- THEMOVE team are all scratching their heads at the tactics of UAE and Pogacar. Sometimes the mental victory is more important and that may well have happened with Jonas Vingegaard and team Visma-lease-a-bike. Lance keeps reminding everyone of just how much climbing is still to come.

Wiggins is the best thing that happened to this podcast in a long time. It elevates everyone’s level. Love George and Lance, 7x forever
Wiggins is completely financially broken. And it's pathetic to see him groveling at the feet of Lance. He has no shame either

its awesome lance gave him this opportunity
I absolutely LOVE the addition of Bradley Wiggins ❤❤
Jonas. I mean, even if he doesn't win the tour this year he's a champion. Three months ago he was in the hospital. It's insane. Bravo.
Please keep Wiggo on for the rest of the tour!!

Brad offers such a great insight. Loving it..🥰 btw The rider who welded his forks was Eugene Christophe in 1919 - he was also penalised by the judges for allowing a aprentice boy at the fordge to assist him and operate the bellows so he could keep the flame going.
Yep, we've all got some Christophe toe clips!
The best cycling podcast 🔥

Hi from Denmark (again). Just to let you all know, if u haven´t heard yet? After the stage, Jonas was in tears and very emotional, and for the first time, he really speaks up about the crash and the days and month after. Literally him, his family and close around, in fact thought he was gonna pass. Those 3 weeks at the hospital, has been much more worse, than anyone thought? From the start of the Tour, he continued said that, just to be here is a bonus. And look now. No one in he´s team, could imagine this to happens? Not could the World. I have a feeling, that i was watching history today, unfold in front of me. Goosebumps and some tears, from my side. Love from Denmark.
Thank you for letting us know your insights. It was so great to see him first across the line. I was so happy for him and continues to have a great experience for the remainder of TDF.
I am a Pogacar fan, but Jonas may have won me over today. What a ride. He may be the best in the world.
It was magical ❤❤
Jonas does not have big ball's, but he has big brains. That's why he won the stage. Wish him good luck. ❤
@@tonyvanderstraaten1040 If you keep biking after a crash like his, you do have big balls.
Sir Bradley is a gift to this pod
Hey Lance, You will regret for not visiting Eritrea 🇪🇷 earlier. Cycling is not a Sport in Eritrea 🇪🇷, it’s a life. As a local I advise to visit for 2025 Eritrean National Championship. You are Most Welcome 🙏🏽.
I totally want footage of that trip! Wow, that video of the folks watching in that bar seeing Girmay's win(s) was so amazing just pure joy....
An important distinction here is that Tadej is enjoying it. And it's the intelligent thing to do.
Reminded of Wiggins' honesty that he wasn't enjoying it when he was at his peak. Similarly, Jonas doesn't look like he's enjoying it.
It is a joy to watch and undoubtedly great fun. An enormously talented rider able to enjoy himself.
When he retires, he'll remember his attacks and the fun more than the records and stats, which are just numbers at the end of the day.
Love Wiggo on the show. I was always a fan on him on the bike, now I'm a double fan given his seemingly awesome personality.
Sir Wiggo is definitely one to invite to the party!
Pogi consistently makes poor decisions on when to attack, while Jonas is slow and steady and calculated and the better climber. Not looking good for Pogi this weekend. Now, if Jonas isn’t in the race, Pogi is brilliant. Problem is he’s been racing Jonas for five years now and should know better. Jonas showing the wisdom of holding back on the gravel stage. Just wait until it’s a mountain top finish and Jonas snatches back that minute. Loving the race though. They need each other to make this fascinating.
Jonas is like Froome and Tadej is like Contador, except his race instinct is worse. He cannot help himself. Makes for exciting racing but, like Lance pointed out, he could have easily had at least one more Tour win if he just chilled out and raced strategically.
@@bilwit Pogi has a ego problem imo. It does‘nt match with his „always friendly“ appearence. I‘m quite sure, in reality he is far less nice as he want‘s everybody to think he is. Thats what I love about Lance and Wiggo. They say what they think, even when their opinion is unpopular, something which is rare in these days of political correctness. ✌️
Fully agree. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I think Jonas is playing him right now. Pogi knows and is trying everything to gain more time.
Jonas will win in the mountains.
