You'd be surprised how many people actually would do that. Even professional guards sometimes do it without back up or proper weapons. Something about the inability to accept a break in their Routine mundane or safe life style. i say this out of experience. i have seen policemen who are off duty and without weapon go out into the night to check noises in the dark, when questioned about their recklessness they would say that it was nothing probably just some animals, and having that scenario get validated one too many time make them assume themselves to be experts and will always assume every sound in the dark to be an animal that needs to be scared off until it lands them in trouble. I've seen people hear the hiss of snake and go in the direction of the sound saying it must be something else only to stand corrected but do the same next time saying what are the odds.

Wow. A slasher film where the survivor is a dude and he doesn't get unalived at the end. It's already good because of that.
I just hope they don't make a sequel, unalives him then have the final survivor a girl instead. Looking at you with disgust hostel and evil dead.

My god man. The amount of times RUclips recommended this crap, here I am finally watching it and I can easily say this is the absolute worst movie or even recap i've ever seen in my life. Anything for a quick buck huh guys.
Yeah guys let's just go out for an adventure to a cabin with known disappearances in the area and let's just go outside at night whenever we hear noises. Better yet the old guy that "knows" about everything including the fact that everything passes over in the morning comes to the cabin at night, drives, and dies. Yep nice one. Yes let's just not explain how Big Foot has been able to survive all this time in the woods with known wendigo's in the area. Yeah, better yet in the finally scene let's just have one of the remaining survivors casually drop a shovel under absolutely NO pressure while hiding so they can give their spot away, yeah. This movie has a plot that contradicts everything that goes on in the movie.

@ Apparently the plot is big foot and wendigos live in the same forest, the wendigos only attacks at night and not only that but attacks supposedly selfish people. While that happens bigfoot is apparently the person trying to save everyone from the wendigo. Everything I just said contradicts each other because if the wendigo only attacks at night why the hell in the very last scene does the possessed girl attack in broad daylight? I have no idea. Not only that she attacks the only non selfish person who has been spared up until this point, man I have no idea what's going on in the crap
