This is why I love Hopsin XD
he's the only real rapper alive man
+Westendbuddah yeah man he really exposes the illuminati !
Hotcheese bruh its a joke
+Hotcheese I know man hopsin blows fetty wap & future are the best rappers ever the first time I heard their songs was when I had a gun in my mouth and I was going to kill myself but then a future song came on and I knew that I now had something to live for
Hotcheese Go back to listening to drake :)
when he went "AYE DAT SHIT WAS HARD BRUH!" I fell off my chair laughing listing to no words
When?
Oh nevermind.
LiftBro listening*
Hopsin is a breath of fresh air! Not just as a dope artist but as an authentic person who can think for himself and who isn't afraid to share his point of view. And let the fact that he's now a multi millionaire and independent serve as a reminder that you can be yourself, make music from the heart and make a really good living doing it! Great interview! and much respect! :) - Cole Mize
nope
+ColeMizeStudios Dude, I have to fully agree with you on that. When Hops first came out I looked at him as nothing more than an Eminem clone but he has really came into his own now and I have way more respect for him.
+ColeMizeStudios idk if cole mize is trolling or not
Rebel XD Yeah man he has a lot of substance and isn't afraid to be his own person and create his own lane. He's got my respect as well! That Fly Away track was the first song I seen from him and I been hooked ever since :)
skeeeeeta lol naa I don't have any time to be trolling people. Just wanted to show love and support for an artist I've got a lot of respect for :)
Maaaaaan...... mad kudos to the homie Hopsin, for making that "no words" video. I absolutely DESPISE trap music, it's the same redundant, recycled, and repetitive beat, with the same regurgitated lyrics. How could people listen to that ish all day??
Completely agree
+richard wittenmyer thank you Richard.
BoyBlaze2002 it's striving
Agreed!! That shits corny as fuck
I feel like he's going after Migos and Future with this one...
+Yardie Noh no shit
Sound like some Young Thug shit to me. Cause Future's voice is deeper than that
Migos?!???! How?
Rae shremmerd
+Intelega cause they say no fucking word , migos are ass
If biggie, tupac, were still alive till this day they wouldve said the same thing
+Chris J If Tupac were still alive and Eminem didn't leave the rap game, then this type of music would never have even existed in the first place (I dont give a shit about Biggie)
why do people always say this? they've both been dead for 15+ years neither you nor anybody else knows what they would or wouldn't like. don't put words in their mouths.
+HumbleFishStix facts. Acting like there isn't countless other legends right now still alive. But only biggie and pac would have Wayne working in mcdonalds right?
No they would not have said the same thing, they would have not let it happen in the first place.
+Weeneen Ala'hadouanan you fucking keyboard warrior, you don't know shit
I'd like to have a beer with this guy an talk music with him. Seems like a genuine dude who's got a lot of things to talk about
hopsin doesn't drink stupid
Does he drink smart?
+Octo Gone socially
Lol but just 2 minutes ago you said he didn't drink.
On a scale of 1 to yes how high are you?
Thats why its called "Trap Music"... its a trap
"I'm a multi-millionaire now." Usually that line would make me hate someone, but the fact that Hopsin said it and especially the context he said it in, it makes me happy. I knew this dude was finally doing okay for himself but you always wonder just how much these dudes are making for all the hard work they put in. If anyone in the music industry deserves it it's Hopsin. Realest guy in the game.
Thank God I thought I was the only one this guy is telling the truth
hopsin, hiphop is evolving and trap rappers like future have talent. it's sad you don't see it.
+Prins Friso trap music is not hiphop
But theres a difference between talent and potential. They could be good, sure, if they sat down and thought about something long enough to write a good verse. But they dont, theyre in it for money, not the love of hip hop. So they continue to mumble over a hard beat
+Caught Speechless Listen to DS2, Future has multiple clever lines, they are not punchlines but things like: i bought a new whip, like i'm a slave master. these type of lines are all over his verses
He gives me hope in the rap community
Warning: This Comment Section will include Tyler, The Creator fans who are trying to diss Hopsin, You've been warned.
+Sk-Generations I'm a Tyler AND Hopsin fan and I think Hopsin can be cringeworthy at times.
Because Tyler is a satanist and he isnt.
I like them both?
Tyler the creator has fans?
