Well said..Venison is good healthy meat, and they only last so long until they get too old, either get taken slowly by predators or starvation..
I haven't hunted in years as people have shared plenty enough meat with me, but for over 20+ years I have walked with and learned a LOT from my local suburban territory whitetail matriarchs who encircle town. Long ago meeting the great grandmother of my 6½year old Zoe till now with her family of twin fawns, nanny 1½year old doe, and 2½years old sister who is lower in the ranks, it has been an absolute blessing to live amongst and work @ work with them. We are now like family, literally, I overwatch wild deer buddies as they sleep or in transit /feeding. We don't eat family, "we only eat the tourists", and my deer have shared so much of their lives with me.They help with security & site monitoring, like a K9 they use their nose, they also compile awareness of days events on location, have pointed out mischief larceny & vandalism, Momma sharing what was a survival surveillance concern, pointing it out, tracking its path..sniffing & blowing to draw attention, conveying danger.. amazing animals! But we HAVE GOT TO COVER WHAT WE WANT TO KEEP TO OURSELVES! My girl loves barriers like fences, especially if she has her own food plot to jump into..(we raised the bar, she cleared it with grace..🙎‍♂️🤦‍♂️*lesson learned.🤷‍♂️)
Being seen w/my deer & smelling like family feet & slobber has allowed me to mix in w/other wild deer ..they react as if I'm a strange deer, they have strong curiosity..continual keeping up on "who, when, what impact?" keeps them alive .. having bucks trot in during rut & my guys not "blowing me out" as I sit amongst them is scary @ times..but worth more than anything I'd ever experienced. My friends & I are like family, like having a good hunting dog, similar bond..and work relationship..but @ times I feel like I'm MOMMA ZOE'S dog! Watching their full development in the nursery has been awsome. Seeing bucks wander off & grow..🥰😍🤩🦌..AWSOME! Seeing 300+ lb deer @ night in my area, greeting them.. life changing..(underwear changing!)
I lost a hunting friend this year, his 80's were the greatest..couple years ago he got a massive buck for his birthday..his last one..the hunter and the hunted are @ peace, may they never be forgotten...

This video gives me encouragement because a Buck I hunted in 2020 was 5.5 and a True Bruiser....Haven't gotten him on camera since December of 2020 which he had a broken main beam. All this time, I figured he'd gotten hit by a vehicle on the roadway because it is a Neighborhood deer. Today, he would be 8.5 years old. The other day, I caught glimpse of a MASSIVE body deer walking thru the edge of a thicket with his head down so of course I did not get to see any antlers for identification. I'll definitely know if it's him when he pops his head out because he has a clipped left side ear and built like a Mack Truck. Even in 2020, I compared his body size to a Horse with antlers. He was far FAR bigger than any other deer in the area. Numerous night time photos up until late 2020, then Nothing. Nothing last year, or the year before or even this year which makes me think that he's eluding the cameras. I know for a fact he'll top atleast 250 lbs dressed. Thats massive for a Georgia Deer these days. If I get him, the word will spread far and wide I'm sure. Good luck this year and I hope you have a Bigger Better Deer in the future.

Biggest whitetail I ever saw was taken off an area closed for over 30+ years. The owners opened it to the people who worked for them because they were selling out the land. I saw it 3days earlier and stopped to watch the monster. It was weighed and dressed out at 309 pounds. Made me almost think that the areas around me should take a break and let them grow bigger. But now they say they are worried about wasting disease and increased the culling. Rock and a hard place. But that boy was amazing and So Was Yours.

If you watch enough of these hunts, you’ll see them let the younger ones walk past. Great hunters KNOW mind blowing data for the deer they are pursuing. They are harvesting the older bucks that have peaked and will start going downhill from younger bucks claiming their range and does. It’s conservation; the correct way. These deer don’t have natural predators in states that don’t have large wolf packs or mountain lions. They have to be thinned out. You should look for videos of starving deer barely making through winter because of the large numbers that are not properly managed. The only worse thing is seeing so many dead giants and does from Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD).

    Hi guys,
Thanks for your videos, they're wonderful and you make a great team. I'm a bow hunter in France and I really enjoy watching your channel.
Just a question about this one: why kill common carp? In France, they are non-invasive fish, very useful for the balance of our ecosystems. It seems to me that shooting Asian carp or snakeheads would be much more useful. But maybe I'm wrong.
Good day and thank you in advance for your reply.

Another Bowmar incredible video. I love the way you do your content. It is my weekly hunting show that I watch religiously. I know when I sit down to watch it that it will be a complete story of the deer/animal that you will be hunting during the show. Others try to do this, but they can learn a lot from watching how you guys do it. Another thing that you guys show that few others do is the family aspect to being a professional hunting couple. This is one, among many, reasons that your content is so far above the rest in my opinion. You guys incorporate everything into a show format that comes together and is very enjoyable to watch. Most other shows is only about the kill and with yours that is a very small part of the show. I have been a fan from the beginning and will always be, because in every show you remind me of why I enjoy hunting and motivates me to put in the hard work to be successful. I could go on for another page, but just know that you guys touch more than just the hunting public. Your content is something for the whole family to enjoy. At least my family thoroughly enjoys watching your adventures. Keep them coming!!

Heartbreaking! I have a ranch in northern Manitoba and manage it for trophy deer. Never fails that target deer spend 364 days a year on our place but one day at the neighbours during the rut! You never get great deer if you shoot all the good ones is very true. Good luck and stay safe.

Same here in TX. We feed year round and my next door neighbor shoots the only 8 point on the place leaving 4 three year old spikes that I have pointed out to him. It has taken us two decades to attract and hold ANY deer and he takes the only worthy buck on the place.
Guys, you can't eat the horns!!!
