- Alpina B7 got new paint! We went with a stunning individual Azurite Black metallic paint! In this episode, we go over the new paint, install a brand new supercharger from Alpina and some other goodies, service the ZF 6HP26 transmission with new solenoids, bushings and valve body plate, and then we hit the Autobahn.

Polish quality of painting is on the really high level, i'm proud that you sent Alpina to my country! 💪🇵🇱
Siemanko 😉🇵🇱
@@caio2306 Cześć, pozdrawiam 👊
Teraz czekamy jeszcze na to co pokaże Top Mar. 🇵🇱 🙂 Pozdro! 🤚🏻
Siemanko :)
Excellent choice of paint too. It looks infinitely better than the previous one.
it is amazing that Alpina CEO reached to you and helped with the project.Thats something big!
Should've reached out when he was rebuilding the engine :D
Instead they gave him the finger :D
@@zvonimirkljajic4473 Alpina changed their mind, a bit late but they realized it deserves entierly. In the future i’m sure they will be more open with help. Just love it
If the block would been rebuilded by Alpina, and dont leave it as a bmw stock,, Sreten wouldn't have this problem make it work. The shiet exploded and Alpina trys desperately to clean up its name.
@@Mykl225 thing is that they don't give a fuck when it's someone who does not have a huge following
The old supercharger was probably another timebomb and they didnt want it to blow up in a video with 600k views after all Sreten's effort. Just my 2c.
I always laugh at how Sreten gives us advice and torque settings for things that literally no one else would have the balls to even attempt doing
Its nice to know nonetheless
I watch other gear heads just wrench stuff down not knowing or caring what the specs are, not so much on motors, but all the bolt ons, wheels and brakes. That stuff matters ladies and gents.
Exactly what I've been thinking!
😬😂👍
Haha never thought about that😂
@@ItsSerialBoX If you've wrenched a while, you develop a feel for when a fastener is tightened properly. That's for "normal" bolts, not torque-to-yield fasteners. For those I would agree, you need to use a torque wrench.
One of my favorite moments on this channel came from when you put the engine in the second time:
“That went in fairly smooth. Lot quicker than the last time. I think when I do this for the third time I can be pretty drunk, and still do it correctly.”
I've had a shitty day... But it doesn't matter when Sreten comes through with a fresh video🤠
It's always a fresh injection of sretotonin. 😁
Fogging oil for men goes a long way to turning a bad day around! 😁
By far this is the absolute best automotive restoration channel on RUclips! It’s a pleasure to watch an expert at work! Thank you for sharing your craft and passion with us! I bought an M539 shirt that I’ll wear with pride 😊
Yeah easily the best, so informative a d wwll done but also really entertaining
Its a proper and serious one, unlike hoovies garage and channels like that.
i wouldn't mind buying a car from you, because i know it's like buying straight from the manufacturer. the amount work that you put in is out of this world, its pure perfection.
i would buy any car he put his hand on blindfolded
better than the manufacturer i would say, you know that Sreten properly tests them
I think a fully restored car by Sretan would command a premium. He sold the e46 M3 convertible in the US for a good price actually but he hasn’t finished doing all the repairs he would do for his project cars in Europe.
Manufacturers don't go to this level of detail and attention. They just throw things together and torque only the bare minimum which must be torqued to specification. Sreten goes WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY beyond the manufacturer level of quality. I'd much rather buy a car from Sreten than from manufacturer.
From the manufacturer it would be cheaper :)
Living the dream, dude. Congratulations. As I've watched you over the years I think as you've become a happier person... dumping the old job, etc... you've let more of your weird out on camera and I'm for it! Happy for you and thanks for continuing to teach this community of fellow obsessive weirdos. I am certain it has been a tremendous amount of work.
Well said!
Instead of weird, seeing more of Streten's quirks and features (technical abilities) ;)
Wish I’d found him before I let mine go 😢
Channel getting so big Alpina actually reached out to YOU. Car looks amazing, can't wait for the detail to see that paint pop. Great work as usual.