He deserves to win. Hope he wins 🙏🙏. Love to see him win 🙏🙏🙏♥️♥️♥️👍👍👍
I Told Vingegaard was in Great Shape before the tour.i saw him in Glyngøre Denmark 🇩🇰 Training.great Show ❤ thanks
He still seems to be a bit off on the descents. I thought by now he’d have more confidence but made he knows he doesn’t need to push during them.
Hello to Jutland from S.Texas. This stage was an instant Tour De France classic. Love Jonas, love Denmark! Go Jonas Go!
@@ldcow3948of course he almost did die
@@ldcow3948 He spent 2-3 weeks in Tignes training with WvA and Laporte, b4 the guys from Dauphine joined them. He said, the 2 of them really challenged him on descents to try to get the fear out of him. Tho its understandable, its not all gone already, he did think, he was going to die, when he crashed. And Galibier and the TT showed, he isnt 100% yet. But he keeps improving. Pogi really does need to drive perfectly, if hes going to stay ahead, once they hit the big mountains.
I think Pogacar is worried about the high mountains. I think he identified this stage as one where he could gain a small amount of time furthering his cushion on Vingegaard. It backfired.
Yeah, thats what I thought. The stage did seem perfect for Pogi, just the kind of stage he loves, short, explosive climbs, while the big mountains, loooong steady climbs are definitely Jonas territory. I think, this was planned, and instead of waiting until the last climb and repeat the Galibier tactic, they wanted to go early to get more time. I dont think, they believe, 1:15 (now 1:14) is enough. And if Jonas keeps improving, it wont be.
72 yrs old, been following The Tour since I went from a Stringray to drop bars. Today was the best breakdown of any stage I can remember .
Hope Tajea, listened because Jonas is about to filet him .
I’m 65, and I totally agree with your comments.
Almost 70 here, and started riding/racing in 1970.
IF you are in the USA? (but given the Stingray remake, I am guessing so) those Merckx years, well into the Hinault-LeMond years were almost impossible to follow the Tour, or any other Euro racing, without a short wave radio at your disposal (and then you'd better be able to fully understand RAPIDLY spoken French as well!!).
Even the (NY) Times, as 'international' as they claim(ed) to be, barely gave even final results of the Tour back then, and when they did it was a two sentence blurb about Merckx winning by however many minutes and that's it!!
Comedy gold with Brad and his deadpan delivery. Great show.
From Belgium, a very big compliment and thank you, for the excellent show gentlemen...
Love Sir Brad-even the shorts.
I LOVE JB but how fuckin awesome is Sir BW on this pod. You can feel it's still in his blood. It's so fun to listen.
In his blood...😂😂😂
What a lesson of pro cycling you four gives us today. So much thanks. I love see this show. 👏👏👏🏅🏆💪
Gotta say, Jonas shut a lot of people up today. Including me 😂 Well done, now the race is interesting and unpredictable 👏👏👏 Safe to say Jonas just put Pog in check 😮
Pogi beats himself with his nature to burn so many matches unnecessarily he's done it the last 2 yrs
Where was tiny balls Remco today 😂😂😂
@@krisbowditch827 For the life of me I cannot figure out how he is not a mega-climber!
He is small/compact, and (especially now after shedding some bulk) LIGHT, and obviously can generate some serious power (look at his TT abilities).
It is just too much 'medium twitch' type muscle (or whatever the muscle cell type which makes for a great TT rider), vs. slow twitch (climber type muscle cells), much lower; Max VO2, natural hematocrit, lactic acid tolerance and dissipation than the other two, or do the shorter cranks and femur just not allow him the needed leverage to blast up the cols?!?
Theories anyone?
@@LS1conehead its not even theory you can find old Danish interview before he signed to Visma still working at Fish factory in Denmark his sport doc told he has insane VO2 and not just that he said he has never seen athlete of such physiological capabilities he has ultimately perfect base build to be exceptional and Visma was able to fully reach that capability and elevate him to his maximum potential,on top of physiology he has all will and is disciplined and smart and technically great too he is just one of the best riders cyclist in history already in my books if not best GT rider we will see he has still many years i hope ahead of him in pro peloton
Loving Wiggins in put! Kudos for pulling him in great move! You 3 together is dynamic. Once you start understanding what’s going on you fall in love with sport and you’ve all brought several moments oh wow I didn’t understand till you turned the light on!
