The Type 10 is currently my only top tier tank and I got it all thanks to the Type 74G. I'm currently not done with the tech tree since I focused so much on tanks that my aircraft section is yet to catch up but we'll get there eventually.

It was quite an experience play with Japanese tanks until 6.7 and then get the Type 74G to complete the tree (my goal was just reach the Type 16 MCV); but honestly i'm happy to have bought it, as unique experience and moments gifted by the suspensions and the firepower. Thanks for your role old warrior, my TKX and Type 10 will be nothing without the grind we have suffered together🖤
I really wish they would have kept it at 8.7 so it'd have a better lineup. It works, but the Type 16 at 9.0 with gen 3 thermals and about the survivability feels better to play.
Oh ya for sure my lineup doesn't even run the early Type 74s anymore I run the 74 Kai and the two type 16s in my 9.0 lineup. In my opinion the Type 74s could probably even go down a little

Its not the only example where the best version of a vehicle type/family is a premium,(OF-40 MTCA, G-Lynx, Tiger II (H) Sla.16, AMX-30 Super, USS Helena, IJN Kiyoshimo, Rosomacha (wolverine) ... so on ) tough one of the older ones. Witch i can kind of understand from a marketing POV: If u like a specific vehicle and u want the best version of it; u have to buy it. But kind of makes the grinding of the tree (specially this tank's case) "meh" do to most other vehicles in its range only gonna serve as backups, or "placeholder" till u move on. Still has more than 20 free repairs left on mine (the pure gold average tank), do to the top Japanese tech three (specially air) is even less loved like the Italian, and really the Type 16 is the only what interests me from it; otherwise i still stuck on 6.7 with the Type 61.
I kinda doubt South Korean vehicles will be added to Japan. To the Korean and Japanese communities it seems like it is like if you added the T-84 Oplot to the USSR at the moment

Both are USA alies and make military exercises together with US and other Pacific USA alies. I think can be good for the game if they join this 2 countries. I have this Type 74G and used it a few times, but top tier and me do not work well together. I just can't snap shot that well and usually get picked off PDQ.

As I've read it was a historical change, the HEAT round when brought into service replaced the HESH round. The C I assume has both because the round came into service during it's lifetime, but all tanks past that wouldn't have used it.

Comparing accuracy is pointless because Gaijin isn't consistent themselves in regards to accuracy, intentionally or not. In this case I believe players reported the inaccuracy and Gaijin had no issue removing the HESH. In the case of the Type 16P as I understand it's for balance/BR rating and is not about historical accuracy.
@@matchstick21 My point is it is ridiculous that they nerf a vehicle for 'historical accuracy' by removing an ammo type that it can use and would be useful against one of their new busted premiums, and at the same time refuse to buff a vehicle thats already got a major downside compared to the other variant because they felt like it. After all the 16p loses the very useful composite armor and a top shell and doesn't even get s lower weight stat because Gaijin so the mobility isn't even better.

There is no such vehicle. But there exist a Type 16 with autoloader. Im not sure if it ever get off the drawing board but the reason it was canned for financial reason.

The next Japanese premium will decide how the tree goes, cuz as of rn, Japans WWII isnt doing great but their ability to outload and outrun anyone in the top echelons brings a lot of attention - if there is a cool ass pack like the type 16(fuji training regiment), or type 16 CCV(or whatever fitted with a 30mm) that is competent, sure it would bring a lot more interests
I dont think there is a 30mm version. It is the 40mm CT that got scraped, and that vehicle is intended to serve as both ifv and spaa, which got scraped or put on hold indefinitely.

