I’m just devastated at the moment. I am a swim coach in Sydney Australia. Could you please give my athletes advices as they are facing this crisis without pool sessions. I don’t know how I can keep them motivated as remotely contacting with them. By the way, my swimmers have met you at some World Cup series last year and they said you were so so friendly and very respectful. I love your RUclips channel and watch yours very often. I just don’t know what I should give my atheist to do right now. You have a dad with you always but the most of athletes can’t get a coach with them to train in pool at all now. They can’t even access into a gym because government has decided to close all gyms and indoor sports facilities indefinite period of time. One of my athletes has made OWS World Junior team in August therefore, whether or not it’ll be still held, she definitely needs to keep on training. If you can give me and my athletes any advices, it will be so much appreciated. I might loose my job seriously but at least my athletes can do something they can do under this circumstance right now, I’m very happy. Ryo
Get them to do cardio and bodyweight exercises at home to keep their fitness up. Make sure they do not overeat or under-eat because of lack of training. You could possibly do a live stream and run them through some dryland/workouts.