@@musashi4828 lol hopsin has more fans than Tyler.
he should do a whole interview as Hash Brown haha
Josh Duncan speaking into a autotune mic
People call hopsin corny for being a real fucking person.
Dude for real
of course you are whit3
+Bonafide hospin fanbase
Black people dont like hopsin your right. He is too smart. No tattoos, doesnt sip lean, and talks like a person not a animal from rescued from the village people.
+MrThomasbeamon i didn't say black people dont like hopsin....now you are exposing yourself
HOPSIN IS CALLING U OUT FUTURE!!!
Jeremy Bags and young thug
and guess what they wont do shit about it, because they are scared of him
who gives one fuck you cant understand what the fuck he is saying
future???? nigga this ain't 2014 lol he's calling out all the gay fakers that have blown up from nowhere the past year or 2, like lil yachty & friends - all their voices are terrible and flow is garbage not to mention there's no meaning behind any song and the lyrics were probably written in 1 hour.
Jeremy Bags future isn't creative enough to diss him.
From 9:46 - 10:00 Hopsin was dying to start venting
True. Love it
That literally hurt to watch hooooly
I held my breath listening to this poor dude try to get his words out 😂 I hateeee that!!! When people don't finish sentences and talk forever ugh! Annoying
That's why I wish us producers got more credit. We the ones keeping these whack ass rappers alive.
Real Talk bro
Lmao true i even try to tell people this. These big name rappers today have no fucking talent. Its all the producers.
You are the man Hopsin. You have created so many good songs, brother. Keep making real music and turning the rap scene on its head. You're a brilliant artist. Looking forward to your next album.
I always love watching hopsin interviews. He seems so down to earth and actually has a conversation with the interviewer.
"I miss the old days where there were rappers actually rapping"
thank u for this HOPSIN hard ass fuk original respect to da lil homie
9:42-10:04 Jesus let a nigga speak
Young Ceaser yo I'm dead😂😂
That "no words" go so hard! I heard it at the club last night!
As a cat from Texas that Understands TRUE HIP HOP & what it means to culture, I personally appreciate the fact that you told the truth about the severe lack of talent on the part of the so called "rappers" of today. Keep doin' YOU RAP WARRIOR! Peace & Respect!
hopsin is one of the most humble rappers idk about yall but he speaks truth
Here's the thing that people who aren't in the streets don't understand; when you're in a certain environment and in a certain element; the beat is all that really matters; these guys are really in and out of trap houses all day etc. Also; people come from all walks of life; some people just work with what they have and unfortunately aren't as heavily equipped with a vocabulary as others and they just work off life experiences when it comes to expressing themselves. Not saying it's "right or wrong" per se; it's just the same as with anything else; understanding another person's perspective can change your own outlook on things.
hopsin actually smart. fuck all the mumble rappers "no words" sounds exactly like these rappers music made a great point
higherthan u sit down bitch be humble
I very much find Hopsin admirable, because he brings realism to rap. Not just stupid, though he does have music purposely to mimic idiot artists, but I listen to all of them the same. Most is skillful and thought through, I like when an artist actually puts work into their art.
Seems like a straight up down to earth guy who you actually have proper discussions with, I like that, this guys real for sure. Not like all the others always tryna look tough and be hard as if they run the world
Hopsin and Eminem really need to do a rap together I mean who else would listen to it?
Anyone who's Hating on hopsin for this obviously does NOT understand Real Music. Hopsin is not saying he's the best Artist,
and he doesn't have to be a lyrical genius in order to make this very Valid point. If you don't believe in what he is saying then your are already brain washed in Garbage music along
with the rest of them. It takes good lyrics and the beat don't even have to be catchy but at least have good flow with the voice and most importantly have meaning.
these days all the "Trap" music on the radio or out in general, their lyrics aren't even Decent!! and the only meaning they do have is to get high and F*cked up..... It just makes you want to ask the producer or label who signed them how in the hell, and why in the world
did you sign this artist?!?!?! Anyone else agree?????? Music isn't even real anymore it's all about Money. Fame doesn't even have much meaning anymore.....
+Calvin Odom yung thug sucks?oh I agree
+Calvin Odom I see lots of people just like you, and you guys have one thing i common and that is talking garbage about him without dropping one single reason, though or argument.
I agree.
+RYDLER First of all, what is the definition of 'Real music'?
Secondly, since when do songs need lyrical meaning?
