the video while I’m mowing my yard with no phone or headphones.
As a complete dumbo how are people using this for comps, I like it but I am also like I have this many weeks for comp and if I do this how do I make it all work?
@saksham4648 as of now I'm be able to add +15kg to my bench and squat and 30kg to my deadlift and improved my technique, because of focusing in technique the improvements was not to drastical but definitely allow me to add more weight to the big 3. Every week is enjoyable in that program. The key for me it's not too extensive as others 12 or 18 weeks programs
Hey i bought your program and I'm really excited to try it out. The only issue I'm having is that a few of the terms are confusing to me. Some of which were listed in the frequently asked questions but some were not. Is there a community of people on the program I could speak to? Like a discord or something?
I been using the 6 week program one and off since I first saw it back in 2015? Or possible before? I will def look into the new stuff! I usually do a shorter version though, as I mix cardio(running, mountainbiking) and lifting 50/50.
Looks like it's a bad time for me to be injured, I'd totally try this program, but I'm just not the yet when it comes to recovery. I probably need the squat hypertrophy program more right now because 65-75% of my previous 1RM is the most I can confortably do right now.
Will there be a free 8-week program like the OG 6-wk one? More generic and you're on your own with the tweaks, but a good starting point for most intermediate lifters
Is your program also for lifters who want to get strong on other exercised than the big 3? I prefer to focus on RDL's instead of deadlifts. Also want to improve pull up strength, ohp,..
I've been running the 6 week now for about a year and constantly see progress with it, I do add a set to the bench though. If you need help developing a mobile app for IOS and Android let me know.
Ive joined the 8 weeks program, but i hope there could be a set number to do rather than RPE, its quite difficult to decide which weights to go in each workout since mentally ill be simply inclined towards essier weight...
will there be versions of the program or programming advice built within that takes into account the differences in volume and intensity when in a calorie surplus vs deficit? a lot of people do mini cuts for meets and those weeks need slightly different progrmming

I'll be running the 8 week on the channel this year as well, like the old days with the 6 week program. Forgot to add that in.

Not likely
Will the V2 of the 6 week program be free? 😢
I got to know what shirt are you wearing?

It’s crazy how without high frequency bench press doesn’t improve. Same experience with me.
Interesting, i have trouble benching more than once a week but probably an intensity thing

Wasn't expecting a sales pitch. There are so many free programs and so many resources on the web to learn how to program for yourself.

The six week is a staple. A b3nchmark to measure other programs against. Can't wait to see the new tweekage.
Just take some random pills.

This program is freaking awesome. My lifts are up the highest that they've been in several years.
