  • "I'm so happy. I'm happy with the people around me. I feel more moral than I was when I was 25. I feel less confused about how to be, and all of that is just because of taking in art and making it." -- Sheila Heti
Sheila Heti appeared at Toronto Reference Library's Appel Salon to discuss her new book, Pure Colour, with writer Souvankham Thammavongsa.

    This interviewer is so sweet

The schoolgirlish prattle of the interviewer who kept on reading haltingly from something only she could have written, puerile and directionless all the way, provided entertainment in a horrible sort of way. Ms Heti remained gracious.

You must not have watched the whole interview or you'd have noted that the interviewer was requested by Sheila, and is one of her favorite writers.
