    looks fantastic
    the chin strip is a great idea
    when the front is up it looks like one of those flip up/modular motorcycle helmets haha
    very cool, cant wait to see it painted
    maybe a foam armor set to go along with it?

      Hi Melinda, thank you. The flip up and chin strip are the same as the scout original helmet. The scout foam armor build is my next build. Thanks again.

    Will hot glue work? Also do you have a list of materials needed?

    • @StormtroopTemplates
      @StormtroopTemplates  2 года назад +1

      Yes will work but it's not recommended if you want good finish. Always better and recommended contact cement.
      The list of material is included in the item details on the Etsy product.

    would 8mm foam work for the entire helmet?

    • @StormtroopTemplates
      @StormtroopTemplates  10 месяцев назад

      Hi, you can use all 8mm in the helmet, but there are 2 trapezoids with originally 5mm that you can make also with 8mm, that's the only difference.
      Tell me if you need more info.

    • @StormtroopTemplates
      @StormtroopTemplates  10 месяцев назад

      @@bluemando-o9k Only you can use hot glue before glue or before join with other piece, you cannot heat over the hot glued unions. I do not recommend using hot glue. Use only contact cement with foam.
      Tell me if you need more info.

      is their any other glue that is less toxic than contact cement. I'd rather use something that's not super toxic.@@StormtroopTemplates

      @@bluemando-o9k No, sorry, I recommend to use the appropriate protection for that.
      No other glue works fine with foam.

      @StormtroopTemplates  2 года назад

      Hi Hugo, I use a contact cement from my country, you cannot get it in yours. So I suggest use Weldwood Contact Cement - DAP or Barge but I have never used them, so I recommend that you try and choose the one that works best for you.Try to get one that is quite liquid and dries quickly.

    where do you get that foam to make it

    • @StormtroopTemplates
      @StormtroopTemplates  2 года назад +1

      Hi, I get it from my country, But you can get the Eva foam in these online cosplay stores:
      cosplaysupplies.com (USA & Canada), redmooncosplaysolutions.com (USA & Canada), truenorthcosplay.com, (Canada), arda-wigs.com/collections/foam-products (USA), sksprops.com (USA), thecosplaypros.com (USA), tntcosplaysupply.com (USA & Canada),
      poly-props.com (UK), cosplaycrafts.com (USA),
      it's foam density between 60 to 80 (30kg to 50kg in kg by m3) to get the same result, check the tnt cosplay Eva-38 foam sheets, it's nice to work with:
      tntcosplaysupply.com/product/eva-foam-sheets/
      You can get sheets of foam of 24" x 60", each sheet is almost 1 square meter.
      Thanks for asking.