I don’t always agree with Lance, but I must say LA, George, Sir Wiggo, and JB2 nailed every single comment to perfection today. Loved Lance’s truth about Alan Piper vs. Matxin. The Sheik of the UAE needs to find a new Director Sportif who can control Pogacar. Pog is no more hard headed that LA was. Johan and LA had and still have a great relationship.
Hands down the best cycling show out there in terms insight and analysis.
Remco:Jonas needs to grow a pair!!!
Stage 11….
Remco: That’s not what I meant!!!
Eritrea is waiting for you too. Great people with outstanding hospitality. See you there.
Thanks but no thanks 😂
No problem.
Tesebuk Geberka .when you are a winner you choose .do you think they are happy a black man wins ?
I knew Jonas would win when I saw Yates pulling with 32K to go. The other two UAE guys were at the back of the line struggling
You have a trained eye sir. I agree.
Having Lance supporting Brad in this way is a starting point. Brad loves to talk cycling - this is no hardship to him and I hope that there are other discussions going on that will help Brad get back on his feet financially - he has a lot of value to add to the podcast and to other brand development.
well I still remember from 2022 where Tadej was leading the tour into stage 11 and was gaining time bonuses on Jonas. A certain Sir Wiggo called the tour. Said it was over and that Tadej had won........
A great team of super experienced pros leads to interesting discussions, well done
Love having Wiggo onboard!
Sir Bradley you are great!!!!
Love this show and awesome to have Sir Bradley on.

Yes he is a human being we respect him ❤❤❤ 🇪🇷🇪🇷
Bradley brings the European way to the show. What a pic
This show is awesome only discovered it this week
You've got from 3:28 to 6:46 to get your dope on.😂
Sir Bradley, you won the Internet with those shorts!
Absolutely fantastic!!!
The lads are bang on with so many things in this one. Giro is definitely in the legs and I think nutrition is really gonna be a factor. Ego also another huge factor. Pog really needs to chill out and not burn his team mates and he is a serious chance to win
You guys r great ,love your expert views and humour
Good to hear Bradley, such insight from all!
Wow, what a cast..
Big fan and follower of the show. Some great critique as well as humor added in. Today was an amazing stage.
I think you need to have the guy that does the images (Joe?) do one of Sir Bradley at the rodeo, wearing "the shorts", in his cowboy hat with his arm around a sheep, proudly holding the event winners belt buckle.
Thanks for the great work and to the staff of the show.
I'm new to this podcast , Im going to need to go back and watch from day one, BTW " The move" should be on every day!❤
I think the issue is that Pogacar wants to make the biggest possible gap to Jonas before the Alps and Pyrenees. Thats why he attacks
Let’s give Sir Wiggo a shoutout.
You’re such an awesome addition to the team.
Very knowledgeable with a few words.
Enjoy watching the show, thanks guys.
JB, you guys are rocking it. But this is the best episode in a while. Wiggins fantastic.
Great analysis of this stage. Keep up the good work.
Yeah Wiggo is a solid add.
but did he watch the rocky balboa movies
I think Pogi really needed to find out how good is Jonas form. Now that he knows. He can now come up with the proper strategy heading into the high mountains.
no strategy will help with that on mountains they will face if he can not follow his wheels or if Jonas wont be strong enough which it looks like he might be stronger than Pog in big mountains we will see
Great episode. I definitely noticed a momentum shift! Wow.
bradley is getting and better. good addition!
Love the style brings to the Move
This episode was SO funny!!! Love it!
Looks like some of the old war horses are having a good time, eh? 🙂 Always nice to get insights from some of the best...
... and George - that's 1:14 diff for the record ;-)
I’m here for the Big Bad Bad love in. Showin him some love in what have been hard times. He’s found his people ❤
Pogacar is racing this Tour de France as though he didn't lose the last two to Vingegaard by racing the same way. If he wanted to attack, it should have been by having his teammates pulling one after the other until rivals started dropping. It feels inevitable he will lose big time in one of the upcoming stages to Jonas having worn himself out going for all of these smaller gains.
Someone who gets it. The boy wastes energy left and right. Wasted it in the giro. He keeps doing this stupid shit he’s gonna lose.
