Optimus prime was one of the characters that I appreciated the most during my childhood and part of my adolescence as well. For this reason, I decided to pay him this little tribute. I hope you enjoy!

He is the greatest leader
While I believe Darth Vader is the best villain in cinema history, Optimus Prime is the best hero in cinema. He represents everything a good leader must be, someone who is willing to do what must me done while not taking any more risks or endangering anyone than is necessary. While he fights against his enemies he doesn't allow himself to be consumed by hatred for them which gives him a clear mind for a clear strategy. After everything he has been through and all those he has lost, he remembers his role and the responsibility he has and the trust people put in him to do the right thing and lead the autobots to victory. That is a sign of a true hero.

There are simply no words to describe how STRONGLY he inspires me to become a better and better version of myself. He is really a role model for me, an incredibly strong personality, he went through so many difficulties and managed not to lose himself, his faith in goodness and justice, when, it would seem, the world again and again tried to plunge his Soul into the abyss of anger, despair and cruelty .
He is an example of a real Leader, for whom it is really not a pity to give his life.
Around a large number of living beings, which he calls and called friends, who stood with him, fought with him, lived with him, he is still alone in carrying his burden of the Leader, and even despite this loneliness - he fights, fights for those who believes in him, who is next to him, fights for justice, for truth, for the innocent. He is incredibly noble. A real Knight and Warrior.
He is really an example for me to become a real Leader and develop the qualities of a real Leader. He is Great.

The most undermined thing I believe people miss about the auto bots is that they have no reason to defend humans. They really don’t need us but still protect humans, that part about them is what made a lot of people fall in love with the series that I think the misunderstood will never understand. Some say "It´s just animation...just CGI. He´s not real." - And? That doesn´t matter to me. His words - animated synchro or real - inspires people and that is what count.
There is a german band called "Silbermond". They have made a song called "Krieger des Lichts" (Knight of the light) and one verse reminds me on Optimus right away.

Optimus was always a big role model for me along with Liono and He-man. All strong characters with a moral centre. Masculinity with control.
Back then we all grew up on tales of honour and decency mixed into a strong role model character.. Fighting for something worthwhile and something good not just bickering over nothing.
I doubt many who grew up idolising characters and personalities like this, became a "bad egg" or toxic.
What they don't get when they emasculate the good male role models, is they disempower the new generation. They dont see that message that they have to act for a greater good.
They wont intervene when they see crimes, doing it because it is the right thing to do. That message is not out there anymore, the strong male role models are all but gone.
If you look at the stuff we had growing up, it had an abundance of morals and good character in it.
We are where we are at the moment because there are many people out there that look out for themselves, and fewer that will risk their own safety by standing up to the tyranny of others. No moral compass in the messages permeating their young lives.
Undervaluing the power of that message is biting us in the societal arse.