Furthermore, why do you think people that disagree with you are brainwashed, or do not understand music?
It seems like you have a really narrow view on music.
DonMega1313 Thank you donmega lol I'm saying yes your lyrics should be good, but you don't have to be an extremely talented artist to understand what Real Music is in order to make this point. Yes today's rap is awful but not all of it, only the rap you hear on the radio is for some reason. there is many hiddne artist out there that people don't know about that are better than the garbage we hear on the radio
Hopsin almost died at 10:10 - 10:23
Holy shit Hopsin says what's been on my mind with trap music for a while
Thank you, very well said
He needs to realise that a lot of the people that call him corny and preachy aren't "haters" me included, he seems like a charming nice individual and he has nice flow. A lot of people I know recognize this, however, he's a very basic lyricist and stuffs your mouth hole with really basic 'deep' messages and goes about as deep into his content as a buzzfeed article.
He's just someone who really wants to be a leading figure, but fails ultimately because he doesn't have anything of value to say.
"Did the guy who invented college, go to college, hmmm... no"
-hopsin
ok Mr. Jones
Yandere :P
Right not haters...but he has blown up and the attempts to tear him down all because he isn't owned by a major label. Hop has talented and I wish people would see it. Also hip hop fans and some blacks need to redefine corny.
Maurice Fleshman It's neither blacks nor hip hop that define him as corny or make up the definition ... lol ... It's the same for all genre's and groups and he's super corny
MrBimbles SonofDimbles They say the same thing about Macklemore. I'm sorry but the hip.hop community confuses me Sometiems with this bias.
I mean the community called Kendrick corny and stupid but jump on his dick with to pimp a butterfly.
We did the same to Macklemore and he has pretty much brought back comedy rap.
Also corny comes off vague and no one ever explains it. You just say corny and be like, "Yeah man this nigga weak."
When majority of people will buy a hip hop album and skip through majority of the songs if it isn't grabbing them. Jesus I never heard such a vague community in my life. You guys need to redefine it. Hop.isn't perfect but I feel the term is thrown out from people who are butthurt that their type of hip hop.
I'm not going to lie, while listening to that song, I thought he was going to borrow a line from "Trading Places"
Y'all know it...
"Boo-bwele-boo-bwele-boo-bwele-ah-HA! Boo-bwele-boo-bwele-boo-bwele-ah-HA!"
Lmao
perfect breakdown of today crap rap.
TheRossini72 you every body to be lyrical why talk shit if you don't like it ignore it it's not like all rappers making feel good music, there are plenty of rappers who make lyrical music
legittherunner who then? Practically hopsin is the one who speaks real shit, you probably can't name anyone else who speaks real shit and you can understand what they're saying, you can't use biggie, tupac, nas, or any old rappers... I only want todays people alright?
I don't want Jay Z or Kanye... they only speak about money, drugs, and hoes..
Nasty Pasta 754 Montana of 300
legittherunner ok, lets have a listen...
Another great Hops in interview!!! What I think is fucked upthough is that RUclips had 2 or 3 ads running thru this video promoting the bullshit type rap that Hopsin did in his parody. That's okay. He's STILL the man. Peace
Heres the thing, theres no problem with any type of music listen to whatever the fuck you want to listen. The problem lies with idiots calling the people rapping "talented" or "dope".
Hopsin, Immortal Technique and Akala - - imagine that tour!
Now that would be spectacular.
good interview horrible album :(
I actually thought the same thing until I heard to Fort Collins, and Mr. Jones.
MultiMrCookieMonster I really dig forever ill. Chrous is a little ehh but bars are hard.
"FV THE VOLTRON CREW, WE GONE ROLL ON YOU" Voltron reference brings me back lol.
+Cameron Kinney i'm a hop fan i like the album but the chorus' are awful and i do still like the album, but its not as good as raw or knock madness
Thomas Bellardine raw was his best work and I really liked knock madness but I didn't like this at all
+Thomas Bellardine knock madness sucks. it was way to emotional he even said he regrets the album bc he made it while depressed and not a clear mind
the thing is.. this dude cannot make a bad rap song so "no words" was fucking awesome . and the video is just as good. hilarious and talented . he couldn't make a shit rap song if he tried. he's not OJ da juice man
Love the interview.