I was damage control, not a goodwill gesture.
Nice nonetheless.
@@KunigasSuvirintojas oh agreed but they still could have had him pay for it :). Bmw parts in general are ludicrously expensive, they didn't have to do anything but glad they did.
@@bluej511 I can't forget how they first reacted...
@@lollypop9580 can you post the link, i wanna see please
@@lollypop9580 This is a bit hypocritical display of sympathy from Alpina...
It is pretty cool that Alpina reached out to help in the end (you certainly changed their minds).
16 episodes! This is surely the go to reference repair manual for the Alpina B7 and e65 in general. Love the paint.
The only other addition required would be the background on the development of the style and engineering! Then, its complete.
I always feel amazed whenever I see Sreten take apart an automatic transmission. The courage is strong with this one !
I swear!
Nah... he just knows his stuff, very competent technician.
must be a huge compliment when someone like alpina recognize the work you do.
I think you shoud replace rear subframe bushings. As this car has huge torque, these bushings sustain huge amount of force and wear out quicker, and as they wear out, subframe starts to move more than it should. Maybe that causes floatyness at high speeds. Probably you could upgrade them into polyurethane ones, like Strongflex red ones, but OEM bushings also shoud improve stability of the car
I hope you'll get an idea what I want to say, because my english is a bit poor :D
I think I might end up doing that. Gonna give them a closer inspection, but I can feel that the rear end moves more than it should over uneven road or when I hit a bump.
Disagree! Your English is better than most native speakers. 😉
@@TheDAMeaning I even had to use google translate for some words I forgot over time 🤣
@@mantaspaulius5426 We can understand you, that's what counts at the end of the day. 👍😉
Things are just properly done without getting boring. Just simply very good content.
I never thought this turd would be this stunning, what a gorgeous color, excellent job by Artur and his team. I can't wait for Project Chicago to visit Alpina HQ. When the project is 100% done, can you shoot some wallpaper material as you did on Project Marbais and Project Dubai?
Yeah you should, I'm agree 100%
Where do I get this wallpaper?
After so many setbacks, it was great to see everything coming together to perfection here! Paint looks great and super nice of Alpina to get involved and support the restoration.
Man, this 7-series looks soo beautiful. I always smile when I see a very nice car, beautiful designed. You can look at this car for 24h straight and don't get bored, and when seen the next day, it's like seeing it for the first time. Definition of beauty.
Wow, nothing was broken at the end. Excellent.
Your dedication to these cars and your content is admirable. Keep up the good work!
It is amazing that Alpina CEO reached to you and helped with the project))))))))
One of the best episodes, mainly because this was such a huge headache for you. "anything is a hammer" is an appropriate slogan for this B7 series, your perseverance has been your hammer!
Man Alpina really stepped up with that supercharger! Extremely, extremely cool. Must take the sting off "Part 16" of this project a bit!
Glad you got the Alpina repainted. Now I hope you decide to keep it and enjoy it. Beautiful car. Amazing that Alpina sent you all those parts and rebuilt the supercharger. They saved you a huge amount of money. Very generous of them.
First time ever I'm considering to buy BMW e65 LCI after watching all those episodes of Project Chicago. Because at finale car looks AMAZING! and your job Sreten, just marvellous!
Dont do it 🤦🏻♂️
@@AbarthAH you had one?
I love this project. Successfully dealing with all that struggles with the engine it really lifted this channel to a very high quality level. Amazing to watch!
Thank you, Sreten. Your channel is great. It has a taste of real life to it without being boring. It gives one a great sense of all the complexities and perils of doing such complicated mechanics in one's home garage. And no, after watching your vids I will never ever buy an Alpina! BMW is just the right balance between performance and refinement on one side, and maintainability on the other!
The level of detail you put into your restorations is the best. The thought that the head of Alpina offered their assistance says a lot for what you are doing and how well you are doing it. This car has turned out beautiful. Keep up the great work and just a great content.
