since everyone's talking about their AUs, ima talk about mine but detailed, a few things might change overtime tho :D Basically at the start William was the good guy who worked 24/7 and thus didn't have time for his family, Mrs. Afton (who's named Madison in my AU) started off as nice aswell but as she got older her age and parenting power got to her, she started to be more greedy and less caring towards most of her kids only really caring about Elizabeth because she's her favorite and this got so bad he started to abuse them, Michael being who suffered the most due to being "a disgrace to their beautiful perfect family" because of his behavior (yes, she says that all the time, even when she's talking about him to strangers). Later on William found out (either by seeing her yelling at one of their kids or someone who heard her talking bad about the kids tells him about it) and confronted Madison, who divorced him and in court tried to convince the judges she was the good one, which failed as David/CC and Michael gone into detail about what she done, Elizabeth being mostly clueless about it and thus the kids chose to stay with William. After that, he let Madision borrow his old car so she can go to her parents house while he took the kids home and wished her well, however because it was OLD she ended up losing control over it on her way and falling off a bridge. Her body was later found at the shore of a beach because it got taken away by the water all the way to the nearest beach. After this got out into the news, William started to grief the most about it because he still loved her even tho she was a b*tch and got stuck between the anger and barganing stage, which made him take out his anger on his kids and thus turned him abusive, then it got THAT BAD and he never got any mental help for this and the rest is history. thanks for reading my yapping, have a cookie! 🍪