They should have delayed the removal of the Type 74 (G), now if you want to grind Japan and get a premium vehicle the best option you've got is the Type 75 MLRS I mean, that's if you at least wanna grind to rank 6 where you start to get the good stuff but I wouldn't even entertain the idea of getting that thing, it's absolute shit.
I love the new reloading sounds, it has been the only change I like in a long time, now fix the silent engines when you're doing sound thins. Anyways Type 74G is mediocre like I don't know how to say it but it's a gun, that's it, other premiums are just better most of the time, but I still kinda like it for some reason and it's definitely better than the rest just for the better reverse. Still, I prefer the 74C since you can use the 8.0/8.3 lineups and not get stuck at premium spam hell or 10.0. And the replacement? I have no idea, Type 90/Type 10 prototype? like are we gonna get 10.7 premiums now or are they just gonna be 10.0 like the Leo and have literally no lineup at 10.0? and while we're at it could Japan please get a proper top-tier spaa? All I want is Type 10 to be fixed. Patch the armor hole (im not asking for a buff) with improvement to general maneuverability and mobility characteristic to an acceptable level. At least one Type 90 prototype will look visually different form type 90. Iirc there are 2 different batch. I suspect they will have no armor ingame, and a cap on ammo it get. Irl, they should get about the same armor as the production and dm33. One of the batch offer Japanese self build gun and ammo with reportedly insane characteristic. I never seems to find more than a couple of burly images and hearsay. Gayjiggle will work their magic and make this the premium? Prototype Type 10 is will be practically the same vehicle as whatever we already have in game. But I think gayjiggle will make a Type 10 with no armor and put it after Type 16. Tbh, I think it is fine. It is not like everything already slice straight through type 10 in game anyways. With 4 tons gone, it will slightly more responsive and faster. There is a Type 90 turret Type 10 hull prototype purely for testing the suspension. Im not even sure if the turret is functional but gayjiggle can work their magic and make it work. Then beyond all that, there is assist loader STB, the autoloader STB, Type 74 suspension test bed (similar to the type 90 + type 10 thing), autoloader type 16 105 (im not sure if this goes beyond paper), Type 16 40mm (with/out radar). Then there is this bling up Type 10 (claimed to the full 48ton+ version) with rws, side turret armor, lower front and side hull armor, and aps. And there is a testing dart that is more powerful than Type 10, most likely overloaded and overbuild for testing purposes, not suited for actual service. But this gayjiggland, they can work their magic.
Adding onto what you said, Japan also still lacks any capability in the CAS department. I understand that the JDAMs were never used by the EJs, but the F-1 and T-2 carried JM117-GCS and Mk.82-GCS guided bombs, so where are those?
Fields of Normandy needs to be removed from the game. It is so infuriating to play, and you’re shit out of luck if you spawn on the left side of the map.
Now show why Japan top tier is unplayable since they have no aa. Yet you and everybody keeps saying poor Italy this poor Italy that. At least they have a chance and can compete to where Japan only has 3 klick aa from 9.0 and up. As soon as a plane or aa shows up at 10. anything is back to the hangar for you Japanese faction.
That argument is understandable and Japan should definitely get better SAM systems one day, but Japan isn’t totally unplayable at top tier. I can usually score at least 6 kills in my Type 10 and then hop in my EJ Kai to play air defense, as it’s the best option Japan has rn. All minor nations just suffer heavily.

If you raise the suspension all the way up you get slightly better maneuverability on all terrain.
It really helps to accelerate faster in the Vietnam map since your bottom wouldn't be touching water as much as lower tanks 👍

They should have delayed the removal of the Type 74 (G), now if you want to grind Japan and get a premium vehicle the best option you've got is the Type 75 MLRS I mean, that's if you at least wanna grind to rank 6 where you start to get the good stuff but I wouldn't even entertain the idea of getting that thing, it's absolute shit.

I love the new reloading sounds, it has been the only change I like in a long time, now fix the silent engines when you're doing sound thins. Anyways Type 74G is mediocre like I don't know how to say it but it's a gun, that's it, other premiums are just better most of the time, but I still kinda like it for some reason and it's definitely better than the rest just for the better reverse. Still, I prefer the 74C since you can use the 8.0/8.3 lineups and not get stuck at premium spam hell or 10.0. And the replacement? I have no idea, Type 90/Type 10 prototype? like are we gonna get 10.7 premiums now or are they just gonna be 10.0 like the Leo and have literally no lineup at 10.0? and while we're at it could Japan please get a proper top-tier spaa? Sorry for the not so finished and definitely not whole rant.
All I want is Type 10 to be fixed. Patch the armor hole (im not asking for a buff) with improvement to general maneuverability and mobility characteristic to an acceptable level.
At least one Type 90 prototype will look visually different form type 90. Iirc there are 2 different batch. I suspect they will have no armor ingame, and a cap on ammo it get. Irl, they should get about the same armor as the production and dm33.
One of the batch offer Japanese self build gun and ammo with reportedly insane characteristic. I never seems to find more than a couple of burly images and hearsay. Gayjiggle will work their magic and make this the premium?
Prototype Type 10 is will be practically the same vehicle as whatever we already have in game. But I think gayjiggle will make a Type 10 with no armor and put it after Type 16. Tbh, I think it is fine. It is not like everything already slice straight through type 10 in game anyways. With 4 tons gone, it will slightly more responsive and faster.
There is a Type 90 turret Type 10 hull prototype purely for testing the suspension. Im not even sure if the turret is functional but gayjiggle can work their magic and make it work.
Then beyond all that, there is assist loader STB, the autoloader STB, Type 74 suspension test bed (similar to the type 90 + type 10 thing), autoloader type 16 105 (im not sure if this goes beyond paper), Type 16 40mm (with/out radar).
Then there is this bling up Type 10 (claimed to the full 48ton+ version) with rws, side turret armor, lower front and side hull armor, and aps. And there is a testing dart that is more powerful than Type 10, most likely overloaded and overbuild for testing purposes, not suited for actual service. But this gayjiggland, they can work their magic.
Adding onto what you said, Japan also still lacks any capability in the CAS department. I understand that the JDAMs were never used by the EJs, but the F-1 and T-2 carried JM117-GCS and Mk.82-GCS guided bombs, so where are those?

That argument is understandable and Japan should definitely get better SAM systems one day, but Japan isn’t totally unplayable at top tier. I can usually score at least 6 kills in my Type 10 and then hop in my EJ Kai to play air defense, as it’s the best option Japan has rn. All minor nations just suffer heavily.
