Always a treat to watch these game round-to-round summaries! Really appreciate it, putting these on you tube. Having launched my own channel recently, I know how much time it could take. This game, I feel like Japan has the edge. Especially when they are able to get hold off the money islands and putting some pressure on Ansac. Thx again. Great stuff!
Awesome! As mentioned in my introduction video, I will be making some strategy video’s and a gameplay video of a game planned on 27 Jan. I like the way you summarize these, so if you don’t mind I will try the same approach.
I think Allies might have won this one if the Australians manage to hold against the IJN. They seem to have the European Axis contained somewhat effectively. Overall, it'd be a race against the clock. Can the Allies kill Germany/Italy before Japan grabs the VCs it needs to declare victory in the Pacific?
Doucheman Macgee you’re right, it’s a nail biter. Our house rules(intentionally) make it harder for the axis to win than just grabbing VCs. But Japan is poised to explode, and I personally think they’d prevail in the end.
Depends on how fast the Allies can subdue Germany/Italy. I do agree though that Japan is gonna push 70 income pretty soon and start dominating the game. It was an entertaining game to watch though. Thanks for the video!
USA does have to do 1 or the other but should never, ever sail their Pacific fleet away if sealion... just spend almost all on Germ and game over. The Pacific fleet is enough of a presence in Pacific to hold Honolulu and Sydney
Especially if Calcutta crush is on... the Pacific fleet with minimal purchases( like just a loaded transport)/ turn can be a thorn in Japans side. 4 carriers in the atlantic is wasteful
I don't think they could have until it was too late. I'm not 100% sure of the details of the game but I don't think Germany ever declared war on the USSR. And the USSR can't declare war on Germany until R4 or until London falls.
Doucheman is correct that the Russians couldn’t attack the navy before turn 3, by Calvin is correct that they should have attacked the fleet with their sub after the attack on Novgorod. That’s what I was afraid he’d do.
