- The carbine 1865 is a brand new medium ammo rifle that deals a whopping 145 damage. I played it for a few hours on the first day of launch, and this video features 3 of my best rounds with this weapon from the first day of playing it. Enjoy!

Man it's so hype that one of my favorite guns from the time period got added to hunt, and it performs exactly how it should too, I'm very much expecting a swift variant very soon, that uses a metal tube to dump rounds into it
I wish for a rifle version with a bayonet.
@@antonandreyevichstepanov4131 full rifles have interested me, because the Martini-henry should have a full barrel length version too, I'd love them to have better velocity or drop stats, and yeah, a bayonet is dope

I am a big fan of remington rolling block, i know that we already have 3 single shot rifles in the game, but i dont think one more would do any harm.
@@antonandreyevichstepanov4131 yeah, a friend of mine also proposed the Smith carbine as well, I think for game diversity it's probably best if they don't add any more single shots, but I totally agree that these options would be cool/fun to play with

While I agree with this, another fun fact is the fact this won American military contract durring The American Civil war against the Henry Repeating Rifle. Ordinance bought 300 of them while leaders of units with good pocket money managed to purchase there companies Henry Repeating rifles. Spencers had better ballistic performance and pen at a sacrifice of fire rait, while Henry offered fire-rait but was using pistol cartridges so while it had a high cap it was limited at range.
Ultimately the Henry failed because the tubular magazine was weak and could dent if dropped causing feeding failure, so the Spencer was over-all selected to be the new weapon of choice. It was sold as surplus after the civil war in favor of purchasing more armaments for the whole army, that was the Springfield Trapdoor, which allowed the army to fire faster then just a small company or two doing it while the rest fired muskets only. This mentality is what got us into Krag later, and then the Springfield varriant of the Mauser Kar 98k.
The Spencer carbine also had regular 24 inch barrel rifles and had optional mounts to accept the Springfield bayonet.
Also something I've noticed with the update that nobody has mentioned yet is, I believe xp gain was changed and you now get xp by dealing damage, not just kills, worth looking into and testing cuz yesterday I got the bornheim match unlock from a round in which I only shot the boss a few times with it
That would actually be nice if that's confirmed because sometimes I can only kill grunts with weapon variants I'm trying to unlock, ie shotgun variants but I only got long-range kills with the not shotgun
@@ryanle1293 yeah totally, it makes me sad cuz the Martini-henry is my favorite rifle by far but I normally use it to get the enemy low to finish them off, by the way, high velocity on it is super hype, even with the high velocity nerf, I do wonder how much it buffs it, I'm hoping to like 600 m/s
I swear that's how it has always been. You kill AI and you get xp for that weapon
@@MrCaw77 no, that was how it works, what I'm saying is, I believe you now get xp just for the damage you deal instead of exclusively from kills, the old way it worked meant you could only get xp from actually killing a boss or enemy hunter, no matter how much damage you dealt, if you didn't get the killing blow you got no xp, I believe it's different and more fair now

I really like when you put in parts in the video, to show the different rounds easier. But otherwise it is a really amazing video.

@@iMost067it’s basically an ironside but better in every way besides pen and MV. I’m not sure I like it balance wise for how aggressively it overshadows the ironside tbh
@@ieajackson5518 only other aspects is ammo economy and reload.
Reload on new riffle is always long because of full animation before that reload. its worse than ironside.
Damage retantion with range is better on Ironside, even at 40m it would deal more damage than new riffle, and further that difference only increases.

- medium ammo 70$ rifle does more damage than mosin
- 400$ long ammo revolver damage nerfed

tbh this thing is a lot clunkier than a mosin. fires way slower too. not to mention the horrid velo and lack of ammo options.
a mosin is basically way better in every regard, and if money is a problem... well thats why we have the cheap loadouts, and going all out.
This whole new map and overhaul is absolutely insane! Took me a few soul survivor matches to get used to the new GFX but I'm soooo in love with it!

Got a fairly rig with 7600x and a 3070, to smooth things I had to cap frames at 90 and tweak some of the most demanding setting (global illuminatiom and shadows)
Gotta play defensively and approach from as far as possible and try to land headshots.
This won't work trying to snipe from 150m away with a 240m/s carbine, but you could pull off an 80m shot with a Krag or other +500m/s rifle and be very surgical with positioning.
I can charge through a compound and occasionally headshot the bow guy hogging the cliff who decided to be in front of me. But charging in when you hear players is a bad strat.
Never allow yourself to be known unless you're 3rd partying bc if you hear them 40 meters away as a solo and try to get in LoS they gonna hear you & all gun you down

Fair warning fights like this can be few and far between. Most of the playerbase gets their bounty token as easy as they can, then high tail it to the exit all while avoiding enemy players as much as possible. Such is the nature of an extraction shooter.

