Hello Crafty Friends,
The materials and supplies I used today:
Magazine pages ripped into strips (approximately ½” strips), mod podge in a quarter log cabin quilting pattern, white gesso was applied where the magazine pieces meet with a paint brush, my finger and a baby wipe.

I’ve never worked with magazines just because of the shine, not thinking I could use gesso to mute it. I usually get my mod podge at Walmart just because I can get the large bottles for a little less than the small ones at the dollar tree. I really like these strips and it makes a fabulous master board. Such interesting detail. The weaving was neat too but could be bulkier and depending what it was for I wouldn’t want the bulk. I like the idea of tags on this one because the design reminds me of tags or pockets even. I also like the idea of maybe similar master boards and use one as a cover and the other for coordinating embellishments.

Yes, the magazine pages are thin and glossy, the gesso does tone the gloss down. Thank you for all your feedback, I love it!