Brave man doing that gearbox service
What a machine Sreten! Still doesn't beat E38 750il but man what a luxe cruiser monster this thing is
Oh he needs a e38
The paint looks amazing in the video, I can only imagine how stunning it must be in person. So very impressed with your attention to detail and what you’re doing with all your vehicles.
That's one of the most behaved pups ever. So cute.
I have loved watching every episode and this one especially with the ZF6 being worked on. The TCU electronics (the black assembly with the electrical connections) doesn't look much but buried inside it is a very special electronics module, the brain of the transmission, constructed on a ceramic substrate. Where I work we made some of the chips that go inside it, its a technological work of art buried inside every ZF6 never to be seen.
Alpina thanks for helping my friend with his dream
What an incredible piece of machinery you have brought back to it's former glory!
the best repair channel, I Love your Job Sreten
So glad the Alpina is back on the road and not causing more headaches! The paint looks amazing
Svaka ti čast za to što si se uzdržao da ne zapališ alpinu nakon svega.

Yes! Carbon Black looks fantastic!
The level of dedication and attention to detail throughout this whole series, and more generally on your channel, is astonishing. Truly inspiring content, bravo et merci !
Amazing , this is the exact same colour I chose to custom paint the roof of my CLK55 AMG ...in dull conditions it looks black , but the blue comes out in the sun .
Great choice Sreten !
Yesssss, the rivnut undertray mod with oem bolts is the most satisfying thing I have seen in a while Sreten! Knowing how trash the plastic clips are and losing a couple undertrays myself too, this modification felt personal to me.
I always watch the episodes to the very end, just for that music.. It's addictive in a good way... 😍 as always best content.
Sreten you are such an inspiration to anyone who hesitates to try something they have never done before. You are fearless and there's nothing you won't tackle!! Been watching you since day one and I just love the fact that you are so damn fussy about everything. Do it right or stay home!!!!! Won't be long you'll be at 500K subs!!!
Bet you put a few smiles on the autobahn driving this beast 😊
The DYNO video will be massive, i know many folks have been waiting after the engine videos. Car looks lovely.
Amazing work, from start to finish, just great attention to detail. So much patience. Well put together video, the good the bad and the ugly!
What a long, hard road this was man. Glad to see it approach the finish line in one, beeeautiful piece. Here's to the final countdown. 🕶
The Alpina looks stunning 😎😍🤩
Well done mate, you deserve all the credit for doing what you doing , you are next level on car rebuild. Love your videos.
I’ve never heard of an Alpina before watching these episodes. But by now I’m falling in love with Alpina 😂
Wow what a long road it has been, loved this series as I do all the other projects you do. Best car channel on YT by far!
I love that Alpina wanted to help and mot aend a cease and desist after all the engine trouble.
This man is a total rockstar of professional awesomeness.
Azurite Black metallic...now that's what we call man with great taste. Ravens and crows are actually that color and they are the smartest and wisest of all birds.
You are a master at bringing the car back to new. Keep up the great content!
The colour is GREAT ! Love it.
I'm glad we have Sreten. Keep up the amazing work man!
I think, that many people only wait, when came next Sreten video. Always something interesting. Thank you 👍👍
Congratulations Sreton. Your resolve and persistence is richly rewarded with this car!
Beautiful colour! Well done. MUCH better.
Alpina helping out is awesome to see, these parts were probably sitting on shelves accumulating dust lol
What a nice taste you had for the color.
Azurite is beautiful in Real life. 👍
Much awaited, much appreciated excellent work as always.
Love the Alpina Saga!
Man aside from M3. This is my fav build.
This car has everything, speed acceleration, grunt. And yet you can go 300kmh while having a coin on your dash with out it falling over.
Eu andaria neste carro pelo resto da minha vida. Que obra de arte!
Absolut mayestic. I have no wordstoo describe the hipe when i see your post on instagram saying that a new episode was on. Thank you.
