Why does it seem to me like Heckle and Jeckle are just two absolute jerks who go around messing with people for fun?
Chuck jones has said in an interview that's what helps Bugs Bunny stand out from Daffy Duck, Woody Woodpecker, and the talking magpies, they don't need to be provoked to go on the attack.
