Al Horford's shooting form looks mechanical as hell. You can tell that he's practiced that motion so many times that his hand almost can't not do it, even when his form is arguably wrong. Ben Simmons has no excuse. He's not trying or he's giving up during the inevitable early failures instead of pushing through them. This is what Charles Barkley is talking about when he says things are getting soft, because instead of encouraging Simmons to push through the adversity and developmental struggles, people were telling him he doesn't need to score. Maybe not. But is that really how we want to "support" people when they encounter difficulty? To run from it. We're going to have a generation of one dimensional 1st grade drop-outs if that catches on.

    • @Watermelon_Man

Its not how good the form looks, its the results that matter.... JJ is trying to make AL insecure about his form.... why? So he will start to miss? If JJ's form is so great why wasn't JJ the top scorer...

Steph Curry made it normal or better say he made it necessaty for everyone to shoot 3s. André Roberson like players can't play anymore.

People love giving Lopez all the credit for adjusting, but never Horford

It almost feels like whenever a former Ben Simmons teammate stresses the importance of shooting for spacing that it is a shot.
I know it isn't a shot but it just makes you feel like they must have all been extremely frustrated.
When Embiid and Horford were on the floor with Ben, Embiid, and Horford had to be spacers for Ben to operate freely. Doesn't that just sound ridiculous?