This is awesome! The interviewer really brings out the best in the artists!
hes true on that if your not an artist you don't know as much they just have good production techno autotune and they don't say shit if 21 savage dissed me I wouldn't even have to say shit to him
i actually like young thug, migos, future, johnny cinco, asap mob, gucci mane, sometimes fetty wap etc. - BUT, they were all around at least 4 years before these new-gen. copycats started blowing up out of nowhere, all they are looking for is popularity and bragging rights, they don't have anything of substance or talent behind their music, they see something that worked and try to duplicate it in the hope they will also become popular...
I actually don't see how people can like these new losers with no passion for music, their passion is for bragging rights, i personally think lil yatchy & friends' voices are terrible and even with autotune sound inharmonious, their lyrics are rubbish that could be written in 25mins and due to the dull and boring tone of voice a 'flow' is basically non-existent to my ears.
i used to listen to all the gangster rap and old-school hip-hop until i was about 22 then i realized life is too short to take everything so seriously, some music just makes you feel good and gives you energy instead of pessimism like 90's rap seemed to be doing....
so i guess i've just contradicted myself by saying new 'rappers' sound like garbage yet people are listening to them (even though i literally can't stand 5 seconds) and they may in fact find something that will help them stay positive and give them energy, although i do think most fans of these new 'rappers' are just getting brainwashed and taking the songs literally instead of musically and also trying to imitate their way of living - which means they are becoming greedy, arrogant and less concerned about being educated because "who cares about being smart when you can make noises and become rich", so that's the negative i see.
engineers deserve all the credit
what hopsin and a bunch of "real hip-hop" fans don't understand is that there's space for everything.
+Rahim X ahhhh
hopsin undertands dumb ass, theres no SPACE NONE ZERO IN HIP HOP, Mc shot spit bars, turn up music, angry, sad, story tellin, but in rap its just garbage I like "music" Art not shit
***** exactly lol
+Rahim X I agree 100 %. Even though i'm not a fan of trap and most mainstream that doesn't mean there isn't a place for it
+Ben Smith Indeed. For example, the club.
i feel you hopsin that's why i slowly gravitated towards Heavy Metal & Rock
Dantae Rojas Heavy metal is garbage too
Pix LOL no depending on what you listen i don't listen to that shit with screaming about evil and satanic shit
Same here
Hop Sin, one of my favorite underground rappers of all time, speak the truth!
He went on a straight ye- spree 9:45
Huskiethadoge im deead😂😂😂😂
TI is the king of Trap Music and he actually raps on Beat so you can't hate Trap Music but now in days for Trap Music it does sound like that
gucci mane is king of trap.
+Isaiah Guzman so is 2 chainz
Isaiah Guzman free guwop
naw young jeezy facts
free minds jeezy too
I can't get how people can just dismiss an entire genre. Kendrick's Allright is technically a trap beat and the song is dope and contains a message. I do agree that those people who cant even say words normally aren't for me. However, if some like it, who am I to tell them they can't?
Alright doesnt have a trap beat
Michiel Prak alright isn't a trap beat at all, if anything its hiphop with jazz
Michiel Prak lol
jfraz1992 Well obviously theres a lot of jazz in it as well. Should have specified I was reffering to the drums only (especially the Hi Hat). Not every trap record has all the quirky sounds and trap is known for upbeat drums. So it takes influence from trap, but isnt a trap beat entirely. More a jazz+hiphop+trap hybrid.
So it's technically not a trap beat
hopsin is a smart dude and a genuine artist, rap needs more hopsins
Thats why you take FIRE trap beats, with FIRE lyrics and FLOW, and you take over all rap music
just like any ART FORM it takes SKILL. even if it is just "rap" or "hip hop". what if museums had a bunch of lazy ass painters throwing paint on the wall calling it a "masterpiece"? what if musicians just played instruments out of tune/rythm/flow? alot of rap fans are just plain stupid and dont appreciate good solid quality work. no disrespect. Hopsin is right. to each is own. if u wanna be stupid go ahead and follow the herd off the cliff. peace. one. much love.
....and thats probably why rap and hip hop doesnt get the genuine respect it deserves. it seems like rap,hip hop, and all the elements of our culture is used as a "marketing" tool for the "commercial" companys that dont truely give a shit about regular people really living this hip hop culture daily out here in the streets. dont look like a sucker. peace. one. much love.
+Benjamin Caudillo you realize some artists do throw paint at a wall and make money from it right? You ever been to an art museum?