Sreten, shouldn't it have an Alpina badge ?
Mask and trunk have BMW logos, while wheels and steering wheel has alpina badges. You also have ALPINA B7 text-badge on the trunk

were still producing the same gearbox. check out ZF 8HP 70 gearbox (Hydrodynamic planetary gearbox)
It shifts in around 0,5seconds
Thank you Mister ! Weekend starting out fantastico
Your Chanel is absolutely the best
2:45 -- OH, YEAH! Absolutely love it! 🥰
Kudos for Alpina...that was really nice ... Bravo Alpina bravo 👍
Congratulations on 400,000 subscribers. Really deserved every single one!
Great decision in color, looks amazing 👍👍
Bravo on the color choice, many years ago I had a 5 series M-Sport in Carbon Black. To this day it remains the best color I’ve had on a car. It looks wonderful in the video however I know from experience with Carbon Black, it must be seen in person to truly appreciate it.
Thankyou for these amazing projects!!! We are so lucky!!!!
I hate ads but I watch them on your channel and don’t skip to fully support your work!
Creators do get more if people don’t skip. 😉
Your persistence, dedication and tenacity are really something. I've been following this saga since Part 1. I'm so impressed.
Wow that color turned out BEAUTIFUL , pozdrav iz Splita
Me in the first minutes after Sreten unveiling the car "why are the kidney's not OEM". Same me after 6 minutes "ah.. that's why". But to be honest, really lovely paint! it turned out beautiful! And nice of Alpina to reach out to you in such a way!
Service the trans on our X5 this past summer, did the fluid, pan, and seals. Thought I was rather ambitious and then watch this ! As always great content.
Indeed..a beautiful paint job👌🏼
4:35 oh i'm so relived. Thank you for saving this beast of a car... automotive history. It really belongs in a museum or exhibition.
gorgeous color... coming along beautiful
That color is AMAZING!!! What a beautiful Alpina!! That was so great of Alpina to hook you up with so much. It’s so perfect I’d be afraid to drive it. Enjoy!
A truly excellent job Sreten. Makes me want to correct all the defects on my 98 BMW Zed 3.
For the brakes: Steel lines, Fluid, Cooling and Pads. 👍🏼
Suggestion that's not important but will still say: When it comes to a car like this with that paint job, I know a lot of people want to see it being recorded from another car, while you drive on the autobahn. Those perfect alpina rims, the timeless car design, the new paint job seen in the road from another point of view would be priceless content and absolute icing on the cake after taking us on such a long entertaining journey. It would be an awesome movie like ending scene for such an epic series :)
This Alpina always reminds me of my ZHP. It’s almost like an oversized one with updated taillights and 2 extra doors.
I have about 30 subscriptions on RUclips. This is the best channel bar none. This car has been an epic journey that's had me rooting for Sreten to succeed. Big respect, Sreten. Also I want to give massive respect to our polish brothers for putting in the graft and demonstrating tight skills to deliver an amazing paint job that eludes so many (if not all) lazy and disinterested paint shops in the west who need to start taking a leaf out of the hard working and dedicated polish book. Even Alpina recognising the dedication here and delivering the goods. Honestly this video has made me feel so happy. Have a great weekend all the hard workers out there. Respect from the UK.
Paint looks great! 👍🏻 😎 that’s a great color
Watched all episodes of this ride mad props bro you got blessed hands thanks for reviving this beast 👍
Now when you have fresh plastic from alpina you should 3D scan, then when it brakes just print it out. Love the channel, love your work. All the best!
and this is a big big WIN my man! Color is stunning and 100% match the car's attitude, wise 15 mins ))
So happy that this car was successfully restored, cheers for your patience. That's what a BMW should be, not with a radiator in the front!
I never, but never comment on any youtube videos, but this repairs you perform on cars are out of this world. I've learned so much from you, huge huge thanks! Also it made me really happy when i saw You are using park tool tools :D
