I'm not calling Leary brilliant and prophetic because he would hate that and surely disagree...the ideas are brilliant and prophetic and have always existed...in the inherent wisdom that exists in all of us...he was one of the best mediums of those ideas that ever existed.

Many great people who are advocates of lsd and hallucinogens than leary tho his name will always be associated w it. Perhaps you should read better sources of what drugs he took and how he lived his life. It was loud and cluttered. You might be of a much younger generation than mine. Although I resonated with Leary's thinking he veered off course near the end. In his final interviews you could tell that he still had remnants of genius left, but his brain was so fried from years of drug consumption that he had difficulty stringing a sentence together. Having bibles brought into prison with entire pages soaked in lsd may not have been the best for him. The last I heard about him his ashes were being launched into space which seems like a fitting end

Please don't try to put Crowley in the same class an Timothy Leary. Even though Crowley did make some huge advancements towards helping humankind to open their minds and their conciousness, and as much as I have not wanted to accept it, I now believe that Crowley was also truly evil as well as enlightening in many ways. Whereas Timothy Leary's intent has always been clearly, and simply to help humanity to wake up in a positive way albeit not always so positive for him.

We don't need drugs to dream. Look back when you were a child, did you know how to dream or how to play? As we grow, we learn how to to access our dreams and make them into reality. Drugs blur the line between dreams and reality. At first the joke is on everyone else... then it is on you.
