I'm so happy jyp didn't cheap out with them. At first, i worried that their debut wouldn't be very popular, and as a result, he wouldn't invest as much in their band anymore. But, luckily, that wasn't the case!
JYPE really let these boys go all out for this comeback. Downtuned guitars, metal screams for the hook, double bass drums, they didn't pull back this is a genuine metal song
The metal screams are from Yoon DoHyun , singer of YB one of the biggest rock bands in Korea. That's a great Collab for sure, that brings the heavier side of Xdinary heroes, and as a metal fan and podcast creator I talked about YB , so I'm really happy right now.
FRR i’ve been waiting for xdinary to go heavier! groups like dreamcatcher have slowly gotten heavier and heavier, though mostly in their bsides. i hope this’ll get more groups incorporating metal/hard rock into kpop!!

i love that they really went full metal on this song. not many band idols have the guts to touch this genre because they are afraid of how the general public might react, but xdinary heroes stay true to their nickname which is, “a melting pot of genres”. they are always surpassing themselves by trying different genres and not confining themselves to just one. they are really doing an amazing job and i’m very confident that they will become big someday. xdinary heroes you will always be the best rock band

There are bunch of OG K-pop groups/artists from the very first gen doing heavy metal as well，try Click-B，Moon Hee-joon，Seo Taiji and few H.O.T, Shinhwa songs, they were making pretty good Nu-Metal / Thrash metal back then 😁

This is so fucking cool.. as a metal head myself this is the most successful K-pop metal crossover I’ve ever seen. They really went all out and I respect them for that. You can tell that they’ve taken inspiration from some reputable artists in the scene and i think they did an amazing job at respecting the genre while also creating something new.

Grew up listening to progressive metal/new metal music so that always remains my first love in music. I didn't know of XDINARY Heroes music until recently. I knew of them but not following them. And then this MV came up in my feed and I have been instantly hooked. I guess I have a lot of catching up to do.

YOU'RE SO RIGHT. My entire existence in middle school was KORN, which then turned into Muse in high school, which then turned into kpop during my first couple years of college, and now I'm here, combining all the things I love into one with Xdinary Heroes.
Everyone complaining about the views and I kinda get it, but also, this is what most K-pop views would look like without ads and mass streaming, especially for a relatively new group (even more so for a band). It's funny when I see a MV from a group I've never heard of that debuted last month and they have millions of views already, it's obvious that it's from ads. Even big, popular groups wouldn't get hundreds of millions on every song without ads. It's not even bad, just a way to promote a song, but I wish people were more aware that it's not a real number and realistically it takes much longer to even get to a few millions. Still, Xdinary Heroes deserve better of course, but they'll get there
@@dramarei.1 I still think they have a similar target audience as K-pop groups and their fandom works the same as any K-pop fandom, they're a JYP band after all, they went through the training system and all. I don’t understand why everyone is confused, plus rock and metal aren’t that popular in Korea since kpop groups currently take up a large percentage of the Korean music market. They are a genuine Korean rock band anyway, and views have nothing to do with that but what the public likes, if you look at their other songs they are passable in terms of views, but this song is not that much liked by Koreans, and most of the xdinary heroes fandom is Korean, the great thing about this song is that the international fandom can grow more, we need that.
@@desmond107 and in reality it's not that the bands have a training system similar to kpop groups, but that's how agencies work, but they're not that similar, since in bands the agencies only look for those who really have talent, sing and play well, that's why many are recruited from the street being street artists to later sign with an agency and debut, they don't train much because most have already played an instrument for years and have experience, on the other hand training to be a kpop idol is different, the preparation training is completely different, although it also depends on the agency
@@desmond107 In the case of JYP it's a bit curious because they were only a kpop agency, but after a member of day6 auditioned (and didn't dance well), jyp came up with the idea of forming a band because the boy sang well and had potential, and from there jyp debuts bands, although currently it only has 2. Anyway, that's why JYP bands are influenced by "kpop", but still So they are still bands that make krock :)

xdinary heroes are, at this moment, one of the best """mainstream""" bands right now - please, understand that i emphasise mainstream in quotations, as lesser-known rock/metal bands are harder to have a big audience, especially asian ones -. i wish they were more recognised towards the big public as a band that isn't afraid to travel between genders and still deliver such incredible songs. as a rock/metal fan myself, their collab with yoon dohyun also proves that big rock names in south korea know how talented they are. I am incredibly proud to be their fan

와 원래 메탈 이런거 잘 모르는데 뭔가 엑디즈표 메탈이 이런맛이구나 하고 나도 모르게 입벌리면서 감상 함 그동안의 느낌과 또 다른데 또 잘 어울려 엑디즈만의 하드메탈이 궁금하고 더 보고 싶어졌어 이런 밴드가 있다는게 멋지고 자랑스러워

Everyone complaining about the views and I kinda get it, but also, this is what most K-pop views would look like without ads and mass streaming, especially for a relatively new group (even more so for a band). It's funny when I see a MV from a group I've never heard of that debuted last month and they have millions of views already, it's obvious that it's from ads. Even big, popular groups wouldn't get hundreds of millions on every song without ads. It's not even bad, just a way to promote a song, but I wish people were more aware that it's not a real number and realistically it takes much longer to even get to a few millions. Still, Xdinary Heroes deserve better of course, but they'll get there

@@dramarei.1 I still think they have a similar target audience as K-pop groups and their fandom works the same as any K-pop fandom, they're a JYP band after all, they went through the training system and all. But if we go by "they're a genuine K-rock band" that would make their views even more impressive, like ... A LOT more
@@desmond107 I see your point, but even though they are managed by JYP they are a band. I don’t understand why everyone is confused, plus rock and metal aren’t that popular in Korea since kpop groups currently take up a large percentage of the Korean music market. They are a genuine Korean rock band anyway, and views have nothing to do with that but what the public likes, if you look at their other songs they are passable in terms of views, but this song is not that much liked by Koreans, and most of the xdinary heroes fandom is Korean, the great thing about this song is that the international fandom can grow more, we need that.
@@desmond107 and in reality it's not that the bands have a training system similar to kpop groups, but that's how agencies work, but they're not that similar, since in bands the agencies only look for those who really have talent, sing and play well, that's why many are recruited from the street being street artists to later sign with an agency and debut, they don't train much because most have already played an instrument for years and have experience, on the other hand training to be a kpop idol is different, the preparation training is completely different, although it also depends on the agency
@@desmond107 In the case of JYP it's a bit curious because they were only a kpop agency, but after a member of day6 auditioned (and didn't dance well), jyp came up with the idea of forming a band because the boy sang well and had potential, and from there jyp debuts bands, although currently it only has 2. Anyway, that's why JYP bands are influenced by "kpop", but still So they are still bands that make krock :)

xdinary heroes are, at this moment, one of the best """mainstream""" bands right now - please, understand that i emphasise mainstream in quotations, as lesser-known rock/metal bands are harder to have a big audience, especially asian ones -. i wish they were more recognised towards the big public as a band that isn't afraid to travel between genders and still deliver such incredible songs. as a rock/metal fan myself, their collab with yoon dohyun also proves that big rock names in south korea know how talented they are. I am incredibly proud to be their fan