I just love hunt. I always had a hard time with the lowered crosshair but with it centered im loving it. It feels so much like a sequel to fistful of frags a game I played so much of when I was younger. The variety in this game is also unmatched everything feels good and unique to use and the utility focused pvp is amazing especially with again the variety in it. The game is easily one of the best PvP experiences around and way better than current state of tarkov which used to be my favorite game.

This gun is my favorite. I love that boomstick :D one of the best guns in the game. Good Handling, little bit slow, long reload but massive damage! From 4 Star to 5 Star with this gun :D

Still trying to get used to this gun, but I'm liking it so far. The high damage for a medium ammo rifle almost makes it feel like a repeating Sparks, but I personally feel like the sluggish bullet velocity holds it back for newer or less skilled players. Really solid pick for budget loadouts tho.

I loved the bow when it first came out, then they nerfed it hard. It never felt good enough. The bow buffs have felt insane! I'm in love with it all over again. Look forward to seeing what you can do with it and its new damage. Still trying to figure out an ideal secondary to go with it lol.

I find it insane it does 145 for a medium ammo weapon, haven't checked if it has ammo types in the BP but I feel like bleed rounds would be strong for it.
What I don't really like about it, tho, is that huge hammer (if that's what it is) on it. Kinda reminds me of the Martini Ironside, blocking a felt 99 % of your view when you're aiming 😅

Bleed rounds would make people cry and uninstall. And they would be right about that rage. How about some bleed into sparks then?) Basically the same - faster bullet, but single action, lul. Kinda “balanced”

Upscaling options have been added in the graphics settings, DLSS/FSR.
You should be able to nearly double fps with performance/ultra performance mode
@@ace_falken5362i was able to play at 60 fps stable with everything on medium(some things on high), now with everything on low and dlss i have 60 unstable fps that drop down a lot in gunfights, and in some compounds drop to 30. That being said, i know that it judt came out and its normal that it has this performance issues, i just hope they fix them quickly.
@@ace_falken5362 The peak fps are not the problem. They vary from 120 to low 30 within the same settings.

I haven't had any drops below 60% average fps, much less below 25%

Its really stout, i dont think it fits well with the other medium ammos, but i do really like the potency medium ammo now has. It has solid velocity, less drop than long ammo, now buffed damage range, & better total ammo generally still. Its actually competitive without just putting bleed on every single time.

assists used to count as kills, so the math was (kills + assists) / deaths
they probably decreased the worth of assists, or removed it completely

@@REXNOR_TV i think 145 is a bit high for a cheap repeater vs the drillings 2 shots... 120 damage for $500+. Drilling does have bleed though so maybe not the drilling, 145 with bleed is too high, but it needs some love now that this is available. Or its the typical crytek overtune on a new weapon and it will get nerfed post event (spear too).
bullets too slow though, that's the main problem for me.

Everything about the new hunt is amazing except 2 things obviously there are small glitches with graphics and weapons that will get hot fixes but I wish the ui was still the old ui( I'm saying that being on console) and there is something different with the movement/aiming all my settings are set back to what they where and no matter how much I up it or lower it it just feels too slow or too fast maybe it's just me but something is weird hopfully I'll get used to it or the 2 things will get fixed at some point

I hope they add a Henry rifle next to complete the Civil War era repeating rifle duo. It would use compact ammo and there would be a pistol variant that works like a volcanic, which you can dual wield.

What are these lobbies?? Ive been getting first shot headshot all day, and your opponents are letting you re-peek multiple times and jump around in the open without cover.

Very high damage for a quick and cheap medium rifle 👍
145dmg, fast fire rate, fast reload, no grubber needed, good ammo reserve, only $70. Only drawbacks are no long ammo penetration, no levering, and super slow velocity. I like it as is since it has some nice animations and fills a unique role, but won’t be surprised if they raise the price

I play on EU. I was on russian servers for 2 hours while EU was down and I have less than 40 ping there since I am from Norway. What is your problem?
@@REXNOR_TV I have no problems and I like your way you playing but while all the world bans russians where it’s possible even trying to avoid them as random teammates saying them that they are guilty while Hunt keeps russian servers making them happy in their lifes.
And I’m still your subscriber but It would be great if you show other subscribers that it’s not good even play with russians. I hope you understand my pain
