My in laws live in Denmark, and even renting their own home they still have weekly communal dinners and each week someone different hosts in their communal group. You bring the host a gift that'll help make their space more hygge and then everyone bonds and just relaxes together.
I don't comment often, but YES please do more mukbangs! I like watching RUclips while eating my dinner, and I'm always thrilled when I see you posted a mukbang!
I'm all in for a Vegan community, I struggle where I live there are no Vegan restaurants and very few options in other restaurants. So I just make my own. Your Channel and other like Plentiful Kiki, High Carb Hannah, Chief AJ, Healthy Vegan Mama, and Gaz Oakley have been a great help for me. I have also gotten the bundle twice now. It has been a great help. Thank you.
There’s a saying something like ‘social media brings us together with people far away but separates us from the people sitting right next to us’ and it’s so true! 😢
My office’s Starbucks had a Wilson pumpkin last week! Wild that this topic came up twice during the week, and that we need to use a weekly coffee run as an opportunity to talk to our coworkers for a few minutes 🥲
I agree with most of what you said. We're around the same age. My first cell phone was the indestructible Nokia in 2004 when I was 17. I had 500 texts I was able to send per month and if I wanted to talk on the phone and have minutes left I would have to wait until nighttime. So much of our human interaction has been lost because of cellphones and technology. When I'm out with friends or family, we have a no cell phone rule. There's nothing worse than trying to have a conversation with someone and they're buried in their phone. There's good and bad to most everything, but there seems to be such an addiction to our phones and social media that sometimes I feel like deleting all of the apps out of my phone. To your other point, there is such a focus (in North America especially) on moving out as soon as you're of age, to being away from family and living on your own. My mom was a single mother. I knew if I left, she'd lose the house she'd spent her life working to keep over our heads. I couldn't let that happen. I wasn't even close to getting married back then, so I stayed and worked and went to school and helped pay bills. When she got sick in 2019 and was diagnosed with leukemia, I took care of her until she passed away last October. There were times that I absolutely wanted to live on my own, that I wanted to leave, that I couldn't stand living at home. Now that I'm a little older I think having multiple generations of people in the house is awesome. I got to spend so much time with my mom, and what a blessing to have all those memories with her especially now that she's gone. As long as you're working and contributing and helping take care of things, I don't see anything wrong with living at home, especially since everything is SO expensive. Anyway, all that was just to say living with loved ones might also help to solve some of the loneliness epidemic. Having daily human interaction that is face to face, be it cooking dinner together, or watching a movie together before bed could be so beneficial to a lot of people feeling lonely and isolated. Anyway, that's just my 2 cents. The only other thing I wanna know is WHEREEEEE you get those pickled radishes. The only ones I ever see are the yellow ones. I want YOURS 😂
Omg I totally agree with everything! I’ve realized that this huge emphasis on independence is good in a way but can be detrimental and I now see the value in multi generational homes. It’s highly stigmatized in North America which also is an issue. Sigh…. Anyway the radishes- I get them from Korean supermarket!
I think we blame social media when it's just a byproduct of a much bigger issue. Look up studies on Mexican people and why they are the happiest people although they are known to be not as wealthy as the US or Canada. Social structures are different they congratulate more with family and within their communities. I think Rose touched on this better in her last video we were closer to our communities in the past but in America for example we have learned to be very individualistic hence the birth of such heavy reliance on Social Media.
I always feel like I should be eating with you while catching up. Your food makes me hungry. So I'm having veggie fajitas & vegan mac and cheese. I feel like same way about my phone. Love hate relationship.
So interesting. I agree with you and thought the Wilson analogy was gold. ❤. I’m also thinking we have a new kind of rich/poor separation that is growing. Like the snowball effect of the rich getting farther from the poor we have some kids growing up with big extended families, helping them work those social muscles and other kids growing up family poor. In a home with just a single parent that works a lot and no extended family. They will have a harder time managing this collective isolation. 🤯
Do you know of a vegan antibacterial soap? I recently learned that even hygiene products aren’t all vegan but I have ocd and need soap to say antibacterial but I can’t find one that says both antibacterial and vegan. Thank you
Your intro reminds me of old school sims games. It was my favorite because my mom thought it was like a human terrarium. Plus playing god was fun. No free will included with this purchase. Lol it was funny as a kid with free time I thought murdering my sims was hilarious. I have problems.
Something I thought was interesting with Castaway was when Tom Hanks loses that ball, maybe he could have acted it out with more emotion because his wife in real life is named Rita Wilson, and it became more personal in a symbolic way...? Just a thought
I agree that it seems like technology started taking over our lives once everyone started getting smartphones. One thing that can help is schools or basically any activities for kids can ban the use of phones.
Yes pls to more mukbangs! They’re my fave as well as the vlog style videos. Maybe you can add a vegan taste test within one of your upcoming mukbangs if there’s anything you have been wanting to try out :)
Lets flip the question around: Do you believe there is a way to end loneliness without abandoning phones and social media? If yes, what would be neccessary?
I think people are more disconnected from each other these days but I think the reason is because society has become so secular. They are filling that empty space where a relationship with God is meant to be with more and more technology and it never brings fun happiness.
Everyone would need to limit their time on social media but that comes down to an individual’s responsibility. At the end of the day having screen time is an addiction so it’s pretty hard for a lot of us to individually get it under control. Or maybe if most of the ads that pop up on our phones are for events in our community or events that friends created on Facebook, maybe that would get us interacting more. 🤔 I can’t really think of other solutions. There’s a saying something like ‘social media brings us together with people far away but separates us from the people sitting right next to us’ and it’s so true! 😢
Rose I totally agree with you about social media. Love hate relationship. My two granddaughters 14 and 15 since COVID isolation are finding it difficult being reintroduced to face to face socialization. The depression is real. I think social media has also produce many more bullies. I was bullied as a child (I'm a grand mother) but now people say things on social media that they would never say to someones face. Yes there were a few but now it is so much worse . They can hide behind the screen, gutless and say terrible things. My husband and I when we have the kids and grandkids request all phones and computer be off so we can actually talk and interact. But it is so hard to do. My children have a harder time than my grandchildren and great grandchildren. Board games sit in the corner collecting dust as they isolate and play games on the computer with their people one the computer (they say friends but as you said if you haven't really ever met them they are not really friends). And yes I love your "munching Mondays". I've missed them. Thank you, you are great.
My in laws live in Denmark, and even renting their own home they still have weekly communal dinners and each week someone different hosts in their communal group. You bring the host a gift that'll help make their space more hygge and then everyone bonds and just relaxes together.