Bingo!
Hej actually had his team pull. Simon Yates was the last one to pull. He is clearly calculating losing time in the up coming stages so he has to go hard now. He has no choice.
@@Nyelands I don’t think he’s calculating anything. His interview was utter nonsense.
@@Nyelands they need to be pulling til they drop the competition or they drop themselves; not just until Pogi feels like TTing it the rest of the way
Sir Armstrong .. Eritrea 🇪🇷 is awaiting for you , the Eritreans media already saying that you are coming and every one is expecting .. watch your wellcome to Eritrea 🇪🇷 be 🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷💚💚💚 by the way we are keeping the green 😅💃💃💃💃
I HOPE so!!
That would be one of the coolest things to ever happen to/in this sport we love, besides what it would mean to Bini himself, and Eritrea!!! 👍👍👍
Best episode hands down
Nice work Bradley !!!
Didn’t expect Wiggins to be such a great add to the show!
Sir B Wiggins dropping some great insights 👌🏾👌🏾
Lance, the momentum has shifted back again in stage 14!
Remco´s mouth was too heavy to drag up those climbs.
Laughed out loud. Good one :)
Saw his interview today, by surprise he was very humble 😂
He actually didn’t do too badly I think. And still in 2nd on the GC.
He dropped his balls so early in the mountains 😂
Remco isn't on the same level as these guys and everyone who knew anything knows the third week is not going to be kind to him.... Never mind the second week right now, this was easy riding today
I thought Pogacar was a Lance and now I realize that he's nothing like a Lance. Lance still the greatest!👍
Have thoroughly enjoyed TheMove with Wiggo engaging all the banter 😂
Jonas is going to drop him on the big mountains, he looks good
It is not just Pogi, it is also team car. The only guy with some sense in the team seems to be Adam Yates, but guys like specially Ayuso and to a lesser extent Almeida are also doing whatever, and apparently nobody is telling them off.
Sir Bradley is Excellent.
Keep him until the end of the Tour.
This is my favorite episode of The Move ever. Call it as you see it!
The Best!!!!!!!!
Love U george. Love from Colombia
I think the work relationship between Grischa and Jonas is outstanding. They both seem to have great confidence in eachother. Grischa was just great yesterday tactically.
I ain't mad at brad . Definitely adding flavor to the tasty plate of this show ...good on all ya boys . Super good stuff
Bradley is brilliant fair play watch anything with him on talks sense great podcast.
Wow the show just shifted.., Wiggo is the real deal. Appreciate the insight.
You could already see some of the cracks in Pogacar's form on the TT stage. If you look at the climbing part on that stage, he did nok take alot of time on the other riders, i don't rememember exactly but i think it was only like 6 seconds on Vauquelin and 12 seconds on Campenaerts. A Pogacar in top form would take atleast 20-30 seconds on riders like that, like he did in the Giro. From now on i think Pogacar have to race really smart because i don't think his form is getting better compared to Vingegaard.
Wiggo is on fire 🤩
VIN and POGE flexin super head to head yep.The big 4 showing up.
Someone share this podcast to UAE director
Even before the sprint you could clearly see Pogacar's body language was completely indicting that he was not feeling good.
Sir Bradley going with you all to that small town
“That didn’t work, the guy has recovered … you wanna win? Put your team on the front, I’ll be right here.”
Well said Lance! Gotta get Pogi on the phone 😆
ADRIAAAAN jajaja good one G!
Get wiggins back on the bike with you guys ❤😀🚴 big respect to Brad for making cycling main stream to U.K over ten years ago 🙏🙏🙏👌
That little "we're all speechless". It really means everybody has a lot to say ...
Hello from Brazil! Just one correction. Sir Wiggo said there are 3 cycling knights: Cav, Hoy and himself. Sir Jason Kenny, another track cyclist was knighted after winning his seventh olympic gold medal and second silver medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
I said it yesterday, Jonas was stalking his prey, stage 14 is where he kicks.
Wonder if Poggy and Jonas watch this show 😂 maybe they should 😊
Imagine having Brad and Johan doing a race analysis together. Cycling fans wet dream...😂
Yo Adrienne, I did it! I thought the same bit thought I was bonkers.
Jonas, Jonas,Jonas!