+FunzieOne just like trap music. Sure they call it art and sell it for millions, but no one understands it and most people think its plain stupid, outside of the art community.
I don't think you understand that people do toss paint and sell it for a shit ton
+Benjamin Caudillo In a way, they do. In art, some have expressionism. Others, Kitsch. And even others Dada.(Search 'Dada art' and you'll see what I mean) And surrealism, formalist, or post-modernist art.
Not so much 'lazy' but, out of the wide-known aspects of that art form. Not lifting up trap music at all but, some people do enjoy it for the hype but also, some enjoy it in relation to their lifestyle or like it because it is acknowledged as a romanticize presentation of gang life. It really depends on the context in which the audience listening are gravitating towards it and why.
But yeah. I dunno about 'masterpiece' like art but, yeah. Historical context play a huge role between a Jackson Pollock painting worth millions of dollars and a splash of paint. Search him on google too and you'll see what I am and why his art (when you see it) is worth MILLIONS. And not just 1 or 2 million either.
I would even say that its necessarily lazy. I just think that it gets people hype and widely our audience today are big fans of hype music and others like it because its relative to them. Artists maybe lazy? Maybe. Producer lazy? Probably not. Good hype music for young audience? Probably so.
if eminem and hopsin made a song they would be unstopable
Fetty wap sounds like a dying whale...
Fucking twelve year olds should lose the privilege of accessing youtube.
Juice it Up Bruh you literally have no fucking humor. I was simply repeating the lyrics to a song of his and just slowing it a bit. To much for you to handle? Than I suggest you get off your laptop and chill. This is why nobody commented because you have no humor. Oh and I'm 13 turning 14 so say something that fits me K?
Juice it Up Humorless people like you are salty as always.
Juice it Up Your names juice it up but you have no damn juice at all. We can see that in your profile picture too.
God you need to chill the fuck out
Shoutout to Hopsin for keeping it real 💯
This guy is just being true to himself speaking like a true artist ,keep doing you
He just can't stand that people enjoy rap that isn't always lyrical. And Hopsin not even that good. I can't listen to Killer Mike and Ab Soul all the time, sometimes you need Future and Young Thug.
He even says he jams out to party music like that cuz it's fun sometimes but he also thinks it's important to note that it requires very little talent.
+westsideaquariums for real all it requires is energy, a southern accent, and a talented producer. but it's enjoyable music regardless
Yeah like I like all of funk volume, there real and serious songs as well as their crazy/fun whack songs but I also can jam to lil Wayne and also that party music and such, not that I agree with all of their messages and what they say but they have funny one liners and enjoy themselves and the people who just make trap music... It's just fun whatever.... But I think serious, real rap like what hopsin AND MANY OTHERS promote has more of an important place as a result of what it stands for and the time and dedication required to make it.
+Nigel Cooper You NEVER need future and young thug. Ever.
+itschamesbitch Future and Young Thug make good party jams. I workout to their music and play it at parties, it's hype music
Real rappers like j Cole people should listen too
Nigrum Romanum yeah my favourite are j Cole, Boosie, Kodak, hopsin, and probably Kendrick
Momo Kobe Kodak 💯 keep it 1k #FREEKODAKBLACK
MR. Z ain't he free
Nigrum Romanum He finished his sentence for marijuana. But on Monday he was transferred to a different prison where he is waiting to see if he will be convicted for sexual battery.
Momo Kobe Kodak is fucking trash
The 808 Drum Kit was never meant to be the only tool of hip hop. The record companies push this shit. If you make music based on Jazz or Blues melody and drums outside the " Trap Sound" you better be ready for the sound of crickets because niggaz aint trying to hear variety right now. At the end of the day you can say you gonna be this pure artist and all that until you aint mf eating then you go figure out what people want. All of life is a compromise between elements we don't want and elements we want,, music is no different. How is trap any different than everyone liking the popular dumb ass kid in high school. Later on that kid becomes a f... loser and the Nerd gets the bomb ass woman and the 7 figure job. Trap will evolve because there are plenty of Nerds that produce in that genre and europe has evolved the trap to a club sound. Also jazz and blues and rock will be re-introduced. Lets not forget Trip hop. Its all there,, just need the ears of the public to catch up.