Haven’t watched you in a while enjoyed the topic while I had a long drive😊
My office’s Starbucks had a Wilson pumpkin last week! Wild that this topic came up twice during the week, and that we need to use a weekly coffee run as an opportunity to talk to our coworkers for a few minutes 🥲
Vegan comfort food at its finest 😊
So yummy 😍

I agree with everything you said. Society is also shaped in a way where it’s more expensive to be social.
Love the mukbang! Even here in the US - multigenerational living was the norm, I think that is something we need to go back to … everyone benefits.❤
I love your new hair cut, so cute

Mother Nature has a way to sort that out!
All I know about Castaway is the volleyball
Correct me if I’m wrong, but the buldak sold in the states I believe is vegetarian but not vegan?
Im in Canada so not sure. Thre are also many kinds of buldak so you might’ve been looking at one with dairy in it
Yes that's correct. In the US in has eggs
@@bekahsparrowswhich ingredient in it has eggs? :0
Omg ı was waiting this 🥰
Woohoo❤

Read about the Manson Family, it ticked all the boxes which Rose mentioned to solve the loneliness issue. It's not a happy ending fyi ...
Your intro reminds me of old school sims games. It was my favorite because my mom thought it was like a human terrarium. Plus playing god was fun. No free will included with this purchase. Lol it was funny as a kid with free time I thought murdering my sims was hilarious. I have problems.
More muckbang pleaaaase!!!🎉🎉🎉
More coming❤

I ended up eating ramen while watching this, lol.
Hey not sure if this was intentional or not but you played your intro twice lol
LOL oops def not intentional 😅😅😅 sorry
Hahaha, np you so cute@@CheapLazyVegan
I agree that it seems like technology started taking over our lives once everyone started getting smartphones. One thing that can help is schools or basically any activities for kids can ban the use of phones.
Yeah too many kids using phones is scary to me!! They haven’t developed enough to be so addicted to technology!
Yes pls to more mukbangs! They’re my fave as well as the vlog style videos. Maybe you can add a vegan taste test within one of your upcoming mukbangs if there’s anything you have been wanting to try out :)
we used to get the vegan spicy samyang noodles over here in australia but now they have eggs and milk in them, rip.
I love your haircut

Kailash Ecovillage in Portland OR is a good intentional community model

No lol they’re not all vegan but some are and depends where you buy!
sign me up for the vegan commune plz!
Yeah, I hate how as an Asian we have so much pressure to take care of our parents
Are you okay? You looked a little overwhelmed at the end of the video.
Why you don’t burp in your mukbangs?
Because that’s not pleasant LOL I do burp but edit it out. No one needs to hear me burp 🤣🤣
@@CheapLazyVeganwe heard all your eating noises, the burps would be adorable lol

Wrong on every level why so much saddness and feeling alone.
