Young Sheldon Season 5 Episode 10
Young Sheldon is an American comedy television series on CBS created by Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro. The series is a spin-off prequel to The Big Bang Theory and begins with the character Sheldon Cooper at the age of nine, living with his family in East Texas and going to high school. Iain Armitage stars as young Sheldon, alongside Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Montana Jordan, Raegan Revord, and Annie Potts. Jim Parsons, who portrays the adult Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory, narrates the series and serves as an executive producer.

Connie is starting to show her selfish behavior but I love that Young Sheldon has a screwed up woman who’s very well-written. Doesn’t hurt that Annie Potts is a great actress.

I was thinking that as well. In the 80's, you pretty much knew everything from the 70's even if you weren't born in them as everything was showing the on the TV all the time as repeats. The Bee Gees were still popular as were bell bottom jeans!
@@cornbeef This would be the start of the 90's (using reference like Basic Instinct, which came out in 1992). Bell bottom jeans were already gone by that point and the BeeGees were already on the decline. You had groups like Kid Rock, Guns N' Roses, Mariah Carey, R.E.M., and others. Disco was pretty much dead at that point. Plus, this is in a small town in Texas, which leans heavily toward Country music. Take those into account and it is possible that Georgie may not have heard of Saturday Night Fever or the BeeGees. For kids like me who lived in the city (I lived in and around Houston, Texas since I was 7 years old), it's more likely we've heard of these things as the culture is quite a bit diverse than it is in a small Texas town, especially if you didn't grow up with cable TV.
I really enjoy and appreciate the dynamic between Meemaw and Georgie. The balance of love and respect is flawless!

Georgie was born in 1975. You'd think he would have at least heard of June's 70s pop culture references, even if he was too young to understand them at the time.

He probably willingly ignored it. Like, he listens to Black Sabbath albums from the early 70s, but not Bee Gee's stuff, because that's not his sort of music.

Meemaw seems to be in the change of life that never ends Goods she is cranky. So pretty and so cranky. My fave os Georgie. I want to see more of him and his brilliant ideas. Mary is not nice.