..................not true on both counts
Geez at about 9:30 the guy is just towering over him, he keeps trying to say yeah xD
keep up the great work hopsin. im rooting for u
idk if hopsin can speak on someones else beats when not all of his beats sound good, he needs to work with other producers
you didn't pay attention.
+TheGatinor first thing my sound design professor taught us is that vocals are the most important part of a song. the vocals are basically the song and the beat is what gives it power.
as a producer myself, I know that any "good" producer should take a lot of time with vocals and lyrics the same way he would with every other instrument if not more so.
so this excuse that its a dope beat is null. dope beats are easy, it's making that beat give power to a message that's hard.
DJ Hoppa maladroit most of his badass beats, but he produced some corny beats, even tho I like hopsin😂😂😂
+TacticalGamer made most of*
So he dissed autotune and trap and his newest song "false advertising" is a trap song where he sings with autotune
he said overusing autotune, getcha shit straight brvh
What he tried to say more is that people say lyrics that don't make sense.
he often uses autotune for hooks. he's dissing people who"depend" on autotune
Another parody.
Hence the name...
Hopsin my g, this shit aint new. It aint the first time in music that you cant understand wtf the artist is saying. Its been done in rock, funk, blues, psychedelic, and all kinds of genres. The music thats popping is the one that feels good in your ears, not the one that is more lyricaly sophisticated. Thats cause people want to feel relaxed or turnt most of the time, i you cant relax to some socially aware shit
why does nobody understand you can have the best of both worlds
+BitchBettaHaveMyMoney This mentality is what is wrong with the rap community.
+Some BlackGuy explain why it is wrong
It's coming from people with a minimal talent. I personally like a good beat but I'd rather just listen to the instrumental which took some effort on the producers part than a talentless hack talk in robot voice over them. Yeah it's all Opinion but as hopsin has already pointed out It's easy to do and the drones flock to these people rather than good rappers with Skills to actually rhyme words, or Devines forbid make them think. It creates a watered down and boring genre.
Some BlackGuy
yes but a hard instrumental gets boring after 2-3 minutes. future, thug and whoever makes trap shit job is that, make some sounds to make the shit sound"diverse" which works. It aint that i dont agree, i just can appreciate the sound of these rappers. And here i am defending trap shit while listening to lotug. Im a lowkey hypocrite
This is a really good quick interview.
Lol it got me at the end! Haha I was like
Yo this shit still go hard though
I was just introduced to trap "music" about a month ago. my new gf listens to it. It's terrible to me. I've always hated country music but i'd really rather listen to country than what this "trap music" shit is. The main song that comes to mind is that shit by Kevin Gates "Hard for", and that's prolly "light trap music". I subjected myself to about 45 mins of trap music tonight to see if i could make myself like it. what I realized is that it's just garbage. I hate it and lost respect for my gf's opinion. someone she was with before me has seriously misguided her about what music is. If you like trap music, here's a big fuck off to you, cuz it absolutely sucks, and that's the truth of the matter. if u disagree, go tell ur friends about it in ur 8th grade art class. i'll be glad in a few years when this shit's obsolete....oh wait, it already is unless ur an easily manipulated female and some meth-head convinced you that "trap music" is cool. gfto here with that shit. #truth
F*ckin preach
I think the beat and it's something I'd play while doing something I might need motivation for
Joseph Dodd lol u mad
didnt hopsin lose to super hot fire
fat rat tap that cat.
slap back rack mack.....quack
Maaaaaaaan that shit went hard.
NightEye you went to krembrook....thats a private school
I'm a fan of the idea of Drake.
"what do you mean by the idea of Drake?"
Bruh :D
+EpicKnuxYT what I think he means is he would listen to Drake if he wasn't a little bitch and wrote his own music
+Tre G. No that's what the interviewer said when he said I'm a fan of the idea of Drake and he said what do you mean. That's what I was quoting.
That's a dumb comment
I was unaware that he had made it and is living well, he deserves it. by far one of the best rappers who has ever existed. I hope he continues to be successful in whatever he does.
People are getting confused so let me help. People aren't complaining that there are club bangers and trap music. They're complaining because there is ENTIRELY too much of it on the radio right now. It's to the point where the lyrically talented are being put second in terms of popularity.
No. Blame the fans. The radio wouldn't be playing it if the fans didn't want it. I don't think stations are staying on air by playing songs people asked them not to play. Nor are these artists outselling each other because the radio bought more of ones album. The radio doesn't support itself.
