Thanks for another great video. As a former airline pilot and instructor who's been fortunate to fly to a ton of non-airline served airports ...the PC-12 is "the one" for anyone with constant missions of under 600 nm or so. Most people don't know that there's a 250 knot speed limit under 10,000 feet. So, the shorter the route, the less time a jet saves one in trip time. The combo of fuel burn, speed, and pax capacity has been unbeatable. We'll see how the new Beechcraft Denali competes.
Fuel burn /use. A turbo-prop uses less fuel per NM than a Jet - however, it's slower. But, with a short enough trip, a jet doesn't save that much time. Plus, there's a 250 knot speed limit under 10,000 feet. @@BlackAfro77
I believe that it does have autothrottle already. They don't use Garmin avionics, so I suspect a "Home Safe" type option won't be any time soon. I don't know if Honeywell is working on such an option. Must be massively complex.
@@nxfedlt1 That would be nice! A 'Home Safe' feature would be a huge boost, plus many pilots moving up to an NGX would already be familiar with Garmin avionics.
This is the most versatile and cost effective aircraft after it is purchased. The TBM 960 is great and faster but how many passengers can go 1,700 miles without needing a bathroom? 4 or 5 hours holding it, just doesn’t work for most. The PC-12 is a little slower but if you have to stop to let grandma Betty pee, well their goes that speed performance advantage. That’s just my opinion. Both are absolute beast aircraft.
I have been a pilot since 1983 and have flown a lot of planes ............if you like single engine piston and I do because twins are more dangerous (P-factor) and more maintenance 2 engines not 1 ....... the Pilatus checks a lot of boxes .....safety, reliability, and luxury are just a few ................Swiss made ain't bad either !
@@climbmaintain It depends. For short flights at low altitude, the Pilatus will be superior to a jet, even with the current Pilatus price of over six million $. For long-haul flights at high altitude with a comfortable cabin altitude, a jet is much better than the Pilatus. You won't feel good on a five-hour flight with a cabin altitude above ten thousand feet in a Pilatus. And you won't save so much on expenses. Jets are also safer thanks to two engines, much faster climb rate, better anti-ice systems and high altitude cruise.
Can’t remember if it’s this video or another (I watched a few back to back), but there is one in the front of the plane. I noticed none of the videos showed it, just mentioned it existed.

Can I ask why you say under 600?

Thanks!
Thank you very much, David!
Awesome! 🎉
🤔 since when did it go from 5.5 to 8???
They propose you to buy two wings and one engine after you paid the 5.5
The NGX model is five years old, time to come out with a new updated model with autothrottle and a "Home Safe" type option.

@@GreatDataVideos garmin is coming.

The PC-12NGX has full FADEC, autothrottle, and "home safe" capability. I don't think they need to update it; no need to fix what isn't broken.
@@beachbum1523 there's no homesafe option. That is a garmin feature and as of now there's no Garmin decks in NG or NGx
Not an $8 million price tags;closer to 6
Yeah I would think so
Was thinking the same thing. The limited weight capacity, and sub 300kts for $8 million seems too steep.
There's a 2024 being sold for $7,500,000 right now.
current factory positions are not far from 8. They told me 3 year wait.
Just a perfect bullet with propeller.
Just after 6 minutes your video is of a Piper briefly.
It is 6.3 MSRP, you can grind them a little on a cash deal.

It’s always better to buy a bit used jet than a new single engine turoprop.
uh..no lol

Nice plane. Thought it was cheaper
I wish it was cheaper
Piper M600 accidentally in flight 🤣

I fly a pc12 without a toilet and have never needed one. 3500 hours on type.
@@Rubibi-saltwaterjimmost pilots never need the toilet, it’s really for the passenger that don’t plan
The toilet is optional.

8 million and no toilet 🚽 😒
You can not buy this plane for 5M.
not an NGX but you can easily buy a nice legacy for that much
Pretty useless airplane for 8 million bucks.
What's a better option at the same price point? Keeping in mind the base model of this plane is 4.4mil and the 8mil is with upgrades
pretty weird to call a machine that can fly through the air in plush comfort "useless". Expensive, maybe even overpriced? Yeah, sure. But not useless.
