Fun homebrew idea for Mannan Maclir: he could be the god of 'lost' cimmerians. If you're born a magic user, you are something you shouldn't be. If you're somehow on the ocean you're somewhere you shouldn't be. But Mannan's got your back, and he's a war god too so you'd still respect him as a cimmerian

Nyarlathotep has tones of roleplay potential as he is the most active of Lovecraft’s Gods you could make him a villain to the DND party as this lunatic god who antagonized and trikes the party

My annoyance is always the mispronunciation. That -hotep at the end means “is pleased” in Egyptian names. It means there is a Nyarlet out there somewhere.

@GrimDarkHalfOff Keep doing what your doing, I'll always watch your long form content, regardless of what genre you pick. Your enthusiasm has helped me so much in the last few years.
I was going through a tough time pretty much as you started your channel. Covid kinda destroyed my old life, spent four months stuck in a room following a pretty bad breakup of five years. Was in a dark place. Your early videos kept me going. I was in bad health and low self esteem. You inspired me to pick myself up and better myself.
Fast forward to now, I'm halfway through a degree in English Lit, am now out of dead end jobs in hospitality and am forging a career in education, inspiring youngsters to not make my mistakes and I've improved my physique thanks to a lot of hard work and grit.
I never knew how Robert E. Howard was a personal friend to H. P. Lovecraft, all I knew was the movie. Your videos enlightened me so much, bought a ton of his books and am now a big fan, his message of self reliance and your example single handedly pulled me out of a place I never thought I'd dig out of.
I'm sadly unable to support you on patron (despite genuinely wanting to) I'm paying for my degree as I go and my job, while immensely useful for my future newfound career doesn't pay well at all, but I just wanted to express my gratitude here, through words how much you have changed my life.
Sorry for the long message, I hope you manage to take the time in your no doubt busy day to read this, Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
"I know this: if life is illusion, then I am no less an illusion, and being thus, the illusion is real to me. I live, I burn with life, I love, I slay, and am content."

I love the guy’s efforts. I loved what I was hearing and commented. What are you even talking about. It was live and I was commenting right along with others. Where you in chat? Kinda strange. If you were, I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Out of all the gods in Conan that you have covered so far Yama is the most disturbing one by far. I guess it comes to how close to the type of evil the god embodies that we can encounter our world even, even in modern times. He represent a very human evil and what makes Yama even more unsettling, is that we don't even know if he is even exists. Like did this cult just come from human malice alone and has no real supernatural origins? Or does Yama actually exists and is so confident in the darker side of humanity will lead to our own downfall, that he doesn't have to lift a finger to cause our destruction? Both theories are both equally terrifying, agree with you Grim, if they worship Yama, you slay them on sight.
Nergal on the other hand, that is a pretty metal demon god I cant lie. Always been a fan of testing gods so Nergal is right up my ally, easily my favorite god you covered in this list. Also I agree with you on the design of the Shadows of Nurgle, how envision them personally are these 10 to 11 foot tall, black lion headed men, with obsidian skin, and glowing white eyes. So they kind of have a demonic and divine visage going on which fits with Nurgle theme as a fallen divine god.

I would like to thank this channel for exposing me to the Conan universe. As a child I've mostly avoided anything related to the Cimmerian hero because I though it to be very surface-level leftover stuff from the 80-ies. Now as a grown manchild I'm happy to discover how rich it is with the grimdark lore (and I especially love the way you suggest how to homebrew and implement elements from the universe, as I'm very much into dark fantasy settings and TTRPGs in general) that I can't help but get my hands on a collection of books and comics of this franchise.

Had a long thought of theory crafting and world building whatching the Tsathoggua segment, particularly the Voormi. Say that the tunnels of N'kai grew and persisted until the early Ancient Age of Earth, 10,000 or 6,000 years from present. One Could have a story involving a cut off segment of N'kai in the south west of North America, (Nevada and surrounding states for example). In Nevada there is Lovelock cave, it is involved in ancient Paiute legends. The legends speak of red haired giants that they called the "Si-Te-Cah", that lived in caves and tunnels in the area and would battle and pillage the Paiutes to eat them. One could easily integrate all of this into the universe for some good native tales for a tabletop game or otherwise.

I truly dont wanna be THAT person in the comments...and yet for a brief moment i must. The word "gease" is pronounced GESH. Also, i know when it comes to saying lovecraftian names its a little less ironclad, but ive always been under the impression that "Tsathoggua" is said like sath-OGG-wa. Basically would rhyme with something like "BathFrogDuh"
