Girl I had to pause the video and just say that I 💯 felt when u said u quit ur 9-5 to pursue ur passion. And how it wasn’t ur focus. Go all in. That’s exactly where I’m at right now. Like it wasn’t easy giving my 4 weeks notice . But I know in my heart this is what I want to do. And im gonna go all in. Literally in tears im just reasoning with this so much 🙏❤️
This is a sign that you made the right decision! Doesn't mean it was easy, but it was the right one and you did it anyway. I wish you nothing but the best on this entrepreneurial journey Giselle 😊 It's only going up from here ❤
watched your videos a month ago or so, i'm back here just to let you know im proudly in the beginning stages of starting my business and enjoying every second of it and FINALLY got the ball rolling on my end, im excited and motivated and I cant wait to see what lies behind this door i just opened. thank you so much
23, just graduated college last year & finally taking a step into this industry! i took an ombre powder course last month & have just been practicing like crazy + my instructor is so supportive & thinks i should've started 5 years ago bc i "wouldve been a world renowned artist already" 😂 thank you for this video
I am back watching this video again as I just became certified and still looking for more real life models. I’ve done everything else administratively to start my business but still looking for models. I’ve been so discouraged since I’m having a hard time getting more models, let alone clients. I just keep watching your videos to help keep me motivated.
I’m so glad I’ve literally been doing everything you just told in this video. I finished my pmu fundamentals course yesterday. I turned my personal IG to a business one, made some videos and content also a video of me showing and talking about how I outline eyebrows… lol I needed this video to push me more thank you ❤
Thank you for truly motivating me! I have been certified in microblading for almost a year and I've been so fearful of all the "what if's". Fear does consume you and limits you. Thank you for sharing all your tips and motivational messages🙏 I have an appointment next week to get my tattoo license 🙏❤️
You are a gem 💎 I’m starting my own Microblading business next month. I’m so nervous yet so excited at the same time and your videos are just truly inspiring and helpful with inputting faith in myself. Thank you Anna 💖
Hello Anna, I just want to thank you for all the informative videos that you make. This one in particular is so good because I just realized that in my case all I have is fear to start and to mess up. But anyways thank you so much!! Sending many blessings your way.
Hi Julissa thanks so much for the feedback! Yes, fear can be such a debilitating emotion but it's also the one that signals to us that what we're about to do is the right move. I wish you the best of luck in your PMU journey :)
I’ve been watching all your videos!!! Let me say that I am so happy to have found someone who is in NYC that is displaying their stories and sharing their generosity & couragem bc a lot of brow artists are out of town
Thank you! This was extremely helpful, Anna! I have done my micro blading course in 2016 with PhiBrows, and in 2022 I'm still afraid to do it, scared of talking to clients, even tho my work is great, I had a lot of fears holding me back, but now as I'm turning 30 next week, I decided to focus on this and have more confidence in me! Thank you
It’s okay to have the fears, but don’t let them hold you back! Allow yourself to write down ALL your fears & worst case scenarios. Then work through that list by creating a game plan to prepare for each one. By replacing the fear with preparation, you will feel more confident in getting started. Wishing you the best of luck!
100% true. If you go all in on something you WILL succeed. The reason many people don't succeed is because they are not 100% committed and are wishy washy. I'm guilty of it.
Honestly so proud of u for having the self awareness 🙏🏼🙏🏼 going all in is scary & that’s okay! One of my fave quotes is: Feel the fear and do it anyway 💕
First time to your channel and I thank you soo much for all the information you share and will continue to share! Keep posting for us NEWBIES🤗🤗 #pmuintraining#newsubie
Hi Anna, I want to say thank you for all the videos you make . I took a microblading course last summer , and was scammed . I’ve been scared to take another course . It’s not cheap . I’ve been practicing on fake skin , because I’m very fearful of messing up on a real person . I want to take another class , but I’m still upset . I don’t have thousands of dollars to waste
Hello Anna, I am so happy I discovered your channel. I am thinking to go thru microblading training and start my own business. You answered so many questions, which is amazing.. Would you please tell me what is the earning potential for this business. For instance , h ow much did you earn in your 2nd year running this business. Thanks again so very much for such a great content 🙏🙏🙏
good question!! yess you don't have to open up your own shop if you don't want to. you can always rent or work with an existing PMU/tattoo studio to get started 🤍
Hi Melissa thank you for sharing! That fear is all too familiar to me and so many other artists when we’re just starting out. Know that you’re not alone and we all begin somewhere. If there’s any specific steps of the tattooing that you feel nervous about, I highly recommend bringing it to your trainer and asking them for feedback! Support is always right around the corner, don’t be afraid to ask! Wishing you best of luck ✨
Anna, when you said focus on one thing that def resonated. Do you think lip blush service is just as in demand or coming in demand similar to microblading?
Hi Mira ~ If you search "microblading jobs near me" or "permanent makeup jobs near me," you may be able to find some openings at a spa or PMU studio. If this is not an option, I would directly reach out to established PMU salons in your area to see if they have an opening that you can apply for. Best of luck!
Hi Nikita! Good luck on your ombre training! Your trainer will be able to give you more info on the specific licenses you need & biz requirements. In NYC, the main exam you need to take and pass is the tattoo license.
Hi Anna, when you said that you had no clients upon starting, did you quit your full time job once you've secured your studio? What was your experience after getting your license?
Hi Tosca thanks for your interest! Doors to the free training have closed. I'm hosting a brand new virtual challenge in January if you're interested! www.zerotobooked.com
Hi I’m thinking to work in beauty industry . I thought to go to school to become an Esthetician in order to provide makeup ,lashes and brow services . ( I need a license to legally practice this in NewJersey l. I am NOW thinking to become a PMU artist and perform those other services as well . Do I STLL NEED my ESTHETICIAN license !??? I’m a teacher and want a careee change ASAP! Hope you answer ! Thanks
Hey Anna, this video was so helpful!! I am considering taking an intensive course which includes Microblading/ combo and ombré brows. Do you think this is a good idea? Or would you consider doing simply microblading as a starter?
hello welcome!! ❤ proud of you for wanting to start your PMU journey!! personally I think it's better to master one technique down first (your favorite one/the one you want to offer most to your clients). it'll lend itself to picking up your 2nd, 3rd etc. technique better and faster, once you have foundational knowledge. with that said everyone has diff learning styles & artistic experience, so if you're a complete beginner I'd recommend starting with one. If you're quite versed in tattooing/art already then you can consider doing the intensive. hope this helps!!
This was motivating and inspiring. PMU used to be my side hustle, and now I’ve taken the leap to make it my main hustle. My current goal rn is curating enough content for social media. I’m just realizing everything I do pre and post appointment can be CONTENT lol. And now instagram prefers reels and stories to gain traction. What’s your preferred editing app for video to filter the client’s skin without distorting the brows? Thank you so much for your content! 🤍
WOW i am so proud of you for turning your side hustle into a full time career ❤ tbh I don't use video filters, but I love perfect365 for editing blemishes from photos. wishing you all the good vibes my friend ❤❤❤

Do you have to have a brick and mortar to start? Where can you begin the actual work? At some else’s studio?
good question!! yess you don't have to open up your own shop if you don't want to. you can always rent or work with an existing PMU/tattoo studio to get started 🤍

It's called Orient by SelfChol! 🥰
Will you be doing another free live training?
Anna, when you said focus on one thing that def resonated. Do you think lip blush service is just as in demand or coming in demand similar to microblading?
💯
Very encouraging
The only thing that holds me back is where would I work if I’m not able to service from home ? Like where could a pmu artist actually apply
