  • Let's do a quick playfield clean and wax, along with rubber replacement on a 1969 Gottlieb Airport. This is not a deep clean as we usually see but more or less, routine maintenance to keep your pinball in peak condition. Bonus- I'm going to show you how to fix those annoying flickering lamp sockets. If you like to see these old pinballs and novelties brought back to life or want to learn how to fix yours, please consider subscribing and post in the comments content that you would like to see. Thanks for watching!

Thanks again for taking the time PMP, great stuff. More vid's on soldering in various locations would be appreciated. It's something I'm crap at and have the burn scars to prove it.

@@chuckufarley5884 That's how you learn and teach others from experience. All the cuts and burns tell stories. Thanks again for watching. It's those like you that I like making these videos for.

Just bought one of these a few months ago. Great game, super fast, lots of fun to play. My backglass is a little better, not much. Thanks!

@@pin-monkeypinball3548 Heh, I won't say how old I was when this came out, suffice to say not many years later I was working part-time in an arcade after school fixing/maintaining games. I've owned many over the years, lots of Gottliebs, but this is only the second or third multi-player Gottlieb I've owned. Most I had in the past were wedgeheads, along with "Flip-A-Card" and the classic "Target Alpha."

Hey, I've been all over with work, but I should have some time during the week when we can work live together in messenger or facetime. Usually all components work together in a game so if it hasn't been cleaned or serviced in years, then chances are a good cleaning of switches and steppers is a good place to start. But there really isn't a pick and choose method when it comes to that. Many times you don't even have to know what switches or steppers do, as long as they're clean and making contact, moving freely and wires attached, most problems get solved. Once that is done, or if it has been recently already, we can look deeper into the issue. I will email you during the week and check when you're available to go live.

@@marklacey3246 hey. What has been done that it's starting to work? The score reels probably need cleaning along with all the steppers and relays.
