full circle moment for me since i saw the music video upon which this film is based back when it came out like, around 10 years ago or so and counting...counting the days till this drops in theaters because to see one of my favorite music videos get adapted into an amazing film with an amazing cast and Hayley Kiyoko directing and seeing this beautiful coming-of-age lesbian love story in a supportive crowd full of thousands is an experience for which i'm sat

I just want to say thank you for bringing this film to life. When the Girls Like Girls music video came out in 2015, it made me feel seen in a way I hadn’t before. Watching it over and over, quietly and privately- felt like having a safe place I could return to whenever I needed it. I’m still not out but it makes me laugh because my siblings basically know the song by heart. I played it like my life depended on it.
Seeing the story turn into a film was such a beautiful surprise. I had no idea Hayley was creating something like this for us. Thank you so much for your vision, Hayley. I hope you’re surrounded by the same love you’ve given to so many of us, always.
