Well it seems obvious or not that we are working on a diesel motor correct ?, I can't seem to find a sentiment bowl or a separator on my gasoline engine
My 2018 FTR ended up in the shop with reduced power. I figured the fuel had waxed up due to the extreme temperatures. NOPE.. A clogged fuel filter was the culprit. As in black dirt filled clogged up. I only take it to the Isuzu dealer for scheduled PM service. The technician who helped me with my SOS service hinted that the filter on the engine block hadn't been replaced regularly. My guess is the dealership has been replacing the lower filter and missing the other one. I hope I'm wrong about that, and will be talking with Mike in the service department next visit! Seems strange that a filter would clog up in between service intervals, especially knowing I take care in pumping diesel from the same Top Tier pumps

The extra o ring goes on the the small screw below the 22mm bolt that holds the first filter on.

7/8ths works just as well, I go backwards from the way you do it, and vacuum bleed from the engine side filter. It's the same deal with FTRs but suckier. Different on the 3 liters
Not just for the NRR, also for the NQR,
NPR,NPR-HD. Same engines but the weight capacity or size on the frames and brakes

@@joelgarner667 you can damage the injector tips that way. Prefill the filters to prevent damage

Thank you for the video I just did my fuel filter replacement but just curious how do how do you reset the computer on the truck?
Facing the dash, you have 2 dash buttons. With the right button scroll ( turn it clockwise or counter clockwise) to get to the fuel filter or any of the other maintenance items. Once on the fuel filter, press the button until the mileage will flash. Then you can set the maintenance reminder to 10000 or so
I've got the 7.8 in my Isuzu. Do you know why I have to fully depress the throttle pedal when cycling the glow plugs?
Put new sediment filter on the ground with rubber seal on the gravel, could have potentially picked up a small stone. He didn't check. This why I do it myself

Hey Mat.. I have a 2019 Isuzu NPR XD and it idles down randomly when PTO is engaged... and ideas? Its random I can't recreate the issue..
Are you talking about when it regenerates? That's normal. I've been told never to shut it off when it does. But your dash should read "regeneration in progress." Otherwise it's something else

Any one know where I can find the fuel filter on my 2007 isuzu npr HD gas truck? My truck runs great most of the time but every once in a while it sputters and wont go over 35 mph and sounds like its stalling when it idles. Can only think its the fuel filter but cant find it to replace it.
Most any izuzu dealerships will carry it that's where I got mine