+AJ!zzL3D really its both parties at fault
He seems like a pretty chill dude in this interview, but his music comes off as super douchey and pretentious.
+Chris Ferguson stage persona every performing artist has one.
+Chris Ferguson agree
I like hopsin and trap music. It's fine. I don't have to hate trap because Hopsin is not into it because I am not Hopsin and I too have a fucking brain of my own!
i swear desiigner stole the whole sound of flow of this song
I have hard time listening to Desiigner lyrics
Hopsin is a genius !!! He's so on point with this lol. Rap has really has gone down since back in the mid 80s to late 90s.
you are white
Great interviewer. I really did find myself relating to what they were discussing.
FVCK TRAP
no one cares about the lyrics in dancehall though. just saying lol
lol he's so proud of that mediocre joke, like he's the first one to diss trap music
Excellent, well spoken video
The guy's underrated man...Hopsin is a Beast
My and my hoomies always be high talking about rap, and i always be tellin them, hopsin the biggest cry baby in hip hop
Hes corny
what's a hes?
daryl dixon Are you mad?
he dresses like an 06' nigga
+Jose MA Corny because he disses all your favorite artists for being talentless retards?
+Tony G And I use the term artist loosely
hopsin aint shit. Capital STEEZ is way better.
you do know that capital steez is dead right?
+Moo Man hopsin aint shit. capital steez was* better.
+GsQ Chaos.♋ if you still think its a joke your third eye vision is broke
+Mad Zen In a way he is correct because his music is till here isn't it? I like both btw
+GsQ Chaos.♋ anyone is better than Hopsin lol
Yooooo that was funny afffffff 😂
They have no talent? I disagree. They don't have great lyrics but they DO have charisma though. If a rapper with no lyrics and a lot of charisma makes you wack, then a rapper with lyrics but no charisma is wack too. I fuck with hopsin though. Even though his hooks are always below par.
The charisma you speak of is more like "SWAG"! And swag ain't really talent! True rap or hip hop was originally about lyrical skill! That's talent! These niggas have no lyrical skill therefore no talent these days!
+trple5 and this swag ypu're talking about isn't charisma?
no the true nature of hip going all the way back to the seventies is and always was about puttingvthe nettle to the wax and hearing good lyrics over dope beats I don't know how old you are but you rally can't see karisma on a song but you can hear true talent when a song is played nowadays the corporate entities that control the game get people with signing relentless rappers with unintelligible lyrics over autotune played repetitiously ever and over again and people mistake is for being good music it ain't got a shit to do with charisma
So charisma isn't a skill?
+Bryan Thomas no story telling and metaphors in the Cadence of your flow
the beats are music too juss sayin.....
Oh a rapper with a majority white fanbase insults trap. Man. SO unexpected.
+Care Bear Zach Yeah your sarcasm is funny af. ( sarcasm ).
+Alaz I was trying to be funny? Tf
I dont see the point youre trying to make. You have any actual physical data that shows the complexion of all his fans? Or you just pulled that out of your ass? Second, what does his fanbase have to do with what he said? HE is black. He doesnt like trap music. I am white. I also dont like trap music. My friend is Vietnamese. He likes trap music. Skin color is completely irrelevant.
Caught Speechless
All you have to do is look at his instagram. Trust me. You're getting butthurt for no reason. I'm actually a fan of Hopsin, but that doesn't change that this didn't surprise me, and that doesn't change the fact the majority of his fans are white (as am I). You really give more fucks about my own opinion than I do.
Look at Greg. Putting black people down.
Thinking only Whitey can understand music that ain't shit.
Klearly a Klansmen
Salute lil bro.
bruh this is why i like hopsin, iv been saying the same shit before i even knew who he was
Idc young thug still cranks
I wanna like this dude but he tries to be so deep and he's corny af
Ok Mr Jones.
What you gotta say now Mr. Jones?
Hmm Mr. Jones?
Cringe worthy replies from "real" hip hop fans as expected
lord ci$co Actually, none of us claimed we were "real" hip hop fans. As if that would matter anyways... Don't be so butthurt.
Yo Hopsin your music tells the truth and forget all these nigga what they say just be proud what you do and you already know that
Hopsin is awesome, I love his music because it really makes you think.
that's what I was thinking at the end !
he got me
I can't understand why Hopsin isn't bigger as an artist then he is at the moment.
