New subbie, love your babies!! Sending blessings for continuous health and longevity!! I have 2 four month old toy poodles (they are sisters) Sophie and Willow ❤️🐶❤️
I have heard that teacup poodles have separation anxiety, and you cannot leave them alone for too long, but obviously, people have to go to work and other activities through their day or night. Have you found that these dogs are any different than any other dog, as far as being able to leave them home while you carry out regular duties
I definitely sometimes leave my dogs home alone for no more than 3 hours at the most. My oldest teacup actually has separation anxiety/ anxiety with my fiancé, but does pretty well when we’re both gone. But I think that’s beyond my lack of socializing him when he was younger - I now know better. But i would casually just leave him alone for a short amount of time and over time id increase that. I work from home so it’s easier for me & them. But yeah for them to be super small, they need people around more often.
Yes! They are! For food, balanced raw is best but you can always cook the raw (no purina, no royal canin -they’re horrible for your dog) Get their insurance before they arrive! You can pet insurance but they won’t make it active until 2 weeks once you get the puppy. Pet parks aren’t really safe for the dogs (illnesses, & their size) but do find some people who have good dogs that your dogs can interact with. Depending on your area, hawks love these little guys and I’ve heard a bunch of stories of them grabbing up small dogs. I see them everyday so I keep a leash on them when I go outside and I’m with them.
Would you say a female toy poodle is more difficult or easier to train? How about temperament? I have 2 months to decide if I'll choose a female or male and my heart is set on a female. Oh, and i have a big old male dog at home, so she'll be the only other female in the house. I have an 8-year-old boy, a 16-year-old boy and a 43-year-old boy..I mean, husband. 😅
Haha congratulations on your new puppy 💕 honestly I’m not sure which gender you should choose, I don’t have the knowledge so id suggest you reach out to the breeders and ask them or you can reach out to another reputable breeder and ask them as well. As far as temperament, I’ve never had bad issues with these breed lol my boy is way more relaxed and a daddy’s boy and more needy. My girl is more independent and bold and a mommas girl- she’s also more sassy but not too much to where it causes problems. But this may be also due to how I’ve grown them up. For me it wasn’t that hard to choose because I already had a boy and it’s the same breed and size so I wasn’t too worried but I have no clue which gender you should go with in your case. I hope this helps somewhat. Let me know what the other breeders tell you.
are you going to the same breeder? It seems like both of yours had some type of health challenges? I was just curious ..not being disrespectful. they are cute!! she has a little of the fading gene like him..the light or white roots always tell if they will lighten a lot or a little like just a tad ..not too much.
Nope 2 diff breeders. He was straight up from a puppy mill and she was from a breeder who I think had some unethical practices based on her being sick when we arrived.
OMG! 😅😊, I was so confused 🫤 but you got another one…..💜💜😊 sweet…😊

Hi I’m about to get one, how big did your dog get ?
@@shizmissroyalty6237 hi there, congratulations! One is 5lbs and the other is 4.5 lbs now. Won’t be getting any bigger.
Is your teacup doing well? I get my teacup poodle in 3-4weeks. Any tips you are able to share?

My tea cup poodle is 3 months and she’s not that active at all. She doesn’t even bark
I wonder if she should be checked out? Or either give her another month and see
