Just watched Donnie Yen in John Wick 4. In my opinion Donnie stole the show. Clearly his martial arts abilities are too notch but he does it with so much style and swag. He made the character Caine look invincible. You are a legend Donnie!
I agree that Donnie was a fun addition to the John Wick series but I wish Donnie had gotten better opportunities from Hollywood, he could have been a huge action star in the USA (& all over the world). It's nice that he's gotten memorable supporting roles in some pretty big Hollywood movies, but why hasn't he been allowed to star in his own Hollywood movies? He could have been "the new Bruce Lee", Hollywood just never gave him the opportunity he deserved. Could it still happen? Maybe, but, honestly, Donnie's past his prime now, we all age.
I Saw the comparison but The diferent betwen Donney and bruce are 0.05 seg. (Front hit) bruce win, 0.02 (side hit) bruce win and 0.03 seg (kick) bruce win but in kick i see Donnie yen a little bit more faster. Bruce lee is a legend but Donnie deserve more Respect to.
I have no doubt that Donnie's a very skilled martial artist, but did his training include a lot of sparring? If so, how much contact was allowed? In short, I believe Briuce Lee was more of an experienced expert in real fighting than Donnie is, he was in numerous real/street fights& also sparred with many other martial artists during Bruce's many years of training.
@@BRUCEJJ66 Bruce was a Legend....but Donnie was a member of the chinatown gang in boston durin his early teens and used to fight underground and street brawling, later in his teens he won multiple world wushu tournament champion.....He learnt 15 different forms of martial arts including mma and boxing.....20 dancing lessons, parkour, breakdance and freestyle
@@rema11769 Dont believe that bullshit about gangs & underground fighting 🤣 A few petty brawls between a pair of teenagers hardly consists of gangland voilence. These guys are known to exaggerate thier story. Donnie is definately a talented martial artist & onscreen fighter. I seen his training videos on RUclips & he looks impressive but real sparring with *real fighters* is something diffrent altogether.
Donnie Yen is a legit fighter honestly.. He's trained various martial art styles and even got into a street fight, sending 8 men to hospital when his gf was harassed by them

But you need to take the fact into consideration that many cameras that filmed bruce lees speed aren't as accurate as todays technology.
